Lovely hotel, great service, good location, authentic, great value for money”
We picked Eden for it's location - we didn't want to be in the heart of town, preferring to be away from the hustle and bustle. Phu Quoc is definitely a developing tourist destination however Eden is still highly recommended instead of newer resorts. Right on the beach (beautifully clean), large pool (older style but always clean and well maintained), great restaurant facilities with fabulous breakfast selection and large, clean rooms. An authentic Vietnamese hotel experience, with all the trimmings of a resort. Highly recommend the day spa too! The staff are so friendly, polite and considerate. Enjoyed a wonderful holiday here and would highly recommend to others travelling to Phu Quoc. This resort would be great for families too.

More like 3*, but certainly not bad”
I honestly do not understand the bad reviews. It's obvious that Phu Quoc is not that much a luxury resort destination, if you compare it to Phuket or Samui. Therefore the hotels here are lacking that 'luxuriousness', which could be achieved if they'd put more attention to details. In Thailand, you would be offered a drink and a cold towel almost everywhere you check-in. Here in Phu Quoc - I don't think so. No pool villas, no really good spa centers (even in the most pretentious resort here - La Veranda). What I'm saying is that you should not expect much of Phu Quoc hotels, even though some of them are way overpriced. With that in mind Eden Resort is not so bad as some reviews may tell. + very nice garden with a small river, looks really beautiful, and even the unfinished buildings on the left side do not spoil it + I've read lots of negative stuff about the general attitude and friendliness towards the guests; well, maybe I am lucky, but the desk staff was very friendly, the bellboy brought our luggage to the room very quickly (and did the same on check-out, even though I forgot to ask for it), we were always greeted with a smile, so I really can't say anything bad about the staff + nice infinity pool, the only one of that type on the island, they say + nice stretch of the beach, white sand, clear sea + complimentary airport shuttle + free wi-fi everywhere (but sloooow) - no spa, just the locals on the beach offer some cheap massage, very cheap but unprofessional - breakfast you can miss (try mango pancakes and coffee at Alanis Deli, just 3 minute taxi ride) - room is good, generally, but you can expect more from a 4* hotel. Everything did work, but starts to show its age. And yes, the hot water is a problem sometimes. No bathrobes, but slippers provided.

Beautiful resort”
Eden Resort Phu Quoc is a nice place to stay in the island. The resort is in the middle of the way from Phu Quoc airport to the city center, so it is easy to access both. Rooms are clean and mosquito-free, swimming pool is enjoyable for adults as well as children. Breakfast buffets are delicious and the staff are very friendly. So Eden resort deserves a strong recommendation !

Perdect hotel for beach relaxation”
The Eden Resort is really a gem for your eyes. Located directly at a private beach in a quiet environment about 4km from Phu Quoc Duong Dong Centre it has a big pool overlooking the private beach in front. The breakfast is great and has a wide variety of western and asian food, some of them changing daily. The food in the restaurant is great. Now some opportunities of improvement to make it a perfect 4* experience: -No plastic curtains in the bathroom -English course for the staff because many dont speak english or very little (but they always ask some colleagues who can help you dont worry) -Food ordered has to be on the table much quicker (it is nice to have freshly cooked quality food but 20 minutes for french fries is just too long) -the check-in procedure was a little confusing (no info about breakfast, wifi, events etc.) BUT i have to admit it was a great great time there, relaxing at the pool, tasting the wine on the beach bar. Can just recommend this hotel

Overpriced”
Since 6 years I am traveling in Vietnam and especially in Phu Quoc and review 3 and 4 star hotels. This time I chose the Eden Resort to relax after a long working period. First the good points - Very friendly staff and try to help wherever they can - Very good security guards. Always took and eye - Very good location and very nice beach Now the points which need to be improved - For a 4 star hotel which cost more than EURO 140/per night (I chose the bungalow on the beach) I expect much more than I got. - The first 3 days I faced the problems with a not working Jacuzzi (I booked the bungalow with the jacuzzi to relax). Well, final answer = not possible to repair but you can move to another bungalow. We refused as half of the vacation was done already and we wanted a quit time. - On the third evening my wife eat a Tuna salad in the restaurant and got sick. Something was not good in the food of a 4 star hotel. - Well, we are in Vietnam and I love to have my vietnamese coffee in the morning (I need this). Not possible to get it (I pay extra for this) before 10 am. What's that ? - After the third day the restaurant run out of beer. only can's which I can buy easily in a supermarket. This for a 4 star hotel ? - After 5 days our key was not working anymore. They just enabled the card for a few days. - Our last day was similar. I order Beef loklac. Simple easy food. If you believe or not. I was not able to eat the beef, too many venes and too hard to chew. The rest I skip as they are minor issues As a final result I have to say there are much better hotels in Phu Quoc which has just 3 stars and are cheaper but the quality is great. The staff in the hotel try to reduce the pain of customers. For this Quality I would expect a price between 50 and 70 USD but not USD 150 even it is the beach bungalow. My favorite hotel is a different one. High quality, lower price and very relaxing without any additional trouble.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
We met up with our granddaughter Sarah Jane O'Hara and husband James who teach English in Ho Chi Minh City for a holiday which turned out to be a fairy tale lasting 17 wonderful days. The 7 hotels we stayed in were beyond reproached and the staff were wonderfully old world charm standards. Thanks to Agoda, unlike travel agents, hotel costs covered all 4 of us without breaking the bank. Food and drinks at these hotels averaged just over per day for the 4 of us. Try doing that in Sydney or elsewhere! Eden Phu Quoc Resort was reminiscent of Mombasa, Kenya in the 60's and 70's. It is said that time flies when having fun. We were checking out on day two until the reception staff told us ... "you leave tomorrow", to the delight of all.

Great hotel and services”
I love this hotel so much. The location is a little bit far but you can enjoy wonderful times for driving the motorbike from the hotel to the central of this island. All the services is really good. The room are nice and the staff also really nice and friendly... I love this hotel and of course I will come back here again... This is the only hotel that I feel relax and good in Phu Quoc Island.

New hotel with beautiful garden and amazing view”
the resort was built in 2010, new hotel with high standards. it is 4-5 km away from the noisy center of phu quoc, location is quiet and ideal for relaxation. the garden is amazing, just like the view from the swimming pool. although the resort is not 100% finished yet, some more bungalows are being built, this is not disturbing at all. wonderful hotel, highly recommended!

Beautiful spot, just amazing”
Booked in for one night, stayed for two. It was just a little bit of paradise. Admittedly pricier than we were normally paying, but totally worth it. Rooms were nice, pool great, views excellent, food and breakfast were really nice. Nothing lacking here at all, great island retreat, particularly as phu quoc itself doesn't have too much to offer.

Sublime, quiet location and very friendly staff.”
i travelled to eden resort with a group of 7 friends (mainly couples), and we were all blown away by how beautiful the resort was. upon arrival, you'll notice the foyer is tropical and lavish, and when heading to your room you can't help but admire the effort put into the maintenance of the garden (we saw staff cutting the grass by hand). the rooms are clean and cosy, all with a small balcony, decent sized bathroom and the general basics. breakfast is buffet style and the restaurant is very open and inviting, offering a selection of local and western meals. what sets this resort apart is the pool area. a massive pool overlooking the pristine beach is a sight to behold, and we spent 4 of our 5 days pretty much poolside escaping from the heat of the vietnamese sun. a bar nearby meant there were always refreshments, and if you're lucky enough like we were to have limited amount of guests at the hotel you could easily be fooled into thinking you own the place. taxis are always on hand for trips into town to visit the nightly seafood market (my recommendation for dinner as it's cheaper and more authentic than the resort, but be wary if you don't like seafood as alternatives are limited). the island itself is teetering on a development explosion, and reminded me of a quieter version of nha trang about 5 years ago before the commercialism took hold...so get here asap. i'll be recommending this hotel to anyone i know looking to experience the true vietnam island/beach experience and could not have been happier with my time here.

Exceptional”
This was one of the first resorts on the beach so it was much more calm and private than what we witness down further. The location is very near the airport, but Phu Quoc itself doesn't have much to see. If you like friendly staff, that are almost Stepford Wife friendly, and calm then this is a good place. :D Id stay here again to enjoy the quiet, the beach, and just to get away for while.

Romantic Resort for couples ”
We stayed for 3 night at this modern and clean resort. Even it was just about to begin the prime season it was still very empty. Most guest were young couples. The resort is still quite modern with a beautiful outside garden. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The pool is quite big and located just off the beach so you can enjoy the beautiful Phu quoc sunsets with a cocktail form the poolbar right there. The beach is very nice, theres also a volleyball field on the hotels side.Breakfast is plenty but nothing special. We havent eaten for Dinner, beacause we guessed food is better and cheaper outside the Hotel (NIghtmarket). Staff very friendly, they even put a birthday cake in my room !

Reasonable value for Phu Quoc.”
We stayed here for three nights in March. The superior room was absolutely fine; clean, spacious enough and not dated. The pool was nice and was a good size (for Phu Quoc) and was directly in front of a private section of beach with nice sand. The resort was fairly quiet while we were there – we had the pool to ourselves several times, and the beach area was very quiet. The resort is located at the edge of ‘civilisation’ on the island, though it’s cheap and easy to get around. This is the one place in Asia that we felt quite comfortable hiring a scooter and riding around safely. The stretch between the resort and the main tourist shops/restaurants felt like a big country town... The breakfast was quite good, as were the lunch and dinner menus. The one big negative of this resort was the Wi-Fi. It almost never worked in our room. We had to stand in the hallway to get Wi-Fi most of the time, and even then it was intermittent. There were two computers in the ‘business centre’-come-gym on which the Internet generally worked well. I would stay here again for value (decent hotels/resorts are quite pricy on Phu Quoc), though we would also consider spending the extra and staying at La Veranda.

Awesome Location, Great Service”
eden phu quoc resort is a hidden gem, tucked away in the further corner. due to its location, you'll get your very own white sandy beach, away from the main resort areas. rooms were clean, spacious and surprisingly very affordable. service is unlikely many, the friendly staff makes you feel right at home.

Great little paradise for chilling!”
As I booked rather late for our holiday during Tet holidays, everything was already fully booked. However, Eden still had a room available so we booked the Garden View bungalow. There are some not-so-great reviews on Tripadvisor so I was a bit wary, but we were very impressed! The hotel is relatively new and in great condition. Our room (bungalow) was very spacious - we had a baby cot and still had plenty of space to move around. The bathroom is also very spacious. Super hot water so that was never an issue. The pool was gorgeous - quite big - even when other guests were in the pool, you still had lots of space. THere is a small little area for kids - it was great! We travelled with our 10 month old baby and loved it. Lots of beach chairs (with towels already prepared for you) to lounge on at the beach and at the pool. Breakfast was OK - although we found if you went later (around 9am), some of the food was already gone. Although there are highchairs, there is no strap or anything to keep the baby in (just a chair) - so we used a sarong to tie our baby in. Location-wise - the hotel is about 10-15 min south of the "strip" of restaurants/shops - but we rented a motorbike so rode around town easily. The hotel restaurant food was rather expensive (especially compared to the other restaurants around) so we never ate there. All in all, I'd definitely recommend Eden Resort - was a lovely paradise for chilling, relaxing, hanging out by the pool/beach. (We had no problems with noise from construction - but perhaps because they weren't doing any during Tet holidays....)

Great flash deal”
We got an upgrade to Ocean View suite. The view is awesome. The room is spacious and neat. Modern style with huge bed nice setting. From the balcony or the windows of the room you can overview the whole beautiful picture of the resort certainly including the wonderful coastline of Phu Quoc beach. One thing I love most is the sunset, it's one of the things mesmerizing me and making me come back next time. The pool and surrounding are pretty cool. The Jazcuzzi massage pool is quite poor; in my opinion, it needs more bubble way-outs and must be stronger to make it efficient. The staff is friendly, helpful and always smile.
