Wonderful stay ”

The stay is wonderful at Avani. Staff are friendly, room is spacious and clean and food is great! Only downside is airconditioner is not cold enough on super hot days but I was not bugged much. It's a great hotel!

Confortable and good service”

Hotel is centrally located. It was spacious courtyard and a rather good dining hall. Service standard is good and staffs are attentive. Breakfast selection is acceptable and decent quality. Overall a very acceptable hotel.

Boutique Hotel”

It is like a 1930s hotel, old but not out of date. The hardwood floors, mahogany doors, colonial designs, tiles, etc make it a very unique hotel. The breakfast was beautifully laid out and had a decent selection. The staff were friendly however the rooms were all facing the courtyard, so it was not suitable to have the curtains opened.

Thank you to the reception staff at Avani we arrived late and could not have asked for better customer service. We had some issues with not having enough cash on us and wanted to book a Halong Bay boat trip, they recommended a tour company and spent a lot of time helping us with booking the trip. Thank you also to the tour company they made our final few days enjoyable and less stressful. If you are visiting Hai Phong stay at Avani this is the best service we have had in Vietnam.

modern hotel”

Excellent service -staff friendly and helpful. Hotel in quiet end of a main road, close to shops. Rooms large and comfortable. Recommend the café/ restaurant which provided a variety of Western and Vietnamese food. While close to the harbour, there was no harbour view but it didn't matter as we weren't there for the view.

Booked for a suite room but it's a total disappointment.”

The hotel is very old and the air conditioning system in the suite rooms are old and noisy. They changed our room from suite to executive and it was a newer ac but it's not working properly. The hotel rated themselves as 4-5stars but it's really not up to the standard.

An absolutely satisfactory stay”

We arrived at the hotel with such nice greetings from the staff. As the hotel knew the fact that we were newly wedded, they gifted us free upgrade to Luxury room. Needless to say how surprised and stunned we are, we thanked the friendly receptionists and proceeded to our room under the guidance of a doorman. The room gives a cozy vibe with its wooden interior. The bathroom is small yet fully furnished. Bedroom is lovely and minimalized with a big comfy double bed, a working table, and a chilling relax sofa. Though sometimes we still can hear the upper neighbor walking and the aircon is a bit cold to our liking (25°C is the highest temperature), we had a great night sleep. The breakfast was indeed a great feast. It is not everyday happening that you eat sushi to start your day. Because it is for breakfast, no raw fish was involved and yet the rolls were delectable. They have so many options for breakfast that everyone will be satisfied here: phở, omlette, cereal of several choices, samosa, croissant, newly toasted bread (3 types), sushi rolls, kimchi, miso soup, porriage, fried rice, toasted corn and tomatoes, yogurt, and fruits. Coffee is nice and many choices of tea are also available. Serving time for breakfast is long too, up to 10AM which is good for day sleeper like me. The swimming pool is outside at the ground floor. It is a pity that we came on a rainy day, but we managed to do a few laps. Depth us only 1.2m, enough for some chilling. The swimming pool is not too big, yet lovely for some leisure moments. On 2nd floor there is a lounge area where residents can chill down with a book. The bookshelf there is filled with international selections, from Japanese to German ones. The silence of the hotel and welcomeness of staff made our stay uncomplanable. Would love to revisit and recommend to anyone who has a big budget and would love some precious silence in a Vietnamese city.

It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel for 2 nights from the minute we arrived until the minute we left,the staff all spoke good english ,always smiling,service very good and friendly people ,we came here from Hilton Garden inn in Hanoi gave them a 7 this hotel is 10 PLUS

amazing service and comfort”

my stay was amazing as I had left my passport at the prior hotel they arranged everything for me. The tour guide through the city of Haiphong was so good and friendly felt like family. Their service was most humbling, the waitresses, the door boy reception never stopped smiling and had a great command of english. wonderful place

Nice staff and I feel like I am home”

This hotel located not very near the city but it provides all what you need. The breakfast buffet was good. The room seems to be old but the size was big enough the you can feel relax. The staff there are totally friendly (I thought Hanoi people was friendly enough, in this city, you will find the other level of friendliness). I hope Haiphong will get more developed in the term of tourism and I will surely return to this hotel again.

a very efficient business hotel”

it was a productive stay in the sense that I was able to reach my meetings within 5 minutes by car - I also enjoyed the "cha ca" - Vietnamese grilled fish - tremendously (I had it three times in two days!)

One of the better international hotels in Haiphong”

Very good hotel in the centre of town. Aiming mostly at international guests, locals would prefer different places. Excellent food and drink services, including your choice of Lavazza espresso and coffee varieties. Good bar, good wifi, good food. Rooms are nothing special, but OK.

An oasis in Haiphong with fantastic service”

We had a memorable stay at the Harbour View. We went to Haiphong for a friend's wedding and stayed only one night. The manager and hotel staff were very attentive and could not do more for us. The rooms were large and the bed was very very comfortable with all the right size pillows to ensure a good night sleep. We would recommend the hotel to anyone who loves comfort and are prepared to spend a bit more money for it.

Clean and comfortable”

We weren't expecting much when we decided to book the hotel as we merely wanted a place to stay overnight but we were pleasantly surprised that it turned out to be better than what we thought. Clean enough and comfortable. Those are the best words to describe the hotel.

Warm welcome and a high standard”

Although we stayed at the Harbour View Hotel for only one night we were impressed. Our room was a good size, and we enjoyed the small touches such as fresh fruit and a rose when we arrived. We spent a very comfortable night in the luxurious bed. Our breakfast in the morning was delicious, with good fresh coffee and a large range of foods on the buffet, including freshly made sushi. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

A nice colonial structure”

the hotel owns a beautiful building that still maintains lots of colonial architecture in a good location. we enjoyed our room and the window view onto the terrace. however, it would be better if the hotel considers carpeting its hallway, as the current brick walkway gives a lot of noise when we pulled our luggage along. breakfast choices are quite limited for a four star ranked hotel but we usually don't have big breakfast so it's not too much of a problem for us.

Comfortable stay but a bit hard to find food”

The place was good and the morning buffet variety was nice. Service was good and the people went out of the way to accommodate my requests. Only gripe I have is that it's a bit hard to find food in walking distance (I had to resort to taxis once or twice when I decided to go out for dinner). All in all, a nice place for a short stay

Great Rooms”

A lovely hotel. It does not look much on the outside , but once inside , it really a great hotel. the service of the staff great , even the rooms are are big and cosy, even the cleanliness is very up to standard Will Revisit again even it is a bit expensive

Perfect stay”

our stay at the harbour view hotel, the best hotel in haiphong, was very enjoyable. everything was perfect. the staff was very kind and professional. we loved the hearty breakfast buffet, with its delicious croissants and many fresh fruit juices to choose from. without exaggeration, i can say this was one of the best services we ever had in vietnam.

Quaint Colonial Hotel”

Honestly there's nothing much not to dislike this quaint hotel apart from the hot and humid weather. The room is clean and not as spacious I'd prefer, facing the courtyard. Check in is fast and efficient.Wonderful hotel staff that's ever so helpful. There's even a swimming pool hidden behind the hotel, you've got to just explore the place. The hotel's not in the city centre, so it's a great place to unwind and relax. Definitely would want to come back again!
