The hostel is in an excellent location, friendly staff. On the downside the Agoda description has "Free WiFi" in every room and this is incorrect. The kitchen is in the basement and overall cleanliness could of been better, the bathroom on the 3rd floor was in poor condition and the linen was very old.

This backpackers is well located and the staff is really nice. However, it wasn't clean, the sheets really didn't look clean, the room was smelly and with almost no furniture (no wardrobe or any shelves) and with a whole in the wall. In terms of facilities, I didn't use the kitchen so I won't say anything about it but the wifi is horrible and doesn't reach the room (or at least mine). It is cheap and you know why.

Comunication was good the room was good value for the money.. BUT the hall way leading to my room stank reaked of vomit to the point of dry reachting when i arrived I informed reception of this wasn't sorted for quite a few hours. didnt notice the smell when i got back to room in the wee small hrs but was to inebreated to notice much tbh smell had been sorted by the AM. I know its a backpackers but that smell was almost unberable. otherwise good value for money good staff, location

We stayed in a double room with an ensuit fir 50NZD, would not recommend. Everything was very old and dated eg there was one towel with a hole and discoloration, the pillows were very flat, and the duvet was shabby. The room as a whole looked very run down with dirty walls and skirting, dust, and alot of obvious uneven plaster work on the walls. The place definitly needs an upgrade!! The only good point about this place is its great location, the staff were somewhat helpful but not very fast or attentive.

Really dirty, no cutlery”
I’ve been to a number of hostels throughout the last 10 years and there’s always been cutlery provided. Here however, does not. You need to buy your own cutlery and sign out every plate, pan, knife etc. A bit annoying when you spend all day walking around to get back to make dinner and have to go out again beforehand to buy said cutlery as the front desk failed to advise its BYO cutlery. The facility’s cleanliness at the hostel was really gross. It doesn’t look like the walls or skirting boards have ever been cleaned. The showers are cold for the first 5 minutes. On the upside, the location is great as it’s right downtown. The hostel is cheap but even at the cheap price I paid was still too high considering how run down this hostel is and because they can’t even provide cutlery.

It was super dirty and smelly, there are people that lives there so the rooms are super messy, smelly and dark because they keep the windows closed. The good thing is that is right next to the main street, Queen street, a veeery good location but I tried to be less as possible in the hostel
