nice location”
the area was nice and behind a very nice canal. although the hotel does not have complete facilities like laundry there is a laundry area nearby. There is also a Catholic church around the corner. around 500 -800 meters is the center of the place where train station and a lot of stores are located.

A hotel over a charming canal ”
The hotel is situated along the Paris canal which is linked to a nearby large park with unique architecture. The cafe nearby were all good too.

50/50 staff, smelly bathroom, door left open by cleaning staff all day. Not recommended”
Great location if attending a convention at the grand halle de la villette, lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Decent sized room but our bathroom was stinking. Clean but reaked of feces - got worse when using shower or sink, must have been drains. Bar and drink menu was okay, barman was very nice and one daystaff but most others were awful, especially the short female night staff at reception. Unpleasant, unhelpful and very rude, needs another job. Breakfast is supposed to end at 11am but on our last day food/ coffee was being stopped at 10.30am with a barrier being put up to prevent other guests access to the breakfast room. Breakfast staff got huffy if you went up to get anything while they we're removing things. Biggest issue was cleaning staff on Sunday left our door open. We were gone from 9am to 10pm. Freaked out when we discovered our door was open ALL day with about £1, 000 worth of equipment in bags and suitcases inside. Luckily nothing was stolen but still. Won't be back.

Modern Hotel in a quiet neighborhood”
This relatively new Hotel in a rather quiet neighborhood right at the Canal de la Villette offers all amenities you expect from H.I. Express, including the complimentary breakfast. This was not bad but the staff was simply overwhelmed by the crowds that always packed the too small breakfast-room. The reception at check-in-time was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are pretty spacious and are equipped with everything one might need, except for a mini-bar. And the TV-set was too complicated. Overall we would recommend this hotel and come again.

Nice clean hotel with reasonable price”
Nothing great beyond expectation from Holiday Inn Express chain but also nothing really bad to say. It is not close to the main attractions in Paris but only 1 block away from the subway station which will get you there in a single train ride (no connections) right in front of Louvre in 20~25 min. Reasonably priced and has nice surrounding with many cafes, stores, and restaurants in walking distance. Also, right beside a waterway and hiking path along the water to enjoy non-busy part of Paris.

weekend in Paris”
The hotel is 5 min to next metro station Crimee Line 7. Hotel rooms are modern, very clean, super bathroom and comfortable beds. Breakfast is with good buffet - you are well advised to come early to breakfast room in the morning because lot of guests. A supermarket Monoprix is located directly near to metro exit/entry. Summary: the ratio price/benefit is very good for my opinion and absolutely recommendable!

Very comfortable hotel with a million dollar view ”
We had very pleasant 4 nites stay. Staff are helpful, and breakfast is very good. Room service is a little too efficient, cant wait to get rid of us from our room every morning. Also if the hotel maintenance is not careful the rooms might turn filthy soon. We notice the carpet floor not vaccumed everyday and there are signs of Black scums in the shower cubicle. Overall the hotel is clean and pleasant.

Service at its best”
Friendly and accommodating Front officers. Multifunctional, doing both guests' registrations, check outs and concierge. Clean room and toilette. The floor carpet is a good fabric in dainty fine stripes of beige & blue (though prone to stains). Net, I definitely will come back!

Pleasant”
Requested taxi was very late in arriving. The estimated fare was not informed to me. As such, the taxi driver over-charged us for the trip. We were 5 pax + luggage from hotel to Gare du Nord, which according to the meter was only EUR 6:60. The driver charged us EUR 26:60 !! The taxi company was Taxi Saint Julien Villiers SainFr, the trip was at approx. 11:30 am, 5 Dec 2013.

express says it all”
the hotel is quiet small, and although only a short walk to the rail station, but walk feels a bit scary after dark. lucky the day only turns dark after 10PM. breakfast is average, the hot food don't get served until after 7:30 although breakfast starts at 7.

This was my first visit in this hotel. it was close to the parks. also located near metro station(2 min on foot). And there was a police station near hotel. so, I feel secured. hotel was clean cozy.

Good hotel near public transport”
This was a reamly good find! The room wasn't too big but still had enough space for 3 people. The sofa bed was actually still pretty comfortable like the bed. The breakfast was also good : you can pick some fruits, pastries, bread, cereals and even pancakes. The room even has free coffee and tea and a boiler. I also liked that the view from our room. The only "bad" thing I would say is the doors of the shower opens up fully so you be careful when you take a shower as you might slip and fall through the doors. It's still quite a residential area so we felt quite safe and it wasn't noisy so we felt quite at ease!
