Dolphin Beach Hotel is a wonderful place to visit although in need now of a little updating. Excellent service, cleanliness, and restaurant. We found the bed a little short for a tall person but otherwise, highly recommended. GREAT value for money and you can self-cater if you do not want to include breakfast in your budget.

Exceptional”
Dolphin Beach Hotel is excellent. Centrally situated with a restaurant and a pool. Hotel is right next to the beach with excellent views of table mountain. Hotel is child friendly and very accommodating. Very peaceful and quiet. I will definitely stay there again.

'very nice spacious rooms '”
we recently stayed at this hotel , the rooms are nice , clean and spacious , well secured free parking with access control , the breakfast buffet is ok but nothing to brag about . we enjoyed the dinner at the restaurant though .its nice and quiet very close to the beach , every now and then there's a fowl smell that comes from the lagoon, but otherwise its a nice hotel , we will return .

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. It was beautiful and the beach was amazing. The security was bit strict didn't allow the uber onto the premises but other than that it was awesome.

Great visit and location with a lovely beach right outside your room. ”
The room could do with some updating like the bathroom. The oven needed a new seal but was spotless and clean and worked. The laundry service is far to expensive and it would be better to offer rooms with washing machines within them as there is space in the kitchen where there used to be machines. The TV was good but channels not so much and could really do with being updated to come into the current century by putting a decoder/set top box in the room that offers more than 12 channels. Wifi is good when it works and keeps disconnecting from phones and IPads so you find yourself constantly signing back into the facility. I mean these are small things because the place is lovely with good restaurant onsite should you want to eat there. It is quiet and lovely as you hear the waves of you sit outside and in the morning while having Breakfast in the restaurant you over look the ocean and see the waves and ships as well as in the distance Robben Island. Great place to just chill.

Excellent Weekend break away”
Nice facilities but the weather did not play along so could not make use of the pool. As if this was stopping the other kids that had a ball of a time. The restaurant has excellent food and is catering for a wide variety of tastes, but seafood feature very prominently. Breakfast is buffet and very nice too. Staff very friendly and helpful. Maybe some thought planning should be given towards load shedding. We could not pay(with card) at the restaurant and the emergency lights did not kick on and we had to operate with candles. Must admit we enjoyed the forced 'romantic' atmosphere. Overall very good weekend and nothing to complain about. Well done, Dolphin Beach Hotel and Blowfish restaurant.

The hotel is great for family and the private beach even more better! the views at breakfast are stunning and the breakfast is quite good. Just wish there was a bit more variety for breakfast and that the cleaning ladies were nicer people. However, i'll definitely be back anytime I vacay in CPT

AIR CONDITIONING”
The place was fantastic, view was amazing, the food at the restaurant was lovely, however the living room had no fan or air conditioner. A place that was built in 1997 and has been in operation for over 20 years should have saved up enough money to either put in ceiling fans, bought standing fans or installed air conditioning. It was extremely hot the week we were there, the fans in the bedroom helped a little but I used my rechargeable hand held fan that sprays out mist to cool the room and make it more comfortable. We opened the sliding door and it was extremely windy that soon the lounge, our clothes and eyes were all filled with sand. It was not ideal to say the least. We will return if there is a change in the cooling system.

Just 2 observations and suggestion - put a little card next to the TV to advise what TV channels are available and on which channel. Advise guards in and boom not to scream at each other across car park so early in morning ...i.e 5am

Very comfortable large room. Very good buffet breakfast, Only problem was very limited TV channels. We were told on day we arrived that new decoders were being installed and would be up and working 2 days later. When we checked out on the 4 th day nothing had been done....very disappointing,

Great place to stay with the roar of the ocean always present. Pity you can't see the sea from ground level due to the dunes in front. Peaceful and quiet and great atmosphere. Close to all amenities and Bloubergstrand.
