Great location for fantastic holidays”
This was our first stay at Dolphin House, after visiting another hotel in Moalboal before. This year we stayed for 9 nights over the Lunar New Years holidays, with the hotel being fully booked. Moalboal is not as developed as many other areas, thus protecting some original flavour, not being too touristic. The conditions for diving are great; this is true for the diving spots and for the offerings by Dolphin House with very supportive dive masters and good equipment. Dolphin House has a beautiful location and the whole area is well planned and in a very good condition - which obviously requires a lot of housekeeping and effort. Dolphin House is not a cheap place for holidays, but you get good value for money. We took part in one activity (Pescador island boat tour and Kawasan waterfall - great!) and the dolphin watching, as well as 2 times massage. If we have to make one suggestion for improvement it would be for dining; we did not always like the offerings for dinner, having to select between 1 Fish meal and 1 Meat offering and a vegetarian offer (which we never chose). The food was always fresh and well prepared, but we have enjoyed better taste before. Except for one evening we however decided to eat at Dolphin House since this is very convenient and the environment and atmosphere there is simply great.

Fantastic NAUI course stay”
I came to earn my diving license with Dolphin House and I must say- I chose the right spot! The facilities for diving gear and storage were great, not to mention the tutor I had. Lot-Lot was a patient and fun teacher and helped me pass my course with flying colours. The hotel itself was lovely and quiet. The three hour trip from town was worth it for the serenity of the place. You couldn't ask for a better spot to learn as there were sea turtles living right on our doorstep! Quite a distraction from learning, but a good one that has already given me memories to cherish forever and an urge to come back to Cebu soon. The staff were welcoming and kind, and the food was an interesting and varied menu each day. The only notes were that the wifi was a bit patchy and it was a tad hot in the room. But at this kind of remoteness, that is to be expected. I came to get qualified to dive, and got so much back. I couldn't have chosen a better place to do it and i'm glad I chose Dolphin House.

A slice of paradise..”
As the title indicates, this is a slice of paradise. Calm, relaxed and every need catered for. This is not a party hotel despite the happy hour in the bar, but ideal for leisure, diving and just hanging out. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the resort is very well kept with flowers, palm trees and narrow walk paths with relaxing huts for a sea view relaxing evening drink or even siesta. Diving certificates was achieved under great guidance and professionalism. The house reef (100m from shore) was like an private aquarium. Transport from Cebu city was arranged with private pick-up and worked flawlessly. We loved our time in Dolphin House and will certainly try to come back. Most recommended. Best regards - Wennborgs, Hurva, Sweden

A few steps away from an outstanding House Reef”
Dolphin House has one of the best house reefs we've seen. We found unusual creatures and interesting marine creature behavior on every dive. Giant frogfish "fighting!" Turtles in great condition on every dive. Sardines schooling. Squid, scorpion fish, nudibranchs, juvenile fishes (like a madly tumbling baramundi), really interesting diving. Excellent dive gear. Well managed dive center. No more than 20 minutes by boat to the most distant of many dive sites. And the chef at Dolphin House serves up delicious meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Staff were wonderfully good natured and friendly, helpful, really charming.

Dolphin House Resort”
We were two couples staying here, and they were incredibly accommodating and really wonderful all around. They arranged for a van to pick us up at 2am and brought us right to the resort in the morning, and returned us the same way in the evening we were leaving. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and a pleasure to be around. The rooms were very clean and quite comfortable, providing for all of our needs. The rooms were cleaned daily and were spotless when they finished cleaning even things I wouldn't have thought needed cleaning, but made that extra little touch in being impressed. Breakfast was provided for every morning, and the food was exceptionally good. They have a different special menu for afternoons and evenings, with a possibility to have just a main course or a full course dinner for different prices. All the food was exceptional and well made, with an interesting variety of types and styles and tastes. The scuba diving facilities are really well maintained and they have excellent and knowledgeable staff. They provided many different options for both beginners and advance divers, and they have their own house reef to explore if you just want to do some snorkeling. The spa facility is really nice and worth a couple of massage experiences with different choices of styles. White beach is incredibly close, for when you want to reach the beach. It's a nice white sandy beach with a coral base so there are some rocky/coral you have to watch out for stepping on in the water, but the turquoise water and the palm tree beach is gorgeous and a great experience, with some of the locals offering to get a coconut straight from a tree and provide you a drink with it for a price, or if you want beer or otherwise. Some will come by to offer souvenirs, but they are friendly and polite and not really pushy if you aren't interested. I recommend going during the week as it is the least crowded. If you are looking to get a bit more mobile, you can rent a sco

Beautiful,relaxing value for money ”
We had an outstanding stay at Dolphin house. Pros:This place has everything you need to relax in paradise. Beautiful crystal clear water, diving, snorkeling, pool, tennis and a lovely gym. Massage (expensive) Cons: restaurant overpriced, not near the hub but close enough by bike (4km) the restaurants in the area are non terrible but you can get take away and bring it back to the hotel from town if you are not keen to pay for the set menu. Over all this was an outstanding, value for money place to stay and would come back in a heart beat.

Exceptional”
Fantastic hotel near White Beach (Moalboal). Very friendly staff, great food, lovely rooms, pool, bar, sun huts. Right on the sea for great scuba diving and snorkelling. Fantastic dive center with great staff/dive equipment/boats. It was great diving with the team. Amazing sardine run dive from the boat. Short tricycle ride into town if you want more action. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

The best in Moalboal/Panagsama ”
This is the luxury hotel in Moalboal. They are really up to the kind of standards you can take a woman from Germany or United States to. The food is the best you can find south of Cebu. Grounds are beautiful, rooms are 4 Star, the dive shop is very professional.

A friendly beautiful place to stay”
I felt spoilt pampered cared for by more than attentive staff who seemed to know your every need. The resort is like paradise with lots of little areas to explore and delight in. Diving so good in what we saw, 18 turtles on the house reef alone, Mandarin fish and dive boats that are so good to dive from. The food was world class served at fine linen clothed tables. Plentiful and always the offer of more if you can eat it. Everything beautifully cooked and served and any requests catered for.

Nice Resort But a Bit Over Prices”
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was very good and it was always served with a smile. The dive center staff was very helpful and knowledgable. The diving was good but I've been to better places in the PI (Bohol, Dumaguete). Overall the resort is nice however I feel it is OVERPRICED. The Deluxe Bungalow we stayed in was prices at 7000 pesos for two. We paid the same for a deluxe Bungalow at Atmospheres in Dumaguete that was three times bigger with a living room, kitchen and TV. The Dolphin House resort is nice however it should be priced in the 3000-4000 peso range for two in a bungalow.

Super friendly , helpful staff ”
We went there for diving and the dive masters were very helpful, kind and attentive. The resort does not support whale shark watching in Oslob. The hotel owner, Rudy, was friendly and greeted us each day. Food was most beautifully presented and looked terrific. Taste wise was ok. Desserts were very nice.

Very peaceful”
Very peaceful and quiet hotel. Staffs are all very friendly and helpful. Provide a wide varieties of activities like diving, snorkelling, dolphin watching etc. 45mins away from kawasan fall. Hotel will recommend you licensed guide to do the trekking of kawasan fall. Everyday around 11am, sea turtles will come on shore for a short rest. Highly recommend to anyone who wanted a short getaway trip away from the busy city.

Beautiful hotel, good location and diving/snorkelling”
Good location, the water is very clear and easy to go snorkelling or diving - lots to see. However, when we arrived at 8pm, the reception was not open and the staff soon left. The restaurant only offered set meals, which were limited and 2x the price of similar food available in the town. When we went back to the room around 10pm, the air con was leaking onto the bed but there was no one to call so had to sleep on wet sheets. The air con was fixed the following day. After this, there were no other issues, and the stay was pleasant. Breakfast was good

Relaxing little place, nice gardens and good food”
I have a lot of respect for the owners, as they are very respectful to nature and you can feel that they are very concerned with the well-being of their guests. However, my believe is that, if you claim to be a 5 star hotel and you also charge 5-star prices, we can also have the respective expectations as a guest. Things that are in line with the 5-star rating: - Many sports-facilities, excursions, super-dive & snorkling gear - Reliable high-speed wifi - Nice relaxation area's all over the place, from the gardens to the bar and the entertainment area on top of the bar, which gives a unique view and where we spent our evenings to watch the sunset - Breakfast was super! Things that are not at a 5-star level: - Every day, staff has to ask you whether you want to stay in the resort for dinner (ja duh, not too much other choices). If yes, you HAVE TO choose the 910 pesos/pax menu (fixed entree, 4 choices for main, fixed desert). The first day, we luckily still had noodles and prepared them in our room with the water cooker. The second day, we kept our freedom by ordering one dish at 5pm in the afternoon (which is closing time for 'a la carte' orders). That way, we had our food a little bit before 6pm and avoided being pushed into consuming a full supper. - The room & room amenities... As much as we found the room 'cozy', it did not justify a 5.000+ pesos rate per night. The room is at a 3-star level (relatively small and also no TV etc...). The most disturbing was the noisy bamboo bed with a 10cm thick hard mattress.. (how can that ever be 5 star?) - Very old swimming pool, with a 'rusty' smell and salty water

Basic rooms but good service/friendly staff”
Not the type of place that should be listed at 4 or 5 stars. Common areas are very nice and the staff is super friendly but was disappointed with the room quality. Clean, but lacking high end furnishings, design, and amenities. Air con and wifi were weak as well. After staying at Dolphin House and seeing the places in White Beach, I recommend staying in nearby Panagsama Beach instead...you will spend less for similar properties and there are restaurants and shops within walking distance. You are a slave to the hotel/resorts in White Beach as there are few dining options.

Beautiful resort with some quirks ”
I stayed at the Dolphin house for three nights in May 2018. The resort is beautiful, but agree with many other reviews regarding the outdated rooms, bad WiFi, inaccessible and inconvenient front desk hours, and quirks with the restaurant (reserving dinner and lunch in advance, etc). What I found to be the oddest part about the resort was that, throughout the day, you would see the staff on the property eating in the restaurant in their uniform and they would hang around the property in their street clothes, be on the phone, etc. In all the hotels I’ve ever stayed at, I’ve never seen this. In college, I worked at a hotel and I ate many a meal sitting on milk cartons in the kitchen and I get that it’s not the most comfortable. I also understand if the staff lives on the property, it may be difficult to not be seen while they are off the clock. That said, the frequency at which this happens at the Dolphin House is awkward and makes patrons feel uncomfortable.
