Perfect to see Lyon”
Excellent location and the room was quiet, good curtains to make it dark at night and the bed was very comfortable. Spacious clean room with good ensuite. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Exceptional stay ”
We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff on reception were extremely friendly and helpful, as were the cleaning staff and room service. Our room was spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable. Also, the location couldn't be better, just a couple of minutes from the art gallery and surrounded by cafes and restaurants. I would stay here again whenever in Lyon.

Charmingly decorated, well located Lyon hotel”
An easy walk or electric scooter ride (if you haven't tried these, you're missing out!) to other parts of Lyon, especially Old Lyon. Grand Hotel des Terreaux is definitely one for those who prefer old world charm over generic modern hotel rooms - my wife loved it. The views are just of nearby buildings rather than any city panorama - but when you're in charming old town, there ain't nothing wrong with that. The young staff are lovely and helpful. There is an interesting indoor pool (and not many hotels have pools) that's been built in an old cellar through the breakfast area - though it's only very, very slightly heated - the adjoining jacuzzi is the same temperature as the pool - so more of a summer option than for spring when we visited.

Elegant hotel perfectly positioned in beautiful LYON ”
Loved this hotel, but sadly was not able to experience it fully as my stay was very short. Looking forward to returning soon.

Perfect for an evening at the Hot Club de Lyon which is just a few metres away. One disappointment was that the pool was not available due to maintenance which was an important factor when we had chosen this hotel. Agoda should have informed us of this when they advertised the room.

Good condition and good location. The only thing is that there are staircases everywhere after you get off the elevator so it is very inconvenient for those with suitcases.

التواليت صغير جدا جدا بالكاد تاخذ دوش او تقضى حاجتك فية حتى ولو انت معتدل الجسم فما بالك بالسمين هنا لامجال في ذلك.............. الغرفة ايضا صغيرة جدا والمساحات حول السرير ضيقة المساحة

poor service and spa”
I have been travelling throughout Europe for almost 2 months. Last night was my last night. My partner booked Grand Hotel des Terreaux in Lyon as I was looking for somewhere I could relax. In particular, enjoying a hot spa to prepare myself for the 30 hours of traveling ahead of me to get home. I have an injured neck and back and this is the reason why we booked here. The spa was not warm at all. In fact, it was icy COLD. I was unable to even get in. So I spent my last night in a very small room and a tiny shower getting heat onto my back to ease my pain. I spoke to reception staff immediately & we tried to find alternative accomodation so I could relax & enjoy my last night in Europe. But unfortunately there was no other accommodation available with a spa bath or bath to help relieve my back pain. I also voiced my concern this morning and was told I needed to go through the website which the booking was made to request a refund. Getting charged for an espresso for my horrible experience during this time was an insult to top it off. I will be expecting a refund as the ‘spa’ was the only reason this accomodation was booked. Thank you in advance.

Dear. We regret that you stay in our hotel did not response to your expectation. Our hotel does not have the SPA label and mention. We propose to our clients relaxing pool warmed at 29 degres. Concerning the room, we proposed you to change the room for bigger room with bath but with an extra charge because the category was up than the one you booked but you refused it. We regret the misunderstanding between what you expected as a Spa, and our relaxing pool. Best regards Grand Hotel des Terreaux

Juste finished a 2 night stay at the Grand Hotel des Terreaux. A very nice clean hotel in a great location. Very close to some great restaurants and close to the old town. Breakfast was good and the swimming pool was a nice benefit on a hot day. I would stay here again.

Great location, close to most of the city attractions. Few nice restaurants around for dinner and launch. Breakfast is average. Takes me 7 minutes to get to the metro, not bad. No swimming pool, it is inside the restaurant, so not really great experience relaxing there.
