Find hotels near Dalaguete in Cebu, Philippines

This is a wonderful resort at a truly bargain price. The staff are superb - extremely friendly and helpful. Drinks by the sea, a beautiful pool, friendly locals who love to welcome foreigners. WiFi in your room, good air conditioning - a little piece of paradise at a bargain price. Folks should be aware that the resort is two hours out of Cebu City. For me that is not a minus, because the city seemed a little rough for my taste. Dalaguete, on the other hand, is a sweet city with all the flavor of the Philippines, but you feel safe walking at night. Also, the hot water pressure leaves something to be desired, but for this price you can't go wrong. I stayed two weeks and I hated to leave. I will definitely return when I am in Cebu.

Loved everything about this place! Clean rooms, bathrooms (but small hehe), comfy bed, nice parking (very secured), amazing staff (even if we arrived at the middle of the night, the lady from the front desk was still very nice and accommodating). And also, I like how they brought us coffee and hot water for drinking in the morning. We did not even ask for it and that was very sweet of them to do. Hehe. ❤️ Thank you very much! We wil definitely stay with you again! ❤️

* The description says the resort is in the municipality of Dalaguete, but that is on the other, eastern side of the island. It is actually located in the municipality of Ginatilan, on the west side of Cebu Island. * The location and the sign out front say “Sunset Beach” but there is no beach. It is a rocky shore over which the owners have built a high cement retaining wall. There is fortunately a cement walkway down to the water, but it’s difficult to swim at low tide (no problem at high tide). * I saw no sign saying “Ginatilan Beach Resort.” * Staff were friendly enough but knew nothing about our arrival (I had reserved a room on agoda.com). They referred all questions to the owner who lives in Talisay, Cebu. * Staff prepared a very nice Filipino breakfast for us in the morning (included in the price).
