Excellent hotel with Amazing Ocean Views ! ”

The hotel is located right in front of the ocean and has good sea facing rooms with balcony etc. We actually booked a King Room with Balcony and High Floor (As mentioned in Agoda booking). The picture shown in Agoda for this room had a full ocean facing room with a good balcony. However, while trying to check-in the hotel staff mentioned that my booking had only king room with balcony on a high floor (but doesn’t mention ocean view and has only hill view for they weekend). I specifically booked that category only for the ocean view. So, we had to top up extra for a Terrace Suite Sea View Room, which had a huge terrace balcony with amazing ocean views. We literally did not want to go our t of our room. The house keeping was excellent and prompt. We had ordered dinner to our room on the the first night of our stay. The room service took 1 hour and 10 mins to send the food and also called after 1 hour mentioning they didn’t have one of the item I had order an hour ago. I was completely disappointed and was so angry due to my hunger (hangry). However, during the next day at breakfast, the food and beverage manager at the Mr. Baharin Burhan identified us with the rooms number and apologised in person for the delayed and offered a complimentary meal to make it up for the delay. The service of the staff was excellent. They are always smiling and willing to listen to your problem if you encounter one and eager to help you out with anything. Great hospitality and location. Will definitely stay with Doubletree Resort by Hilton, Penang soon. Highly recommend 👍🏻

I Love Everything!”

Good day.. i love this hotel so much! Other than Mangala Resort, DoubleTree Resort By Hilton Penang now became one of my favorite hotel.. nothing to complaint coz everything is almost perfect :) I want to thank this hotel for making my stay a memorable one.. it's my wedding anniversary actually & i just asking the hotel to provide a slice of cake to surprise my husband.. end up, they deco the room beautifully with fresh rose petals & it's FOC.. all that beyond my expectation.. tq so much! definitely we will come back again someday :)

Everything, So Brand New!”

The DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang is a mere 45-min drive from the airport. Located just by the beach, the hotel is very much accessible by nearby Georgetown. The lobby is huge and spacious, and facilities such as the gym and swimming pools, inviting. I was assigned a corner room, which was larger than other hotels of similar tier. The interior design was very modern, with nice finishing touches such as USB charging ports and a variety of lighting options. Overall a pleasant stay, made even better with attentive and friendly staff.

Excellent service! ”

Excellent service since we step into the lobby with complimentary warm cookies and it was delicious! And it was my gf birthday, requested some surprise. Open room door saw swan decor with birthday wishes on the bed. More than I could ask. Two birthday cake on day 1 and day 2 after we when back to the hotel, much surprise! And didn’t expect this much! Really appreciated it! However I did requested for high floor room with sea view but what we got in the end was at 2nd floor with partially sea view. And the room was a little dirty and dusty with spider web at the corner. But in the end it was a excellent experience staying at Doubletree Penang by Hilton. Me and my gf love it very much! Great job Doubletree Penang and Hilton!

Quiet Getaway”

This hotel is marvellous for a quiet getaway from city. Location is away from bustling traffic and located midway between Georgetown and Batu Ferringhi. Nice calming ambience and well taken care by their well trained staffs. Room was spacious and view from balcony towards the sea was what i needed for a break. Preferably if you drive your own car as you need to travel out whenever you feel like having local penang foods. This hotel comes with ample multistorey carpark. On the side note, it does not have a private beach, so we spent most of our time at the swimming pool whenever we wanted to swim. Definitely worth visiting again if i need a quiet getaway.

A resort that truly live up to the Hilton name”

Excellent & speedy check in service handled by floor manager of the day Miss Shalini. They spotted us when we came in from the car park carrying our luggages and spot on attentive. Welcome cookies were warm, luggages were handled and delivered to our room in a speedy manner. She was informative too in suggesting our best mode of transportation to another location in Batu Ferringi which we were supposed to attend a wedding dinner that day. Love the pool side, pool side service and also the next morning buffet spread in terms of varieties and tastiness. Room and toilet were very clean although there's a small bit of stain on the window curtain but it's not really our concern as it is understandable that we were in this place during one of the peak holiday weekend of the year. Air-conditioning is cold enough and perfect for me. Love how the Careline provided me with a complimentary shaving kit when I told them my shaver was broken on the morning. Not to mention some of the toiletries provided are Crabtree & Evelyn products. Overall we give this resort a 10/10 for our stay here. Definitely it live up to the Hilton name and standard. Will come back again if we are going to Batu Feringgi for a getaway.

Spacious room. Nice Ambience”

The hotel is located in a quiet area within Batu Ferringhi. The room is very spacious and the bed is very comfy. But the quantity of the shower gel and shampoo provided is too little. Not quite enough for 2 persons. If the hotel could add a coffee table in the room that would be perfect. Overall the ambience of the hotel is very nice and very resort feel. Building and furnitures are well maintained. Cookies provided by the reception upon check in is yummy.

Wonderful staff and service”

The hotel is very nice, as we knew from our previous trips, but on this visit, the staff were so welcoming and friendly to our family. From arranging the New Year Eve dinner to ensuring we had comfortable rooms close to each other, to the helpful and hardworking housekeeping staff, we were well taken care of. Thanks to Mr Karim, the General Manager, Mr Bob, Mr Baharain, and all the restaurant staff for making us feel at home. We will definitely go back to Doubletree Hilton in our next trip to Penang

Exceptional stay & service”

Stayed: 2 Night, Sky Terrace Suite Thumbs up: Chris meeting us upon arrival at the lobby & gave us speedy check in. Ensuring us for a room as we were early. Went for lunch & chris met us at the hotel’s restaurant( makan kitchen) personally to pass the room cards to us ensuring everything is all ready. Shanaka: for always checking up on my partner & i. Asking about the quality of the food & remembered that we didnt finished our nasi goreng even asked if there was something wrong. Went the extra miles to find a florist near the hotel that i could arrange for flower delivery for my partner. Beautiful room, nice view. Warm staffs from start to end. Truly a DoubleTree standard. The best DoubleTree in Malaysia. Staffs from JB & KL should learn from Penang as staffs here are way more warmer & friendlier.

Beautiful Hotel, Beautiful Memories”

I booked for a One Bedroom Suite with Balcony and I got a spacious room complete with the view of Batu Ferringhi Beach! The location of the property is spot on. The building looks proud from afar and the inside reflects the outer image. I love the mattress and pillows, they're so comfortable. The bathroom and toilet are nice too. I will definitely come again when I visit Penang in the future. Thank you agoda!

Good location”

We stayed tonight in DoubleTree Resort. It was relaxing, not too far from the night market, but its a bit distance from Penang town.

New hotel near a small beach”

New hotel by a small beach but it isn’t at the central part of Bath Ferringhi beach where the night markets and most of the restaurants are. Need a car to go around. Room is spacious and clean. All staffs are friendly and good. Nice pool and have an overhead bridge to cross the road and access the public beach. Breakfast was okay. Nice place to relax for a day or two. Cons : Pillows in the room are really too too soft. Bad night’s sleep due to that.

Friendly staff, Clean Rooms”

Loved the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the rooms and the amenities. Beds were large and soft. Towels were soft and new too. The only draw was that there was an error in the card system causing us to be locked out of our room and even the master card couldn't work. They had to get a machine up to reset the card system. Location is about 2km from the Batu Ferringhi Night Market and i didn't spot much shops or restaurants beside the Resort. But as I rented a vehicle, travelling wasn't an issue for me. Loved the quiet and peaceful surroundings. Overall, a good stay in terms of cleanliness and service.

Change for the Better”

The last time I stayed at the hotel, it was named the Hydro Majestic Hotel. My experience at the time was not good and I've told myself that it will be the last time I stayed at the hotel. Many years to the present time, I was pleasantly surprise that the Hydro Majestic Hotel is no more and Double Tree by Hilton has taken over. 9 September 2018 was my 13th wedding anniversary and I told my wife that we might want to give the hotel another chance. I knew I was up for a surprise when I reach the hotel and I didn't disappoint. There was a total 360 degree change from the moment I arrived to the moment I checked out. To name but a few, the hotel reception has delightfully moved to the front, The swimming pool has totally change (approved by the kids) and even though we did booked for the "top of the line" room, our room was beautiful (approved by the wife). Its not just the structure had change for the better, but the staff as well. I was greeted by your staff by the name of Nita.

Excellent”

Service is great, room is clean and comfy, however beach was a disappointment. Beach had a lot of rocks and shells. It was also a very crowded time (year-end), and even swimming in the pool feels super crowded. To be honest, I expected better since it is holding a Hilton brand name, and it's a 5-star hotel. Location is a bit far from the center, but just a short drive will get you there. Granted, I got it at a discounted rate, and what I got matches the price I paid. But if I were to choose again, I will probably have selected a different hotel for comfort and relaxation as that was the purpose of my visit, even if I had to pay more or double the price. Just kinda weird that we had to pay for parking even though we are staying in the hotel (am not complaining cause it's not expensive - only RM3/day, just out of the norm). So will I recommend this venue? Yes, if you are looking for a good deal with great service and a decent room, but no if you are looking for a really relaxing and comfortable trip.

A gem!”

1st time staying here and I can guarantee there will be more stays here in the future! Great hospitality, my 3yo boy lovee the kids pool area(and the complimentary cookie!), spacious and comfy room, good location (relatively nearer to town compare to other Batu Feringgi hotels of the same value). Beach is just across the road. It was nice and quiet when we were there.

perfect for family with small children”

being a hilton honors we got upgraded eventho booked thru Agoda, the room is big enough to have 2 babycot and a king bed and since its my husband birthday they were kind enough to prepare a small cake in the room for him. 25% discount on buffet breakfast and saturday night bbq was awesome, Makan Kitchen never disappoint. my kids love the pool and kiddy pool, barely left the pool.

Best place to relax and easy accessible to beach”

Very close to the beach, and the teddy museum. Free cookies provided upon check-in, very warm kind of welcome gift. Hotel room are very clean and neat, without any smoke smell. Given Crabtree and Evelyn as toiletries material, very much appreciated it. Overall experience was 90% !!! Give 10% for future room for improvement. Keep it up Hilton Hotel. Will recommend more friend to stay here whenever they are in planning to stay for short vacation in Penang.

Above expectations!”

This will be my choice of hotel for coming visits to Penang. i was mesmerized by how beautiful and luxurious the hotel is. Such a class ! The hotel staff on the other hand were so friendly and helpful and always with a smile. The breakfast is a must as they serve local Malaysian cuisine and its delicious to be honest. The room is very big for all four of us , the shower is cozy and we have a sofa bed. The swimming pool is huge and has two kids pool. also, to my surprise, they also have a linking bridge that will take you right to the beach from the hotel. how cool is that ? I've been to Penang many times before, but this hotel is one step above the rest and im definitely going to recommend to all of my friends.
