A great place to stay at Phu Quoc”
I felt like home when stayed at the Hiep Thoai hotel, when I check in at noon and the staff gave me 2 bottles of cool water, without fee. I was appreciated about that Hotel's location in the center of Duong Dong, Phu Quoc so it is convenient to discover the East, North and South of the island. I will stay again at this hotel in the next time

Great budget option. Great location! ”
I found it expensive for what we got, but Phu Quoc isn’t cheap. It wAs 30$ can. Per night. We had two beds, a fridge, a tv, a balcony, clean bathroom, etc. It was so clean. Staff were constantly cleaning the building. Location is the best part. Close to night market, beach access across the street, close to cheap restaurants, bars, etc. Kind of loud in the am we had room right on street but nothing to crazy. Staff spoke minimal English but always greeted with a wave and smile. It’s a great option in Phu Quoc

A great basic hotel”
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff and owner are very attentive and friendly. They make you feel at home. The room are bright and clean. The wifi is working well. The hotel is very clean and close to town and beach. I highly recommend this hotel during your stay in Phu Quoc. A very good value for the money.

Great family fun budget hotel; value for money”
The hotel is well located: just a short walk to the night market which is the centre of Duong Dong town. It is also very quiet. Other pros: very friendly staff (seems to be family run), easy motorbike rental through the hotel (200 000/day), lots of room (we had two double beds in our room for 600 000 dong/night), reliable wifi, and fairly comfortable beds. The a/c worked fine and was quiet too. The shower was a little inconsistent (someone really hot, sometime not), but at least it always had hot water coming out. Very clean too - the staff work hard at cleaning every day. The place seemed relatively new, as they put a dresser in our room (and the other rooms) a few days into our stay. The location is just across from a beach access point, so you can pretty much walk to the beach in two minutes. There are a few little stores to buy water, but you can also buy from the hotel too. There are three floors above the reception where the rooms are, and no lift, so if you don't want to climb, ask for a room on a lower floor. We were fine with the top floor. All in all a great basic place at a wonderful price.

Amazing location, value & staff”
Stay was awesome. Located 1 minute away from long beach and about a 5 minute walk to the local night market and many restaurants. The owner was very helpful and speaks good english. House keeping was also great. Rooms always very clean. I would most definitely stay at this location again if i return to Phu Quoc. My boyfriend and I stayed a total of five nights here.

Good basic hotel near beach”
Phu Quoc is a relaxing island to visit. Good seafood available everywhere (night market is VERY expensive and touristy). Street food is good. We hired bikes and cycled up the south west coast to find empty beaches. Signs of development are everywhere so may not remain unspoilt. A very relaxing stay.

great location in the heart of city center”
We wanted to enjoy our stay more than we did at Thoai Hotel Phu Quoc, it's in a great location in the heart of city center, we liked our room, and we enjoyed the ocean views from our windows and balcony. However the walls are very thin, the noise from the traffic can be heard all throughout the day and night. We requested a room with no smoking and during our stay someone, not sure if they are staff or not, was smoking cigarettes in the hall, even though there is a no smoking sign posted, which permeated into our room and made it wreak of cigarettes. Also complimentary water was included in our stay and when we asked for complimentary water they tried charging us for it - bummer.

Good location and friendly, helpful staff.”
We were happy to stay in this hotel, we found the room was clean and comfortable. It is close to the day and night market (the same place). You can have a nice seafood meal there at night. The lady staff was friendly and helpful, she was cheerful and helpful. The beach just across the road, just 1 minute walk. You can catch a taxi to the hotel and costed around 130,000 dong. We had a good impression of this hotel and would like to come back to stay when we go To Phu Quoc island again.

Nice, clean and affordable”
really good value for the price we paid. The room was spotless and the cleaning staff did an awesome job. The staff at the reception did really not speak english at all. We needed to use sign language to get an extra blanket and to borrow a hairdryer. Lack of restaurant and even a basic breakfast is a big minus. Location near the beach and not too far from the night market is a plus. Other than this hotel we did not like Phu Quoc that much. It's just not worth the travel. Crappy food in ovetpriced restaurants with rude staff. I wonder how this island will handle all the tourists they're planning on having at the resorts being build along the west coast. You'll find much more beautiful beaches and nicer places elsewhere in south east asia.

Clean, basic hotel with an excellent location ”
Our 3 person group was very happy with our 6 night stay at Hiep Thoai. The location was very convient: short walk from the night market and the riverfront, and right at the beginning of the Long Beach and the "tourist strip" full of restaurants and bars. We found the staff very welcoming and always helpful.

Was cheap and no-thrills”
This was a budget hotel that we stayed in for 2 nights. It served it's purpose as allowing us to orientate about Phu Quoc before deciding which part to stay in after. Was walking distance to eating places but there would be better located places to stay for this. Room ok, though had insects.... We were stuck on a higher level though. And this hotel has no lifts.

I can find a beautiful beach for 3 minutes and a lot of Western & Vietnamese restaurants with 10 minutes by walking. Room service and equipment are very good. The shower in my room has a small problem but still useful. Everything is clean. Motorbike for rent is ready at the hotel with 130.000 VND or 7 USD (from 6 am - 6 pm). There are many travel agencies nearby the hotel. I get to the hotel by taxi from international airport with 170.000 VND or 8 USD (one way) for 10 km. I also rent the taxi for one-day travel around the island with 2 milliion VND (94 USD). Food is expensive in the island (5 USD - 15 USD per seafood dish). There are two cheaper restaurants named Tuoi Tham and Le Giang. The restaurants are near to the hotel, just ask receptionist.

Good Value”
This was a good value hotel, with a spacious room, cable tv, wifi and hot water. Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially the lady who owns the hotel, she was very helpful. The location is not far from the town centre and the night markets (although they are over priced and only for tourists and to be avoided, there are better options in the town itself) Bike hire is available from many places nearby as the hotel cost of 200K Dong is a little expensive. They can arrange bus and trips from the hotel.

Friendly, extremely accommodatin, would recommend.”
We booked 1 night at first and ended up stayed 15 nights. Loved our stay at this hotel, felt so welcome by the owners and staff, really relaxed 2 weeks. Hotel was so clean, room was clean, we had a ocean view room, could sunbathe on our balcony if we didn't want to go to the beach, and watch the sunset every night in our own privacy. Opposite the hotel is the beach, then 5 minute walk if that to the town where there are loads of restaurants shops and the night market. Lady at the hotel arranged for us to have a scooter whenever we needed one, and also arranged for us to get the speed ferry over to ha tien. Overall, cannot recommend this homely enough, we loved our stay here and would definitely advise people to stay here. Staff we're so sweet and friendly, we we're sad to leave.

Great location for beach and town”
We really enjoyed staying here. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and the room was very comfortable - we loved the balcony and the view of the sea and sunsets. The is located right opposite one of the few points of public access to Long beach from the road which was very convenient. The hotel is run by a pleasant family - it was nice to chat to the children in the hotel lobby. The family were very helpful - they organised our motorbike for a very reasonable price and were always helpful. The hotel did not serve breakfast which was fine for us as we like to try different places.

Cheap clean hotel with a great staff”
Brilliant staff/owners close to the beach and town and lots of restaurants. I would recommend Anh Duong with its veranda on the sea front which is just down the road towards the town. The hotel itself does not provide any food.

Good to get you started on phu quoc ”
We booked a sea view room which was on the top floor. Basic but new and spotlessly clean Nice little terrace to sit out on or dry your towels. It's on a Main road so you do get some traffic noise. Handy for night market - turn right out if the hotel to walk ten mins to town. Turn left to strip of bars restaurants,good Indian, tapas and burgers short walk away. You can get onto the beach directly across the main road in front of the hotel. We paid about twenty US dollars a night which is a fair price. If they do put the rates up I would say get something closer to the south of long beach where there is more choice. Staff friendly and helpful, the family live on the ground floor and it's a very welcoming place.

Decent”
Our stay was decent. Nothing special about the hotel. If you can get it for under $25, it's kinda worth it for a short stay. We only stayed one night, our first in phu quoc ands looked for something better once we decided not to stay any longer at this hotel.

Good value for money”
Nice hotel! Good price for the island. Lot of space in room. We had balcony room. Good WiFi, very clean, safe in room, location between village and tourist places, close to long beach, nice bed, good shower. Everything was a little bit old and staff doens't speak English, but we're very nice, but if you run a hotel on an island like that you need to speak English!
