Perfect”

I find this resort perfect. It exceeded my expectations. Sunset view from the pool is stunning. Even the depth of the pool is perfect (for me). Food in their restaurant is fantastic. For a family-run resort, I find it professionally managed with a touch of personal interaction. Rose, one of the owners, is accommodating. Her cooking's flavorful. Love it. She steps up and personally handles the kitchen in the absence of other staffers. As it's a small and simple resort (but lovely, with great facilities), they may seem undermanned at times but the owners will readily step up and be of service to guests. As a matter of fact, I find the compactness of the resort (8-10 rooms) part of its charm. It lends an atmosphere of close privacy that's almost creates a feeling of exclusivity. It's relatively secluded from the rest of the town center. Walking distance through the residential area but you can avail of the resort shuttle (tricycle) service. Don't forget to contact them so you can be picked up from the outskirt of the central town proper so you won't need to walk. But you can of course opt to walk all the way and appreciate the neighborhood if you don't mind the dirt road. Price is on the high side, but fortunately, I didn't feel shortchanged. It's worth it. The room's HUGE, tidy, well-kept and new. Next time I'm here, I'll try and request getting a room by the pool directly facing the sunset. Yes, will definitely stay again here next time I visit El Nido. If budget is not much of a concern, it will be great to check in here for your entire El Nido stay. However, if you plan to have at least one entire day of relaxation in your room/resort, in between your adventures in El Nido, you might as well spend it by checking in for a day/night here. There's a good pool and the beach is also right in front of the resort. Lastly, the resort's own generator will ensure that you have power/AC/TV round the clock that you won't even realize that there's a routine/scheduled bla

Great location, pool and staff”

Had a great time at the Reef Strand and in El Nido. All of the rooms in the resort have a great view as far as I could tell. Location is good. Away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but only a 15min walk away (just watch the stray dogs late at night, they can get aggressive). Also, very convenient with the free shuttle to the town. Rooms were clean, spacious and there was always hot water, electricity and wifi. And last but not least, the staff was amazing. Especially Ladylyn. She was key in making our trip a success. She was incredibly helpful in arranging whatever tours, shuttles or activities we requested as well as providing general information. And all around very sweet and friendly. Would highly recommend this resort, in large part, because of her.

A best place to enjoy el nido ”

If you wanted a quiet place to relax and enjoy the view of el nido. it’s a must to stay at el nido reef strand, very serene place. enjoy the view while your in there swimming pool, you can even walk going to the sea and enjoy the beautiful starfish and different kind of shells around it, even we only stay for a night, we make sure to enjoy the place, we didn’t even bothered to go outside the resort while we are staying there, little bit far from the city gives you peace of mind and enjoy the moments with your love ones, wonderful staff too, hskp.. f&b and the politeness of the Driver who really I admire the most, to move heaven and earth finding the bird nest soup the we are looking for, and who I will definitely remember every time I will tell my friends in regards of El nido, definitely will recommend to all of our friends and will surely come back to stay in the resort

Great stay at the Reef Strand ”

Staying at the Reef Strand is the most comfortable option in El Nido. The rooms are immaculate, all finishings and furnishings were of a high standard (which is hard to find in El Nido). Only a few room and each room is very private. I stayed during New Years and as an example of the owners hospitality they invited all the guest to a lavish New Years dinner complete with lechon and dessert and alcohol, for free. Yes, they are just the most generous and genuine people. The location is a ten minute walk from the main beach. Highly recommended.

Homey atmosphere, welcoming staff”

We are a couple from the States who stayed with Reef Strand for 3 nights on a vacation to El Nido. Highlights from our stay include a homey atmosphere -- the owner was on the premises the majority of the time and was approachable and friendly. The staff was also cordial and welcoming. Breakfast was included and served at the hotel's restobar which was convenient and delicious. The restobar offered great views of the Bay and several islands - quite picturesque at sunset! The hotel is somewhat removed from the main town which offered quietude. The hotel provides free transportation to and from the town - a great feature. The owner was quite accommodating of our requests. All in all an enjoyable stay, would recommend.

Nicest spot. Quiet but close to the action! ”

I just loved the view of the setting sun every evening. The staff were so great and location was just far enough away from downtown that you don't have the noise and traffic but close enough that it's a beautiful walk or you can use the provided shuttle service (free). The included breakfast was amazing and made to order so it's always fresh! Pool construction is completed and by the time you read this it is fully operational. It is a beautiful infinity pool. Room was spacious and shower was huge with good water pressure. Free Wi-Fi was fast for El Nido standards! And available throughout the property. The owners, sir Uli and mam Rose were always available to help with anything! I felt like I was family. You will be happy with this hotel of you want peace and quiet but fast and easy access to downtown. There is a reef directly in front of the hotel and at low tide you can walk on it and watch the magic of the sea life right before your eyes without getting wet!

Lovely friendly staff and nice hotel”

So, one think to know about El Nido, is that north of El Nido town, the infrastructure is not quite developed yet. This means that roads ends literally on the beach in central El Nido town and from there on tricycles drive on the beach (and then on a really bumpy road) to all hotels north of the town. Its is walking distance, so it didn't bother us too much, but south of El Nido town resorts are much easier to navigate to. However, the hotel was lovely, pool was great with perfect sunset views. The staff at the hotel was very helpful and friendly, especially Lady-Lin , who was extremely helpful and so friendly, she made the stay all the more enjoyable.

The best staff!!!”

This was our first stay in el nido . A family of 4 ( 1 x teenager , 1 x 2 years old baby). We stayed for 2 nights only ( hotel fully booked after). If you are looking for the best manager of Palawan, then this hotel is for you !!! Can’t thank Miss Lyne enough for all she has done to us: booking tours, organizing private tour, booking private van, organizing live music for us , and spend time with our little baby girl . Miss Lyne went way above our expectations . She made our stay amazing and memorable . Thank you so much for everything you have done Miss Lyne. We will be back !! For the cons: the food is good, however the waiting time is far too long. 30 min for a plate of French fries, 1 hour for a pancit... the food is made at the order, which brings freshness, however maybe the menu needs to be adjusted and smaller so the waiting time would be reduced . Overall: amazing stay ! We will definitely be back! Well done

Really nice stay and nice staff”

We really enjoyed the stay at reef strand. Staff is really nice and helpful with even the smallest requests. When the construction work is finished, this will be one of the best places to stay in El Nido. Thank you for a memorable stay - We are definately coming back!

Beautiful view and great accommodation!”

This beautiful hotel is a 10 minutes walk from the very busy and hectic main beach of El Nido. You can always get a tricycle from the hotel bringing you to the main area, however the distance was perfect to walk. Since the location is just outside the centre, you don´t have all the noise and you will have the best view of the island (the sea isn´t full of boats, which you will have at El Nido beach)! Additionally they just finished the swimming pool where you can enjoy this great view and the sunset!! Rooms have very good aircon, hot water, and are very new. We were enjoying our fresh breakfast at our balcony everyday. Lastly the staff was amazing, flexible and friendly! Name it and they will arrange it for you, always with an honest smile. We would definitely come back here and thanks everyone for the amazing stay!

Love this hotel”

I was skeptical about our stay due to some reviews I read online, but our stay at this hotel was wonderful! We had a beautiful room with a gorgeous view - honestly probably the best spot in all El Nido. Staff was super friendly and helpful. It’s a little further away from the town, but it wasn’t a problem at all. It was a short walk along the beach to get to town or the hotel has a trike driver that you can call to pick you up wherever your at. Our stay at this hotel far exceeded all my expectations.

Great staff and view”

I enjoyed my stay in Reef Strand. The owners, Rose and Oli, were very accommodating. The room was large and the staff was great. It has a wonderful view of the water and Palawan cliffs as it has a pretty corner nook that I used as my breakfast area and a roof top area where my friends and I had our sunset drinks. They are in the process of building a pool and jacuzzi too which should be done in a month.

El Nido for four days”

I was on a trip with my girlfriend to get away from the busy city life and enjoy the peaceful beaches of El Nido. We stayed in a standard room with a private bathroom overlooking a private beach on the second floor. You will have a breathtaking view of the beach every morning and evening. The resort was located away from the main road of the island so public tricycles will not be able to bring you to the door step. The resort provides transportation services to and fro the main road using their private tricycle and driver. They were very timely in picking up and dropping off guest. The main attraction of the island would be joining the different tours to the neighboring islands. This can be arranged by the resort for the day before 08 30am. The resort only accepts cash for the tours. There are times where the electrical power is cut off but they have a back up generator. The staff and the owner are very accommodating to your every needs. Overall, I had a chilled and relaxing time in El Nido.

Rose and her husband are amazing hosts-so hospitable. The home cooked meals by Rose were delicious. The property lacked for nothing. The beds and pillows are really comfortable! We much preferred the location of the Reef Strand because it felt like a very private resort with amazing view from private decks and balconies but close to everything including Island Hopping. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again

family holiday ”

The resort has a million dollar view of the magical El Nido. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. I encounter problem regarding an expected guest from the city and they had accepted with a minimal fee. The chef cooks good food and Staff Lyn is always there if we encounter problem. I wish they would build more rooms to accommodate more guest.

Nice resort and staff , But Security concerns ”

Just in front of Beach , provided best view for sunset and sunrise from ur room. Small but Nice swimming pool. But little bit far from El Nido town , it is not walking distance ( maybe 20 mins ) . The road is so narrow , only small tricylce or motorbike could access to there. So you must organize pick-up time with drivers who resort hired . Almost tricyle in el-nido town can't go . so it culd be really inconvenience when you hang out overnight in el nido town. Thanks for the staff. For my 1 yrs old baby , i had requested babysitter before I checked in. They didn't hesitate to look for me with cheap price . Lastly , another family accompanied with us had security concerns. They had recognized somebody broken into their room and gone thru luggage.

Picturesque views and great staff”

We stayed here for four nights and our stay was made extra special by the lady at the front of house. She was always friendly and willing to help us. The location of the hotel is a short walk (approx 10-12 mins) along the beach from town but they do offer a free shuttle up until 10pm. We had an amazing view from our balcony. Breakfast is average but you can go to town for that. Pool is great. Movie channels in room to wind down after a big day exploring. All in all I would recommend Reef Strand.

Really it was veery nice place also the staff they were very friendly and they have a good view and they have amazing restaurants really if I want to go to El Nido I will really visit this place again Thank you from them ❤️

Quiet and convenient”

I enjoyed my stay at the Reef Strand. I purposely stayed in Calaan for a quieter experience in El Nido. It was a good choice, very quiet and peaceful and only a 20min walk into town.

great location”

hotel is located on the quiet end of el nido beach away from the crowds and busy streets of downtown el nido. The location is great for those who want to have a laid back holiday. The views from the rooms are stunning, the rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are generally helpful. The only negatives are that the hotel seems to rent out the pool and restaurants for birthdays making for a few noisy days with children running all over the place, the restaurant staff use the music system to play music for their own entertainment at loud volumes at all times of the day and night and sometimes disappear from the restaurant leaving you to search for them in order to get a drink. Overall I would say the positives outweigh the negatives.
