More than I expected”
First of all, the room is very very clean, which is more than I expected for an Inn by a freeway, This is the most important thing for me. Also, the staff are very friendly. They offer snacks and drinks from 5-7 pm at the lobby for everyone to chill out. I would strongly recommend Drury to anyone who’s planning to stay in Champaign.

Older hotel but well cared for”
Impressed by Drury's standards. Always find accommodations to be best possible. Even older hotels maintain clean facilities and updated bathrooms and sleeping and seating areas. Meals and snacks and drinks are much appreciated. Staying at Drury is always a pleasure, unlike other hotel chains.

For the price we paid the room was great! We were put in a higher floor room which was a great surprise and the room was really clean! The layout of the hotel makes it feel fancier adding even more value to what we paid. The breakfast buffet in the morning was one of the best that I've had across other hotels. We would definitely stay here again!

Super friendly staff combined with a very clean room made for a great stay. The free breakfast was also nice. My only problem was due to another guest that was banging on their door super loud a half hour before I was planning on getting up.

We didn’t love it.”
We booked for fun more than out of necessity thinking our kids would enjoy a fun hotel stay and swimming to break up a short car trip. This is NOT the hotel to stay at if you’re looking for fun. The pool is very, very small and dated, and looked kind of dirty/overly cloudy. The hot tub was orange, rust rimmed (where the seats backs are- not just on top) and stained. We didn’t allow our kids to go in it. And, this isn’t necessarily the hotels fault but it’s hard to swim with a 4 and 7 year old when older kids are throwing a football and screaming profanities in a very small area. That was a big bummer, but again- I know the hotel isn’t responsible for guest behavior. I thought the food was- ok. I wouldn’t look forward to eating it again. At breakfast it felt like there were a lot of options. Same with the bed- I’ve probably slept on less comfortable ones but this was not great. I usually love sleeping on hotel mattresses but last night I missed my own. We had a King Suite and the room was nice and large, just pretty dated. Very clean. Everyone that worked there was very pleasant and everything was very clean except for the pool area. I think they were doing the best they could with what they had. It felt safe and again, the staff was very nice and obviously take pride in their work- however, we probably wouldn’t stay there again. I know I sound like a complainer, but I’m not usually- just wanted to make other families in our situation (specifically planning to swim somewhere) that it may not be the best option.
