simple yet comfortable”
i have comforts since the hotel is just near the SM gensan you may ride a tricycle then a few minutes you're in the mall. the hotel faces a natural beach where you can do relaxation. then if you may ride a tricycle you can have your city tour for just spending a few money. the life at general santos city is simple but it has a unique history. people over there are cool.

I really want this hotel to succeed. It's lobby was clean and modern. Elevator access is available. The white tiled floors added a bit of elegance. The free breakfast was a perk. The view from the upper deck restaurant was amazing. The staff were always friendly and helpful. BUT...the hotel is located behind an outdoor market selling chickens, fish, vegetables, etc. The market produces garbage. Garbage attracts bugs. Bugs go into sewage lines...connected to every structure next door. Ants, roaches, spiders and mites were able to enter my room through the drainage. The staffs solution to combating this was to use air freshener and a broom! I had to fumigate my room myself four times in a week. It should not be a guest's responsibility to do this. I am hoping upper management can invest in combating infestation and even train their staff better at pest control. I WOULD recommend Dolores Hotel only AFTER these actions are undertaken.

Nice hotel”
The room is very nice and big. CR is good and very clean. It is near public market, you can buy different kinds of fresh fruits near the hotel. Staff is accommodating. Free breakfast from 6:30am - 10am at the top of the building (5th floor). Value for money. Downside? at night from 9 pm where no restaurant near the hotel but you can ride a tricycle going to your favorite restaurant (McDo, Jollibee, Barbeque place etc...)

Affordable Hotel”
Pros: Its location is convenient. There are shops, banks, and the public market nearby. Staffs are very friendly and accommodating. Price is relatively cheap to other hotels. Cons: The hotel is old. Cleanliness is ok but not as you would expect in newer hotels. I found a mosquito inside my room. Selection of food available is not that great.

We booked for 3 nights in Dolores hotel in gensan but we stayed ony for 1 night,the staff were helpful and friendly but the rooms are dirty, we transferred to Dolores Tropicana Resort same owner of dolores hotel, and there we enjoyed our stay, lovely staff and a nice place especially if you are with young children

hotel service is okay and the location is superb. however, the Miss Moccha Cafe at the penthouse of the hotel needs renovation. the cafe is dirty, old and dilapidated. because of this, i opted to have my meals delivered in my room. On my last day of stay, the food tray that was delivered to me with the food had rodent droppings. it was disgusting which confirmed my impression of the cafe ancient and dirty ambiance.

Nice location with local market nearby”
I passed by GenSan and stayed for a day. The hotel was just ok, my gf requested them to clean again the CR cause it wasn't up to her expectation and they did. Staff was of course very friendly and accomodating. Except for the market, hotel location was a bit far from everything else...

City Centre, near markets”
I always like staying in the center of the city. the hotel is next to a big market, so always plenty of fresh fruit.It can be noisy there at 5am in the morning. The staff were lovely and helpful. The hotel old , but ok. The hotel does not have a restaurant and does not give breakfast , which was a problem finding in the mornings.

Nice Location and friendly staff”
The Hotel is decent but old. At least, the elevator works so getting to the upper floors is not a problem. The reception staff is friendly and helpful. They allow credit card payments which is convenient.

quiet comfortable, but during my stay they were doing some maintenance in the hotel and it was quiet noisy. They even have a restaurant on top of the hotel. the food is not good at all. Other then that, nothing much to say about

the room was bare. try giving it a nice look by putting on paintings or pictures. also, always check the tv if they are ok. It is disappointing when those small things can't be fixed.

Only thing wrong was the air conditioner did not work well, it was low on Freon, as it froze up due to low Freon charge...
