CLEAN, CONVENIENT, COMFORTABLE ROOM”

I am a Business traveler and I was in and out of the room in less then 12hrs. However, the hotel room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel is a well establish hotel and has a big lobby. The staff speaks good English. It is definitely value for money.

Good standard”

Good location. Just 30 minutes by car from air port to hotel. Very fast check in upon arrival. The reception are very nice and welcome, speak very goos English. Tourist maps and guides are available in the lobby and the staff are very welcome to give service. Good room service, clean room and modern. Good internet connection. The room service is very fast and the food are very good. Thai food is the best! The lobby is very relax and can welcome visitors for short business meeting. Have to take taxi to shopping mall, but it takes a short distance only. Next time for my business or private trip, I will use this hotel again.

Awesome, wonderful stay at 5 star rating room, utmost care in hygiene, highly secured, reliable staff. Very friendly and service at door step 24/7 with any request. Lifetime memorable moments arranged on my 2nd anniversary keeping the customer emotions reachable to the dear ones at any distance. Manager has provided his help and service thoroughly in the entire stay with full dedication and utmost care. Wonderful arrangements done for my sightseeing and provided one dedicated staff member to accompany me in my entire trip thereby giving me comfort in the new foreign area. Thumps Up for this hotel and their management.

Alert, friendly and flexible staff”

We booked five deluxe rooms for a good weeks stay. At every time we felt welcome and assisted by friendly and alert English speaking staff. Pick-up/drop-off at the airport, many bags, tired, new to the country - they took care of us! Whenever we had a special wish they made a suitable arrangement. They informed us of the "normal price level" on goods and services outside the hotel. One from the staff assisted and guided us on a day trip to Hanoi. The hotel is located on the outer skirts of Haiphong, good if you want calm or easy access to the beach. 20 min taxi ride to downtown HP, 2-3 EUR. Very nice breakfast buffé, other restaurants in good hotel standard. Staff somewhat confused when handling our table with 12 orders and wine, but mistakes were compensated by free dessert, wine, etc. Restaurant prices between 5-10 EUR for a full meal in nice atmosphere, international cuisine. Staff helped baby sit when needed. However, no child seats in restaurant. Most important impression: Always positive, friendly and helpful attitude from staff! And the hotel was clean and in good standard.

The only real 4 star accomodation in Hai Phong”

I stayed only for one night, but enough time to give a good review for this hotel. Nice staff, clean room, average food but smiley waitresses. From the hotel to the downtown area you will need to count around 5-7 usd.

Expensive Hotel”

Very expensive hotel and nothing special. I stayed in 3 hotels in Vietnam during my trip and this was 3 times more expensive than elsewhere. I stayed because of business but could not find any justification for paying the extra cost to stay at this hotel. Lots of other hotels nearby that cater just as well.

Good Service Hotel”

Very helpful front desk staff with good check-in service. The resturant has various choice of dishes and delicious too. However, the room is very wear and tear, which much be renovated to meet the 4 star hotel standard.

Best Western Pearl River Hotel, Hai Phong .Vietnam”

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Pearl River; the staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was excellent in that it had plenty of area to move around and get your suit cases situated. The swimming pool will not be operational until next month; however I was given a coupon to use the pool under construction. A little deception the hotel is listed as a Four Star Hotel, but needs certain amenities such as a Jacuzzi Bath Tub, I had this at another hotel and the tub is what made all the difference in the stay. The current bath tub is somewhat difficult for us older folks to climb into with knee problems. I would stay at this hotel again due to the great price that I received from Agoda. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable eggs cooked to the customer’s specifications.

This is one of the hotels that I'm probably going to always stay while in Haiphong. All the staff were very friendly and helpful even tried to help me find my transportation to Hanoi to catch my flight there. Cleanliness all over the place was impeccable. While Haiphong is about 1+ hours away from Halong bay, tour to it where very much available at a reasonable rate that will be similar to what you're going to pay for a room in Halong Bay. I prefer quietness of Haiphong over the "touristy" area of Halong city.

Very disappointed with the facilities - appallingly slow wifi (the worst we experienced in Vietnam), no ability to have a drink (Piano Bar was a piano and no bar) and nothing else. Charging a guest £4 for the accidental breakage of a simple glass tumbler that probably cost 50p seemed rather ridiculous.

Already a good one among the list of hotels nearby”

It was a trip visiting my brother working nearby this hotel. We chose this hotel simply because it is the closest one to my brother. Since there isn't many choice there, this is already the best one i believe. We arrived very late at night, luckily there are staff at front desk preparing the rooms for us quickly. The room is large but old; and the bathroom tub is too high for me to "climb" in (I am only 153cm...), I was slipped when but luckily no hurt... Breakfast is fair, not good not bad. Would be better if there is something to prevent flies... Moreover, the air-con of the lobby is turned off after 10pm (approx.), appreciated environmental friendly arrangement.

Nice place, a bit remote from the town”

nice hotel, with good variety of food and wine offer and friendly staff. however, very quiet and too far away from the centre of hai phong (5km). shower would not drain, leading to a true swimming pool in bathroom. internet connection was not stable, which is quite unfortunate for regular travellers. at the same time, the welness facilities were excellent. summarizing; demanding business travelers: not advised to stay here. travellers with more time: ok place.

Exceeded expectations”

i went for a relaxing weekend to laze about, order room service and do some shopping and was not disappointed. the room was great although the shower over the bath was awkward to use. room service food all fine, would say average but staff were very helpful and prompt. had a foot massage which was okay. room had some noise coming through walls but not to disturbing. overall i was very pleased and would return. maybe not so great for tourists as a good taxi drive back to city centre.

Pearl River Hotel”

A very pleasant hotel, in very good order. The restaurant offered a good selection of western and Vietnamese choices and the staff were friendly and helpful. Although only a few kilometres from the city centre the Hotel is nonetheless on the city outskirts and whilst this ensures quiet evenings it also requires a taxi trip to and fro the city when exploring Haiphong. Overall the Pearl River is a nice hotel in a pleasant city and worthy of consideration if visiting Haiphong.

Mai Hotel & Hotel Metropole HCMC Vietnam”

I stayed at the Mai Hotel and Hotel Metropole; these hotels are not really up to par... I would not stay at either hotel again... I am sure the perfect hotel is out there... The hotel ratings are not accurate and the pictures do not correctly depict what your room will look like... Deception runs high when promoting a room in a hotel. I suggest spending the time to read the reviews and disregard the actual pictures of the hotel and rooms. The perfect hotel with large rooms can be found in Las Vegas... or a major chain hotel such as the Caravelle, Sofitel, or Sheraton, however the prices are horrendous...
