Beautiful little hotel - very quiet and relaxing”

We loved our whole Chiang Rai experience, and the hotel was an important part. We don't have high demands and we don't need luxury, we just want a comfortable bed, good showers and air-conditioning so that we can relax and recharge for the next day's adventure. That's exactly what we got at the Diamond Park Inn. The bathrooms were awesome for the price of the room and the beds were firm. The A/C worked great and the kids loved the pool to cool down after a day of elephant riding, boat trips or hiking. The short stroll to the night bazaar made the whole thing just perfect. They are our favourite in all of Thailand because there are lots of culturally interesting items (we found the coolest hand batik) and the vendors aren't pushy. We'd recommend this little hotel to anyone looking for a budget base to see the sights of northern Thailand.

Perfectly acceptable rooms in a good location”

We were only at Diamond Park Inn Resort for a quick overnight stay, so we didn't get a real sense of the place. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were fine. We arrived at the wrong hotel initially, because there are two hotels in Chiang Rai of the same name (Diamond Park Inn and Diamond Park Inn Resort) and the staff kindly drove us from one location to the next:)

Very Polite and Corteous Staff”

The Hotel is 15 minutes walk to Night Market and Old Bus terminal.Breakfast buffet is very tasty. Standard room price is very reasonable and the hotel service is fast.Housekeeping is doing a very good job in maintainning the cleanliness of the room. I will definitely stay in this hotel in my next visit to Chiang Rai.

2 nights in Diamond Inn Resort”

My husband and myself were at Diamond Inn Resort with our children who played a golf tournament in Santiburi. The hotel was perfect for this purpose. The price was good, good early breakfast. The kids enjoyed the pool after the tournament. Rooms were clean and fine for our purpose. We will come back again.

Clean comfortable night stop”

Flew in to Chiang Rai for a nightstop. On Agoda this hotel resort offered a reasonable rate and looked good. The swimming pool is nothing like as large as it appears in the photo... But this did not matter. The premises are on a quiet back lane, and there are several guest houses along the route into town. It's not far, a small back gate leads to a lane with an easy walk. There's Cat 'N' A Cup coffee shop nearby where you can share your time with 26 moggies (cats). The rooms were clean, the mattresses comfortable, and the televisions old. The breakfast is good though there was no muesli. All the normal things to eat plus some pastries, but the tea is weak.

total luxury”

by chiang rai standards, this is expensive. but you get what you pay for. the breakfast, both thai and america, is delicious. rooms are luxurious, and ythe location is very quiet even though the hotel is located downtown. no noise, no cars.

Convenient Location”

Diamond Park Inn is very centrally located being just a short walk from the night bazaar and the centre of Chiang Rai. It is by no means a luxury hotel but has the basics of air conditioning, hot water and a comfortable bed. It is good value for the budget conscious travelers.

Good value for short stay”

This was my first visit to Chiang Rai and the hotel was within a 10 minute walk of the city centre and taxis and Tuk Tuks were available within a few minutes on request. The rooms (we had 2 outer block rooms) were of good size with comfortable beds. Good sized bathrooms with the usual Thai bathroom design that means the floor always gets wet. On this occasion shower over bath with no curtain, No room safe and only Thai TV. Only minor items. good sized vanity area with lighting for the ladies, plenty of wardrobe space. Hotel itself was a bit more like a business venue, quiet in the evening no bar area that i saw. Pool area was very nice. Breakfast was average again typical of these medium Thai hotels, hotdog style sausage eggs and ham, cereals, fruit toast etc all buffet style plus choice of asian dishes. All in all a reasonable place with no major faults and good value for money.

Diamond Park Inn?”

1.When we first walked onto the grounds of this resort, carrying our luggage,there were no signs as to what resort this actually was. We had followed GPS directions to the address and it took us in from the back. We stopped at the reception area to ask staff who were standing outside, if this was the Diamond Park Inn. 2 of the staff pointed down the road which runs through this resort and said "go outside". So we followed their direction, walking aprox 5 min and came to the end of the driveway and saw a big sign at the entrance to this same resort which read: "Diamond Inn Park". So we walked back to the reception area and showed our copy of the reservation. Then staff was immediately helpful and invited us inside. I think it would be helpful if staff in the reception area know the name of the resort!! 2. The doorway to the bathroom of our room was shorter than standard, but there is no warning to "watch your head" in any language. So, my husband who is 180 cm tall, hit his head on top of the doorway several times as he entered the bathroom. A posted warning would be appropriate.

Nice hotel”

Diamond Park Inn is a nice place for any traveler type. Just 10 minutes walking distance to famous Chiang Rai night market.

Perfect as expected”

Be careful, there are two diamond park inns close to each other. Only 10 min walk from each other if you do get it wrong. 10 min walk from almost everything, very good, staff very helpful

OK for a night”

The best things about the Diamond Park Inn are the location (central Chiang Rai), the pool and the breakfast. The room itself was just OK. While there was a flat screen TV in the room, I could not find any English language channels. There was an electric water kettle, but no coffee or tea. I had stayed here last year, and the hotel provided "3 in 1" instant coffee to guest who requested it, but I was told that this was discontinued. The bed itself was too hard for me. Also, the doorway to the bathroom was very low, and I had to keep ducking my head to get into the bathroom. This could be dangerous in the middle of the night if you are tall.

Nice room, location and food are good. it's not so far from Night Bazaar Chiang-rai No lift if you are 3 floor is not good for you to carry your languages.

Nice Pool”

The location is excellent if you want to be in the center of Chiang Rai. Easy walking distance to bus station, restaurants, massage, and tour agents. Breakfast was adequate, but not fancy.

NIce hotel”

good and clean resort with great swimming pool. the hotel is situated near the night bazaar. hotels breakfast is common ,western and thai food. the room is with common equipment . the hotel include travel desk (not daily , available on phone from the reception) asian way tours tel:this agency provide amazing trips ,for example golden triangle , long neck , trekking and etc. i have to say , the tourist guide attitude was excellent , good english . the guide was very educated and willing. our trip to golden triangle was a a great experience i can recommend this agency .

Very nice hotel in a good location”

Diamond Park is a good hotel for the price you are paying, plus point is the pool, that a lot of other hotels other than the 5 star hotels don't offer. Very good central location, 5 min walk to night bazaar, eateries, and 10 min walk to gold clock tower. The airport is a 15/20 min drive in taxi which is more widely available in C,R now. Staff good, breakfast ok. Rooms very big with good design. Tucked down dark long road with dogs at night-the only down side.

Basic hotel with good location”

Room were basic without any luxury, but did not include safe. Safety deposit in the reception would have cost 5000 baht (deposit). Location good, close to Chiang Rai night market and bus station. For westerner, breakfast was disapoinment; all food planned for chinese people.

great pool area”

diamond lodge has a wonderful feel with lust trees at your window friendly staff, very good breakfast, maybe a few more tourist brochures would help the first time traveller to Chiangria. It is also close to a wonderful restaurant called Baan Sabaijai

Great place”

we enjoyed our time in chaing rai because we had comfortable accommodations with a great pool. it was easy to walk out to lots of excellent restaurants. i did rather wish there weren't so many stairs.
