This place COULD be great!”

I stayed for one week at Bushida and feel a bit sad that I have to give them a mixed feedback. The location is great if you have a car or at least a motorcycle. Very quiet, away from the road or noisy neighbours, with a big and beautifully garden. My room was nice and clean and only lacked a fridge, which I normally would have expected. The downsides during my stay were: - There was no internet as advertised. Giving me a mobile hotspot might have been a solution, but it was just too far away to get signal. And the charger did not work either, so it was dead within an hour. Even on my phone I could not get a signal, which basically put me out of reach of ANY internet source. - I was kind of expecting to be picked up at the airport and after making my own way to the place was told that they indeed had plans to do so, but just did not check my arrival time and assumed I was coming on a later flight. Bonus points for maybe thinking about it? - During my week nobody ever checked on the room, let alone cleaned it. No changing of sheets, towels, glasses or anything. Definitely not three star worthy, rather one star motel. - Breakfast was Filipino style - rice with sausage and egg. The tea was old and undrinkable. You might think what can go wrong with a simple yellow label?!. I resorted to 'juice and fruit only please' and got exactly that. One juice and one kind of fruit. So I bought my own cereals and milk and asked them to serve that as well. No real luck. Not one day they were able to produce the four ingredients to eat cereals: Spoon, bowl, milk and cereals. Altogether I left with a bad aftertaste and should have stayed somewhere else. Maybe somewhere with a pool, internet and a fridge to start with. A real pity, as the place has a lot of potential and if they actually cared, could be a great place to stay.

Beautiful location ”

The perfect antidote to Manila! We enjoyed our stay at Bushida immensely, especially the location that was set away from the main city. The rooms themselves are divided between separate buildings, giving the hotel the feeling of a small group of houses, built around a central garden. During out stay there were few other guests and we enjoyed a very personal service, along with a very quiet and peaceful environment. The staff were friendly and efficient, helping us book tours and to arrange transport in palawan, as well as recommending different places to eat and visit. We would happily stay here again on a return trip to Palawan.

Mixed Feelings”

the bushida b&b is situated a little way out of town. the rooms themselves are quite pleasant and roomy and look out onto a large and pretty garden. the staff are very pleasant and helpful and there is a convenient airport pick up service that was included in the room price. there are, however, a number of downsides to the place: i) no hot water in the sink in the bathroom. ii) rather tepid hot water in the shower. iii) no catering facilities on-site which means you have to go into town to eat. iv) getting from town to the bushida is easy enough - there are plenty of tricycles. however getting into town is a different matter as the tricycles are usually full and, as a result, i had to make the 20 minute walk to the main road on several occasions.

Beautiful gardens and relaxing scenery. I highly recommend for couples! Nice rooms with large bathroom.

Quiet surroundings”

enjoyed our stay at bushida but for the price was expecting better linens- the beddings are rough and itchy polyester and the towels are the kind that leave a trail of snow after you've toweled dry. the grounds are beautifully landscaped and staff are very nice. it's also a bit misleading to put the trails and beaches in the pictures as the place itself is really only the size of someone's home + garden that has additional buildings for guests. breakfast, while small in portion size, was excellent in quality, much better than other places we had stayed. unfortunately, the quiet surroundings also means you're a bit of a ways from the town buzz and if you need anything, will need to pay a little extra to tricycles plying the route as they insist (rightly) that after dropping you off back at the inn, there are no customers to pick up.

Small paradise in Puerto Princesa city”

we had three different accomodations on palawan (pp, el nido, sabang), all of them was different, but super! bushida is a bit out of the centre road (3-4 minutes by tricycle with a 1 usd fee...), that's why it is a very quiet, peaceful location. the word beautiful is not give back the fanastic feeling you have there.it is a unique accomodation in pp, if you will be there, you will understand it.only five rooms, we were the only guests, but the staff was so nice and helpful (like all people we met on this island).perfect option to discover the area, except you want a beach at the front of the hotel.but bushida is a must try!

Very nice hotel & location was so peaceful..”

We stayed in the hotel for 4 days & 3 nights,it has clean rooms/bathrooms, breakfast was good, place was so serene it has a nice landscape outside its just as if you feel at home and rested after our city tour and underground river tour, its just 15 mins tricycle ride to the town proper and the hotel provides airport transfer..we had a great vacation in Puerto Princesa!

Lovely grounds, friendly staff, but far from beach”

Bushida is a lovely B & B in a nice quiet location in Puerto Princessa. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and breakfast is served outside in an airy "tea house". The owners were not present, though their daughter did come in for a few days, and was very helpful. The B & B has only been open for about 5 months, and the front desk manager was new, and not as knowledgeable as one could hope for, and sometimes offered inaccurate or a lack of information. The only serious concern we had was the lack of amenities. There is no pool, and the private beach Bushida advertises, though very beautiful and well worth a visit, is 69k, and a 1 1/2 hour drive away from the hotel, necessitating a private driver at extra expense . We (and several other guests visiting at the same time) were expecting to be able to walk on the beach daily, and this was not the case. Also, if you want to be in the center of the town's nightlife, another location would suit better. If you want a beautiful, quiet location, safe with friendly staff, and are not concerned about easy beach or high speed internet access, this is a great place to stay.

Great base for exploring mid-Palawan”

We rented a family suite for 4 nights between Christmas and New Year holidays - very spacious, each of my teenagers had their own bed. Accommodations are new and spotless, the grounds are maintained meticulously and while off the beach and away from town, Bushida offers a quiet and safe rest from daily ventures (trike taxis are easy to pick up from the road or you can rent the Bushida's van with driver if its not busy on other details). Staff only enters rooms upon request; otherwise you are on your own to tidy up daily. Breakfast selections were great and served right on our patio. Staff is very friendly and works hard to meet all your requests. No pool, but with plenty of water venues nearby we didn't miss it (the Bushida offers trips to their private beach, which is a 65 km drive from the B&B but we did not have time to do this).

We found a hidden treasure in Puerto Princesa.”

We are seasoned travellers, and the first thing we check when we enter a hotel room is the color of the towels.and the clealiness of the bathroom. I would would not even classify this place as a bed and breakfast, it is more like a southern platation style estate. except the garden is more japanese style.Guys even the grass is cut by hand, wowo. breakfast is good for us. There are only five units, 24 hours security. The staff are outstanding and even sent one of the guys with us to money exchange.We stayed 3 nts and came back for another after our visit to El Nido.Aside from the absence of restaurant and pool, it is well worth the money spent. Great environment and very private”

We had 2 rooms at Bushida, initially for 2 nights but extended another 3 as we found the environment delightful and very private and safe. It was nice to be able to sit out on the verandah area and drink wine late into the evening. Staff were very attentive and friendly and town amenities were just a short ride away.

Home away from home”

Everyday was perfectly organized including suggestions for tours, restaurants and shops. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Excellent facilities and gardens are park like in a secured environment. All in all the best accomodation in the Philippines (I should know, I have been travelling around the Philippines for years).

4月に1泊たのですが、入浴途中で断水してしまいました。乾季になるとこの辺りではよくあることのようです。 ホテル近辺には何もありません。 スタッフは丁寧で、掃除も行き届いてました。また、バンで空港まで送って頂けたのでとても助かりました。

本当に静かです。”

中心地から離れているので、周りになにもありません。タクシーもないので、通りでバイタクを止めてそれに乗って移動しますが、人が乗っているとなかなか止まりません。プールもないので日中は、ツアーでもいかないと暇を持て余します。

トライシクルなどに聞いてもストリート名を伝えればすぐに着きました。全体にまだ新しいホテルです。お金持ちの自宅の庭にホテルを建てたようです。

직원들은 맘에 들지만 위치가 맘에 들지 않았던 호텔”

팔라완에서 최대한 바닷가에 가까운 곳에 숙소를 정하려고 알아보던 중, 전용비치가 있다는 항목이 있어서 선택했는데, 거짓이었음. 바닷가까지는 6km 이상 가야된다는 말에 완전 실망. 호텔에 인터넷 된다고 되어 있는데, 실제로 전용 인터넷은 없고 요청하면 알을 주는데 이것은 2G 밖에 지원이 안되서, 거의 인터넷이 안되는 것과 마찬가지의 속도임. 아침식사는 그런대로 괜찮고 직원들은 상당히 친절함. 또한 호텔에 포켓볼이 있어 즐기에는 나름 괜찮음. 정원 및 호텔 내부는 나름 괜찮으나, 식당 냉장고가 없어 불편하였고, 워낙 시내에서 동떨어져 있어, 식사를 할려면 트라이를 이용해야 되서 상당히 불편함. 팔라완에서 리조트를 제외하고는 바다와 가까운 호텔이 없음. 어차피 바다는 혼다베이 등을 이용하면 되므로, 결국 트라이나 차를 이용해야 됨. 차라리 시내에 위치한 시설좋은 호텔을 추천함. 단 이곳에서는 여행사와 연계해서 여행 일정을 잡아 주므로, 처음 여행하는 사람에게는 나름대로 괜찮기도 함.
