So we went to the nearby store to eat, which is a lot cheaper. During our stay it was quite noisy because of ongoing construction, smell of paint and a nearby piggery is also present but bearable. Frequent power outages also. Bar strictly closes at 10pm. They will turn off lights on you even if you still there a paying costumer and have some drinks left. This is where i was disappointed. Asked for them to fix transfer for us going back since we have children with us it would be convenient, but the manager simply said to find a ride on our own on the port. Stayed 28-31 July. Hope this helps the resort and other booking travelers.

the beach was nice, peaceful coz we went their on weekdays, many people said if weekends the beach are very crowded due to the beach are open to all, even outsiders not stay (from Avila Horizon hotel). the rooms were quite good and clean. the Staff were friendly. My only concern was, when we arrived the hotel at 3:00PM, they not yet prepare the room that we reserved (2 rooms) we're waiting almost an hour, and we were very tired from the trip.

They said that the island experiences brownout regularly. They should have their own generator or at least inform guests of possible scheduled brownout especially that their place is always sold out. We experienced 3 brownouts for the two nights that we stayed there. Also, their water kettle must be upgraded. They gave our two rooms with one water kettle each and both have a rust inside and the one will not turn off once the water is done boiling so its not functioning properly. Bartender is on day off and no other bartender available to do the drinks so their regular kitchen staff is the one mixing drinks and doesn’t know which type glass to serve the drinks. At least they could have trained their other staff if ever their bartender will not be available to serve. Apart from that, the staff are friendly and accommodating. Clean room and clean beach.

A BIT FAR ..”
Hotel was okay, clean, and peaceful away from the crowd. Serves good food. It’s also beach front. But the hotel is REALLY FAR from the city/port, very isolated. No phone signal. You have to take a habalhabal to the hotel and back to the port. Choose Avila only if you want to be away from the crowd.

Im inlove with the beach view and is one of the best beach front for me.. The area is clean and well maintained, the place is not crowded, so if u want to relax with ur family, this place is a must visit for me.. I LOVE watching sunsets and sunrise.. Will definitely stay here again.
