I used to live in Miami, i wanted something secure where to sleep on my 3 days vacation. I felt like home again, nice people, nice service, it worth the money. Special note but nothing to worries about: Elevator is very slow, but you are in Miami, come on, I was on the 5th floor , i did the stairs a couple of times!! Not big deal!

Amazing views for an amazing price”
We stayed in a king room with an ocean view and it was fantastic. Single night, great price and the staff we interacted with were lovely. It's not new and fancy, but it's down to earth with so much charm and the beach is only a hop skip and a jump away from the hotel. Stay here. You won't be disappointed.

close to entertainment away from the more busier south beach. restaurant & drinks on the premises or a short walk. my only critic was I had a ocean view room on the upper levels . I couldn't enjoy due to extremely dirty windows.

Pros and Cons”
Pros: *Proximity to beach! *quiet location *outdoor seating (especially with partner hotel's porch next door). *good restaurant attached with happy hour *easy access to local bodegas and restaurants and bars. *good mix of tourists and residents in the area. *fridge in room (can stock up food and drink) *Citibike dock nearby made cycling a breeze. CONS: *$18 per day resort fee due upon arrival is supposed to give wifi and beach chair access. Wifi was spotty at best (down for hours at time). *No coffee in building (markets on Collins ave have it) *Pool closed without sign or explanation *A/C in room (set to 60--fake temp!) barely kept it tolerable even though outdoor temps were in 60s and mid 70s. *Elevator should win "slowest in Miami" award. It was also not working for a few hours. I was fine walking up 5 flights to room, but others might have trouble. Overall, I would stay there again thanks to location and access to cheaper local amenities. If you want a quiet getaway for lower price in an old hotel and not looking for luxury accommodations, this is a fine place.

It’s an older hotel but it’s walking distance to the beach, restaurants and stores so I would stay again. But the hotel is older. For the price I paid it was worth it.

Staff was nice but over all the place was falsely advertised, besides the wonderful restaurant attached. Not very clean at all. Room services is only every 3 days. Room was straight out of the time it first opened. As well as the rest of the hotel. Lobby was nice but who's in the lobby that often. Beach access was nice and as I said the restaurant was good. The stay was tolerable but I personally would not stay here again.

There is no good reason for the failures.”
I need to state - I own rental properties. I've built rentals from the ground up and maintained them. I don't complain lightly. The staff were truly nice. General - No one answered emails or phone the first day. - Intenet was … unacceptable. - No lamps were hooked up, so light switches did nothing, came into a dark room. - Found old food already in the fridge. - Key-card failed x2, requiring me to go back to the front desk. - No phone in the room. - Surfaces were not wiped down properly + Sand on the floor. Bathroom - Shower - Anaemic and lukewarm - Paper roll holder hanging out of the wall - Toilet seat so loose that it slides around. Bed - Was pulled away from the wall. - MORE than just squeaky, it was abusive. - No sockets near the bed, the one socket is literally in the middle of the wall behind a bed that is too heavy to move. There should be a flat attach extension cord available on both sides. - After 3 days, asked for clean sheets and towels. They failed.

Great location 👌 by beach! Grocery store near by, along with places to eat within a few blocks. I've been staying here for the past 10 years, since it was days inn, which had a refrigerator which actually got things cold, not the one now. Used to also have a ice bucket with disposable cups, not now. Only ice machine down below lobby was told was not working. Some staff nice.
