Great value airport hotel... Free Shuttle...”

This property is a great value airport hotel with a free airport shuttle. One can see the airport tower nearby, however, on roads, it's probably a couple miles to the entrance of the airport, about 8 minutes or so. There are closer hotels, however, they seem to get seedier as one gets closer and I don't know their prices. I got an excellent, large well appointed room for $54, an incredible buy in PHX. The property had wonderful staff, an adequate breakfast, a nice pool, and the rooms have everything, fridge, microwave, AC, a large HD TV, radio, queen bed, iron and iron board, etc. They could have charged double! I highly recommend it. DRC

Great place if you're on a budget”

I read some really bad reviews. However, MY experience was not bad. It's not in a good area but the place itself is safe. The room was MUCH nicer than I expected. Everything was up to date. I did have some issues with the wifi but if you want a decent, clean place to sleep, this is a good fit. I'll be staying here from now on . They had a coffee pot, full size microwave, decent fridge. FREE shuttle to the airport. And everything was CLEAN which is a big deal to me. I usually stay at the Sheraton and I actually liked this place better because it was nice and had just what I needed for a great price. I only paid 65 AFTER tax.

Good for a night near the airport”

This is a hotel near the airport, with a shuttle to the airport, reasonably priced and with free 'breakfast'. The hotel is not in a 'safe-looking' area so we made sure we had something for dinner/drink before dropping off our rental car. From the car rental building, we took the shuttle to the airport to wait for the hotel shuttle - make sure you or the hotel call the shuttle to let them know you will be there! Our driver was irritated that he didn't know we were waiting when he came to drop off a couple at the airport. The hotel room was clean (but rust on tub drain), with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, blow dryer (soap and shampoo/conditioner only). Ice maker (if you can find it) needs room key. The breakfast (started at 4 a.m.-awesome for people leaving early) was coffee, packaged Danish and bagels/cream cheese (no milk, juice machine broken). One huge bathroom for one person. Hotel shuttle picked us up promptly at 7 a.m. as arranged by the woman at the front desk.

Clean and nicely appointed renovated rooms. Not a great area but close to airport and quick drive to Tempe or Phoenix. Great value if you need to be near airport!

Great value”

Arrived on a late night flight with 2 children and this property had a free shuttle from the airport. Friendly shuttle driver. Pleasant and easy check in. Clean and spacious room. Property grounds well maintained. Free breakfast wasn't much (muffins, bagels, danish, juice, coffee) but it was good enough to start our day. For the price, this was a great value and a clean quiet room to get a good night of rest.

Good for pre-flight stay”

The lodge is a clean an convenient place to stay for air travellers. The amenities are well suited with specific needs in sight - the breakfast starts at 4AM, there is an hourly airport shuttle... you name it. The rooms are freshly renovated, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is fairly basic (bagels, jams, oatmeal), but it is there. The biggest downside is the quite rough neighbourhood, with homeless people hanging around neighboring Family Dollar store, however the motel premises are nice. Public transit is almost nonexisting (over a mile to a tram stop, or some bus only twice an hour), so it helps to have a car if you intend to visit the downtown.

Great value hotel”

Great hotel for it’s class. An overnight stay for an early morning flight. Free airport shuttle. Located in a sketchy area but the compound is enclosed. We parked right in front of our room and the parking lot is well-lit with bright lights. Clean and basic room. Nothing fancy yet am very satisfied with the stay.

Very good”

Overall, Econo Lodge Airport was great for the price compared to other accommodation that was available. Free airport shuttle made things much more convenient. The room was big and very comfortable with a good shower in the bathroom. Location was not great as there wasn't anything nearby to see or do. There is a bus stop very near to the hotel that can bring you to the city center if you don't happen to drive so it's still not too bad. The wifi in my room was not stable at times but overall still satisfactory.

Convenient place to stay ”

It wasn’t in a good area, but a very convenient place to the airport. The room was nice and clean, but the bed was super squeaky for every movement.

The hotel has free shuttle bus to pick you up and drop you off at the airport. Just tell the reception, they are very helpful.

Motel near airport”

Near airport and excellent value but not near any tourist areas. A basic near the airport motel. Room was clean, breakfast was basic continental fare and facilities are okay. Good for a quick stopover for a single guy.

Truck Driver & my dog”

I was traveling through in my large commercial truck and booked this hotel online as a stopping point. I was eager to use the jacuzzi tub in my king room after 4 days on the road. The room was huge and clean and comfortable, they were very accommodating of my dog, staff was amazing (especially ashley)... neighborhood is less than desirable but i felt secure and no one messed with my truck. I would absolutely stay here again!!

Overnight at the Econo lodge”

This was just a stop over after an evening flight to Phoenix. The area around the motel was inhabited by just about any kind of street person you could find, druggies, drunks, etc. We only spent the one night so we were not planning on staying in the area. The room was clean and once you were in the motel grounds it felt relatively safe. I think the cost was a little high because of a number of special events taking place in the Phoenix area that weekend.

Place was clean, parking for the airport and the shuttle were a huge bonus.

Good airport option”

The room was great, clean and very comfortable. The location was optimum and the free bus very helpful. The breakfast was v avg, the styrofoam plates were a bit shocking to be honest in todays environmental awareness. The pool was lovely and the staff were all very nice.

The hotel was located conveniently and the room was very unusual with a jacuzzi in it. But the bed was very hard and gave both of us a back age, so since you spent more time in bed for an over night stay we would not go there again.
