Great stay in Ho Chi Minh City's backpacker's district”

We have stayed at the Eden Garden Hotel quite a few times when visiting Ho Chi Minh City. It is very reasonable and comfortable hotel in the heart of the backpacker's district where we love to hang out in the evenings. The accommodations are great, and the location is perfect. It is also a short walk to the Ben Thanh Market, and convenient to get to Ho Chi Minh City's other well known tourist attractions.

I decided to try a stay at Bui Vien area for the first time during my trips to Ho Chi Minh City. To my great surprise, staff showed me a very big room out of 50 rooms in total. I thought that there isn't that big hotel in the area. It is just few steps away from bars, restaurants, shops. It is worth for money to stay at the Eden Garden hotel when you are on holiday.

budget room with good front office staff”

I wanna praise that the front office staff is very helpful, friendly and she has spoken English very well , so we had a good stayed week in this hotel . She was very willing to help you if you have any inquiry about your tour in Ho Chi Ming. I booked a deluxe family room , the room is big enough which has a side living room , fridge , sofa , cabinet , dresser , bathtub , hair dryer , half body mirror in bathroom . The housekeeping cleaned your room everyday..so whenever we come back from our day out from outside , we love the feel of the room which is very comfortable , tidy and clean , BUT the floor is not really clean as i felt it was a bit sticky sometimes.The amenities in room changed everyday , so you do not need to worry about you have no coffee sachet , new brush and shower gel in room. The location is strategic if you like nightlife , tasting the town foods ,there have many bars and pubs nearby . The facilities in hotel quite convenient. The front office staff will help to keep your passport for the week that you are in town , because there are alots of pickpocket in Ho Chi Ming. Furthermore , you could change the currency in hotel with very minimum charge which is save your time to going somewhere to exchange the currency. Other than that , the front office staff will help to book taxi which is transferring you to airport . The price is reasonable and affordable. However , the breakfast in hotel still need to have alots improvement. The chef and staff do not know to speak English. So it cause abit trouble for us to request something from them. The chef cooked the sunny side eggs and scrambles egg which is very oily. The breakfast menu repeated everyday(only they change the fried noodle or fried rice in rotation), i stayed for 5 days , after three days i ended up took my breakfast at outside shop. The breakfast room at rooftop is quite hot because the aircond is not cool enough or maybe it is not sufficient because it is only one airocnd there. \ Briefl

Recently refurbished hotel in the heart of Saigon.”

At the moment at under $40 this 3 star central hotel is a bargain but I am sure they will soon put the rates up. I was surprised to find that they also own the Dragon Palace Hotel as I had been recommended their spa by an American woman and I had the best massage I have ever had there. Within a week or so there will be a spa of similar quality at the Eden Garden too. My other reviews are all of 4 or 5 star hotels and I must admit I only booked in here for one night as it is close to a business meeting I had but I ended up extending. The difference for the $60 saving per night is not worth it while i'm travelling alone but to put things in context you don't get a swimming pool and the rooms are about 4 square metres smaller than a 4 star. There is still Sunsilk branded shampoo and such in the bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities with a mini-bar priced cheap enough for it not to be a worry. The laundry service was quicker than The Waldorf Astoria and with a smile too! You also get a rooftop breakfast where they'll make you a nice omelette if you don't fancy anything from the choice of sandwiches; fruit and Asian food on offer. There are VIP rooms for those who want a bigger suite style room but the first room I was put in suited me fine, very quiet out the back, very clean and to be fair the en-suite, with a corner bath and again, immaculately clean is as good as some 4 star hotels. The aircon is new and quiet but because it was quiet I also enjoyed the properly opening window. There is also a small restaurant adjacent and the food is excellent but here you can walk to a thousand small cafes or nicer places like Corner Bar if you so wish. The staff were also very helpful and will find you anything you like from running to get a prescription from a pharmacy to renting you a car or motorbike if you have a death wish. I will be staying here again.

I stayed only one night at Eden Garden hotel but i am very like this hotel. Staffs were very nice and friendly. Quickly check in and check out. Nice restaurant with many food. Room very clean and morden. Good location.In centre of city. Very near Ben Thanh market, walking 5 minutes. Surely come back again

Great hotel close to back packing area”

The Eden garden hotel is located close to the back packers area which is just what we were looking for. There is plenty of good and low priced restaurants in the area and many bars.the staff are very friendly and speak good English and will help with anything and give information. The bars in the area were really good, recommend hair of the dog bar. Quality.

It was a very great stay, as I know the area which the hotel is situated. The location is simply fantastic, all within walking distance to restaurants and entertainment joints. Breakfast is also great, lot's of choices available. I will stay in Eden Garden hotel again, and I highly recommend it to all travelers to HCMC.

First Solo Travel Experience”

It was a good experience for me in Eden Garden Hotel. I feel safe and the staff are so accommodating and friendly! Its my first to travel solo and security is quite important to me and I really felt safe there. After my tour, I will always come to the room that is neat and very clean.

Great location, reasonably price! ”

I had a comfortable stay at Eden Garden Hotel. Staff were very attentive to my requests and are all very polite. Rooms were spacious enough and furniture were relatively new. The hotel was nice enough not to charge me for checking out two hours after the prescribed time. Location of the hotel was an advantage too! It has plenty of dining places and pubs around. Ben Than market was also a good 10 minutes walk. Not to mention the hotel rates are very reasonably as well!

Have short stay at Eden hotel but very like it. Staffs are nice and very friendly. Room is tiny and clean. Buffer breakfast with verity of Europe and Asian foods. Surrounded by many restaurants, bars and coffees. Only walking 5 minutes to Ben Thanh market. Very near 23/9 park. Value for money with cheap price and great location. Surely come back hotel next time and will suggest my friends staying this hotel.

This is my 3rd time stay at eden Garden and it was just as the last time. Friendly staff and helpful people. Good location in the heart of backpackers area with plenty of choices for dining. Highly recommend for every one come here staying.

Nice Receptionist and Spa”

Booked 4 Executive Family Suite with Balcony but was told only 1 was available upon arrival. Hotel cannot contact us to inform us of this situation as Agoda did not provide them with our contact details. Family suite went to the family of 2 adults and 2 kids while the rest of us stayed in the normal rooms. Family suite was very big while the other rooms are sufficient for a decent stay. When family suite rooms were available the next day, receptionist asked if we want to change rooms but we were lazy to change. We were offered discounts for downgrading our rooms for both days and for the airport transfer. Hotel is rather old but still ok. Breakfast almost same for both days that we stayed there. Located in an area where many Caucasians stay. Lots of pubs and western food in this area. 5-10 mins walk to Ben Thanh Market. Convenience store just beside the hotel and a Subway store just round the corner for a decent sandwich. Spa at hotel is quite good. Mostly using USD at this area but also can use DONG. After massages, they will ask for feedback and tip in USD of $5 or more. Can ignore and pay in DONG of your preferred / comfortable amount.

Cheap, clean hotel room”

The Hotel was great value for money. The location is good in terms of being located in a bustling alleyway, right in the heart of District 1. But that also means it is very loud at night. Our room's location meant we heard the bar noise until 2 or 3 AM. Would be much better if the windows were double-paned on that side of the hotel. The room was clean, the staff was helpful, but didn't speak much English.

We were enjoying our stay at Eden Garden Hotel, quick respond from the stuff, delicious breakfast in the morning, great location with so many restaurant, cafe, tour and travel agent and big park next street. The bad things is at night time is a bit noisy. Also the shower water need more strong.
