The vibe here is unique and peaceful. Van chai provides an indoor and outdoor pool with the vast ocean as its neighbour. The architecture is unique to the many hotels we’ve stayed in. With brick and wood as the main elements. The place has a semi ancient/resort feel to it. The energy is quite and peaceful and the area is full of trees to remind you of nature. The staff are very helpful and friendly and speak good english. Breakfast is provided which only makes things better. Lastly, with everything that comes with this resort it is very worth the price.

Amazing stay! But do not go in the off season”

The resort is really nice! Special thanks to Ms. Ha (Guest Relations) the only employee who could speak very well and was easy to interact with and helped us with our queries and cabs throughout our stay!

A good and acceptable hotel”

This is a good resort in Sam Son. The price is good and position is good. We are also happy with breakfast.

Beautiful decoration, nice rooms, a very helpful staff -- nothing to complain about except maybe that the location is a bit outside the "center" (if we can call it this way), which requires some kind of transportation to go back and forth. However, this is counterbalanced by the fact that the food at the hotel is very good.

Beautiful landscape located right at the beach but the beach is under construction so we had to take electric car to another beach nearby or swim in the swimming pools. Met a nice electric car driver who took us go forward and backwards for 3 days and suggested a nearby , good , very fresh and reasonable restaurant named Thai Linh ( 19 Hai Bà Trung str. ) Nice stay that changed our not good impression about Sam Son beach 10 years ago.

I really love the place. It is very peaceful. The open space are so lovely and is designed in a traditional Vietnamese style. The kids love the place. Price is reasonable. Staff are very nice and helpful.

A small slice of heaven, with a reasonable price”

I stayed for a mini vacation (one night) in mid September. The resort was all but deserted since it was not busy season, so my friend and I were able to enjoy peace and quiet for the entire weekend. The staff was very friendly, the room comfy, and the services top notch. I do wish the bar stayed open later and the food was a little on the expensive side, but to have everything within a stones throw of the beautiful coastal view was worth it. I highly recommend staying here as a slight splurge in self indulgence.

when we arrival, we found that we are the only guest there, although the place are nice, but not like agoda stated: only last room left??? agoda is dishonest... we feel very boring there, also the food at hotel restaurant was very expensive. but the hotel staffs are good service and nice.

Good, but a little tired”

Has charm, but showing its age. Room spacious and comfortable, balcony pleasant but back from the water. No beach in front of the resort, beach doesn’t compare to those in the south. Open pool area is good. Breakfast satisfactory, outdoor restaurant by the water is very pleasant. Staff friendly. Didn’t like wet bathroom floor, shower screen would be good. Molded seashells on tiled floor annoying when you tread on them, bed too firm. Gardens needed attention when first arrived. Close to restaurants. Overall, OK would stay again.

Wi fi terrible , I know I am on holidays but if I need to keep in contact with family. Forget it. Bed not at all comfortable , linen to small for beds , wake up in night wrapped in bed linen. Lightly confusing and very dim, if you read for get it. Staff very nice but hound you for spas, massage, transport etc. I am sorry to say this was my second visit to this resort. Disappointed

May be better with a big group and good weather”

Unfortunately the weather was not good, so we had to make do with what we could at the resort. Everything was old and dated, the TV had no news channels, blurry, and it seemed the tube was about to blow. There were very few guests, so they opted not to serve us in the dining room. We had to put our coats on and go to the outdoor eating area. No souvenir shop and just a few, mostly outdated magazines. The resort is very isolated, you cannot walk anywhere. We had a massage, walked on the old treadmill, sat by the pool. I would not bother to go again.(We saw them setting the dining room up for a large group as we left.)As usual in Vietnam, the people working there were conscientious and friendly. I was very glad I took a good book.

Very nice resort ”

This resort is very much of the rustic Vietnamese style, rather than luxury, type of facility and is all the more attractive for it. The beach location is great. The owner has made some effort to include antiques/handicrafts to contribute to the resort atmosphere. There is also an open fire in the reception in the evening (during winter). Rooms are nice. Staff are delightful and very helpful. There was a French PR employee when I was there and she was invaluable as a contact for any requests. However, there was a problem in paying for the food/drink with a Visa card. Whilst there seems to be a card machine at reception it either does not work or no one knows how to use it. This should be noted for payment at checkout.
