After a week of travelling as backpackers with my sister and staying at very "affordable" and practical hotels, we decided to rewards ourselves with one last stay at a pricier hotel. Scrolled upon this 4 star with a very reasonable price and decided to book it immediately. Upon arriving I already had a great feeling of this hotel. Scrolled upon this 4 star with a very reasonable price and decided to book it immediately. Upon arriving I already had a great feeling of this hotel. Our taxi wasn't even parked in front yet the bell boys were already there outside ready to help us. Lobby itself already gave me great confidence. True enough everything was perfect. Location is alright. Just pretty far from tourist spots but it is still very accessible and there are still a lot of places to eat outside. Also there is a grocery right by it. Was finally able to relax in this very clean hotel. Definitely worth coming back to as it is a very good class of a hotel priced very reasonably.

The hotel was nice, the staff don't speak English very well and didn't understand much of what we were saying. I had booked a Deluxe double room (that comes with a view), but they put us in a superior double without a view and a much smaller room. To their credit, they acknowledged the error and gave us complimentary massages and access to the sauna & spa treatments. ...The hotel was nice, the staff don't speak English very well and didn't understand much of what we were saying. Well worth it in the end, but please hire English speaking staff.

this was my second time at Happy Hotel. what brought me back was the ever smiling and friendly staff. hotel came at a cheap price which compared to others, Happy Hotel was fairly good for a 2 Star hotel. the designs of the hotel was better then I expected. clean beds/blankets. the location was rather ideal as there are many road side stalls that operate till late n...this was my second time at Happy Hotel. what brought me back was the ever smiling and friendly staff. hotel came at a cheap price which compared to others, Happy Hotel was fairly good for a 2 Star hotel. the designs of the hotel was better then I expected. clean beds/blankets. the location was rather ideal as there are many road side stalls that operate till late night. and finding food during late nights were never hard. it's just 5 mins drive to the supermarket, and 10 mins to the nearest theatre. after all, it was an awesome hotel. I will def go back there on my next trip.

The best features were: the fancy shower nozzles (though not all were still connected correctly), the neat lighting and TV panel next to the bed, the very clean and elegant interior, the pleasant cafe across the street, and the location, which was down a quieter street but still very close to the Saigon Railway Station. There are bars and restaurants in the area and a supermarket and cinema around the corner. One problem: hall noise can easily be heard in the room. Also, district 1 with its tourist destinations is a taxi ride away, of course (this neighborhood is essentially all locals).

This hotel in repairing, I went there with 2 little kids and asked for somebody help us to bring our luggages to the room. But they weren’t friendly and the guy didn’t want to do . He put our luggages into the elevator and left. We had to take over everything eventhough my kids was crying. The room has no telephone, you can’t contact to receptionist, the balcony is unsafe , it’s easy to fall off , the back door doesn’t have a inside lock so your kids can open the door anytime to the balcony. We tried to reach the front desk many times but couldn’t. Finally I asked to changed to another room after 1 night couldn’t sleep ( because my 2 kids are so active and they didn’t sleep ) . Another room was old and not clean , have no fridge, tv can’t use ... the best thing there was it’s safe . My kids couldn’t run out. Many mosquito at night time, WiFi couldn’t connected . Terrible hotel .

This is one of the best stays we have ever had, & the best value for money. This is pure quality, & it’s all down to the tireless work of Phu & her staff. We stayed in the 1 bed studio. It was a good size, with a separate kitchen (equipped with plates, cutlery etc) & bathroom. The hotel was quiet & peaceful, but very welcoming. The bed was comfortable & there was a good amount of storage space. The Minh Chau supplies exactly what you need, cheaply, simply & effectively. An example – the wardrobe had a well fitted hasp, with which we used our own lock. Instantly we had a lot of secured storage – no worrying about ‘who might know the code’ or ‘how do I fit the laptop in’. It was simple & effective. The whole hotel is run to the same philosophy. Don’t be put off by the Q10 location. It is a real selling point that you are staying in the real HCM. You go out the door, & there is real, very friendly, life. Phu is happy to point out good local traders & cafes. She would also make sure we could get everywhere else - ordering reliable taxis, etc. She made sure we had a map of the city centre to get around & address cards to help us get back. You will notice that Phu is mentioned a LOT. She is simply a brilliant hotelier. She stayed up to meet our late arrival, & was there to wish us a safe journey at the end. She genuinely cares about her guests, & the staff follow her lead. If we ducked out late after a day in, someone would quickly tidy the room & supply clean towels etc. Every staff member would greet us cheerfully. Phu is also a fantastic cook. The restaurant, in the roof garden, is peaceful & romantic. Just the place to unwind with a fresh juice, & enjoy a good meal. We enjoyed every dish we tried. There is a mixture of European & Vietnamese dishes to enjoy, all prepared by hand. The smell from the kitchen is simply divine. The Minh Chau, & its wonderful team, really are a shining pearl of Ho Chi Min City, and we will stay there anytime. In a heartbeat!

The hotel is quite fine for business travellers who required a good rest at night after work. There are no fancy facilities like swimming pool or gym. One thing that is peculiar to this hotel is you need to keep the hotel door open if you need the housekeepers to house keep your room. Which, to me, is not safe and defeat the purpose of a "Do not disturb" sign. If yo...The hotel is quite fine for business travellers who required a good rest at night after work. Was then switched to a lower floor which I was later informed is a room sometimes booked for "short time" stays (District 10 neighborhood full of "short time love" hotels LoL) The staff spoke little English but didn't seem to really understand my concerns. To staff's credit they tried to remedy by putting an air filter in the new room. I've stayed in many hotels in the Southeast Asia region in other countries. However at this hotel, I will not stay again.
