Oldies but goldies”

Dorsett Grand Subang is old hotel but still one of the best hotel in Subang area, the room is spacoius n clean, facilities completed with swimming pool, full equip gym n spa. Breakfast menu change every day (i stayed 4 days). Check in n check out very quick, all staff are very awesome n kind. Free shuttle bus to sunway pyramid, empire, subang parade n suria shopping mall also i-city. I have given late check out till 4 pm, very pleasent condition. Sure i will stay here again when in subang area KL.

Super comfortable bed and pillows - Would stay here again. ”

I stayed at Dorsett Grand Subang for one night on last 22/23 Feb to attend my friend's wedding held in another hotel. I chose Dorsett Grand Subang because it was recommended by a friend who stays in Subang Jaya. I was greeted by a friendly staff. The check-in was fast. So was the check-out. The room was spacious. It has a fantastic view outside; overlooking the swimming pool and the Subang Ria lake. The ultimate charmers of the room would be the rainfall shower head (I love rainfall shower head!), the bed and pillows. I've stayed in many hotels before but Dorsett Grand Subang hands down offers the best bed and pillows. The bed and pillows were so fluffy and comfortable. I had a very good sleep during my stay in Grand Dorsett Subang. The con - The room was great but it had moldy odour when I entered the room. It eventually went away after a few hours. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my stay and would return again in the future.

Great friendly staff, but the shower and quality of room service can be improved on”

We love everything about this hotel except two things - the shower head can't be adjusted to angle downwards, and the room service menu is limited and doesn't taste very good. Shower: It's either you use a shower head that faces the wall (doesn't angle downwards) or use the overhead rain shower head, which by the way sets off by default and sprays you with cold water when you first start the shower. This freaked out my 1 year old and made him scared of the shower for about 2 days. Whenever I want to shower without completely getting my head wet, I have to gold the shower head with one hand. Very bad design. However, this is our go-to hotel every time we go back to Shah Alam. We have tried others - Shah Alam Concorde, Imperial Subang, Sunway Hotel, Grand Blue Wave - and none of them can quite compare to the Grand Dorsett when it comes to comfort of the room, sound proofing (very important) and professional staff. All of the others I would only give at maximum a 3 out of 5 star.

Best Hotel in Subang”

Excellent staffs, especially CK Tan at check in who greets customers with a warm smile. Big, clean. comfortable and quiet rooms. Nice bathroom. Nice view of the lake from my room. Hair dryer and iron with ironing board available in the room. Walking distance to good restaurants. Short drive to my favourite seafood restaurant at Subang airport and Sunday morning market at Shah Alam stadium. First time staying at Dorsett Grand Subang and will stay at this hotel for all my future trips in Subang

Lovely hotel in outer Kuala Lumpur”

The Grand Dorsett Subang is a most homely and relaxing hotel situated in outer Kuala Lumpur. I had a most enjoyable stay there and utilized the gym and swimming pool. The rooms are pleasantly appointed and spacious although the tv was a bit old and small. If you can get a pool side room, it is lovely. Breakfast was excellent as well.

The rooms in Dorsett Grand hotel Subang was really spacious, clean and very very comfortable. I can spend my whole day in the room just lying on their soft warm bed without even going out! It was that good. I really love the interior and decoration of the hotel too. It made me feel royalty, to an extent. However, some of the staff's are really slow in their service. I was dining in one of their cafe and had to wait for almost 40minutes for my meal. I even managed to go for 2 smoking breaks in between waiting. Other than that, everything was superb. Keep up the good work, people.

Great but a bit of ....”

Great Hotel and certainly, I will stay again. But there are few hmmmms. One is the smoke smells at the corridor. I was staying at standard Dorsett room but this smoking smell from the corridor is unacceptable. You take a bath, dry your hair, getting ready and just after you open the door, the smell destroys motivations to go out. Also, the shower head was broken. Otherwise, the best experience, as always, is the breakfast restaurant. I quite enjoy the place. It has this classic hotel feelings which I can not find anywhere in kuala lumpur anymore (There are some in Penang still but not in KL). I would seriously recommend some form of renovation on this damages caused by smokers or perhaps take a bit of a money from smokers as these people will ruin everything but pay nothing more. Please keep up!! Thank you very much!!

Lovely hotel in outer Kuala Lumpur”

I stayed here for two nights and was very happy with the experience. The hotel is in the outer area of Kuala Lumpur near Sunway Pyramid shops. They provide a shuttle a few times a day or a meter taxi is about 9RM. I really liked the swimming pool and the gym there. Breakfast has a wide variety of foods which is excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel if you are in the Subang area.

We're family 3 adults 2 children are stayed at Dorsett Grand Subang. Dorsett Grand Subang good to stay and very easy to find good foods nearby the hotel. The staffs of Dorsett Grand Subang very friendly and helpful. Only the bathroom have bad smell. Housekeeping must check this thing.

Luxury Hotel at a very Reasonable price”

Grand Dorsett Hotel is definitely a must for those travelling to Kuala Lumpur. Were greeted by very friendly staff who made us feel welcome from the word go. Showed us up to our very spacious room which had amazing views ! A little far from the city centre but the staff were very quick and helpful to call a cab for us when the need arose. Will definitely stay there again if I find myself in Kuala Lumpur again.

Stay 3nights with my girl. We had an awesome stay with dorsett grand Subang, the staff there are super friendly. I only managed to have our breakfast for 2days, but the food is nice! They will change the menu different days so u guys won’t get boring of the food! Will definitely choose this hotel again when I travel to Msia. Thumbs up for them :)

Old building but well maintained”

Friendy staff, and good service. Didnt realize this is 5 star hotel until day after i checkout due to extremely cheap price. bedsheet all are clean, and very comfortable bed. baby under 1 year old able to sleep well. Some minor thing : aircon thermostat has issue. unable to control temperature by bring up setpoint, and room was cold, until we reduce fan speed to make it more comfortable. Some room toilet are clear window, some matte, some was sticked with wall paper. Hotel come with free shutter to sunway pyramid , subang mall and subang station.

Pleasant Stay ”

Spent 3D2N in Grand Dorsett with my partner, who is here in KL to attend several work meetings. Although the room seemed slightly worn down (peeling wallpaper, aged Furniture etc.), the staffs’ attentiveness made up for minor flaws as such. The room provided was up to our standards, spacious and clean. Dorsett also provides shuttle services to Sunway Pyramid (daily), KLCC and Mid Valley (weekends) which definitely is a pluspoint :) Would definitely stay again.

Dorsett converted my Dorsett Room to Dorsett Vip! I'm so happy and thankful to Dorsett gave me priority to enjoy my weekday staycation's there. Room very clean, nice view, nice room, spacious, love the interior of the room! Definitely will come again as Dorsett Subang are my favourite hotel in Subang area.

4* hotel with a 5* attitude”

I spent 4 nights recently in Grand Dorsett Subang, I had booked the Dorset room but upon check in they upgraded me which wss a wonderful gesture. The room was a good size and the complimentary wifi works well The Staff are very courteous, friendly and nice. The breakfast buffet is amazing with a choice of different cuisine ststions. The room was large and I feel comfortable staying there and this was my 3rd time there. Surely would go back next time.

Grand Dorsett is located in a rapidly developing area. It is close to Sunway Pyramid, Subang Parade and other shopping and tourist attractions as well as education institutions; ie. Monash Uni and Sunway Uni. The access from and to public transport is good. It is also easy to go to airport or to Kuala Lumpur. The hospitality of the crews are good and the hotel room is complete, well laid out and nicely fitted.

i stayed at the grand dorsett due to its proximity to sunway pyramid and their facilties. the room was well appointed and the lightly shaded decor was pleasing. i ordered room service which was excellent. i really like the gym and the sauna. the swimming pool was also lovely. there was a fine array of food at breakfast. a five star hotel but without the price tag.

I was on business trip to kuala lumpur. My superiour recommend me to use agoda to look for the hotel. By RM300 can get a 5 star hotel. It is really good value of money for Dorsett Hotel. The location is closed to Kuala lumpur city and easily access to my customer.

Good value stay for Christmas season ”

When the neighbouring hotels are charging more than RM350-RM400 for a night stay, this hotel just charges less than RM300 per night. Dorsett Grand Subang is not a new hotel, situated slightly out of the way of shopping malls. However, it provides hourly shuttle service to Sunway Pyramid and Subang Jaya LRT station. From Subang Jaya LRT station, one can travel to KL Sentral or KLCC easily. We took about less than hour to travel from Subang Jaya LRT station to KLCC on Saturday morning (Dec 23 2017). On our way back to the hotel, we uberred back from Subang Jaya LRT station which only took less than 10 minutes. The beds provided by the hotel are comfortable with the option of soft or firm pillows on request. Breakfast at this hotel is considered above average of those provided by the neighbouring hotels. In addition, the swimming pool is bigger as well. Our check out was hassle free. Our overall experience with this stay of 3 nights is satisfactory.
