Exceptional”

Wonderful relaxing time at crystal bay yacht club, older facility but clean and comfortable cottages, had a garden view cottage very spacious with large comfy bed, wi fi good in all areas.Directly on the beautiful silver beach and close to both Lamai and Chewang. Talay beach restaurant has yummy food and drinks, all staff very friendly. rented a scooter through resort with no problems. My only suggestion to staff were they need to sort the problem of people hogging sun lounges by the pool, very unfair to other paying guests when people are placing towels then going out for the day and demanding that they belong to them by doing this selfish and rude practice. Would highly recommend and will be staying again when i return to Koh samui.

A fabulous place ”

What an amazing resort! We loved it, kids loved it, even grandparents loved it (we were a big group). Rooms are very big, very spacious. The place is clean and quiet, the beach is breathtaking. When I booked the rooms, I read reviews saying that the garden view rooms are little outdated and haven't been redecorated like the beach side villas. It's true but it really didn't matter to us. Yes, we didn't have a flat screen TV but does it really matter when you're in a place like that?! The hotel staff were very helpful, kind and caring (we left behind something in our previous hotel and they did their very best to help us retrieve it). The restaurant staff, not so much. Some were actually quite rude. The restaurant has amazing food but rather expansive (hence the 4/5 stars for the facilities) . There are lots of lovely places to eat just outside the resort, on the main road. I do, however, recommend Crystal Bay yacht club. We were there for 6 days and loved every minute of it.

Great Value and Good Location”

The staff at Crystal Bay Yacht Club Beach Resort were very friendly and helpful. Our Villa was clean, but the air conditioning did not function very well. We had to run it continuously to keep the room at a tolerable temperature. If we visited during the hot season, I don't think the A/C would keep up at all. One oversight is that our Villa did not contain any sort of directory of the resort's amenities or services. This made it difficult to understand what was actually available on the property. One other thing I would mention is that outsiders are allowed on the beach. This sometimes led to a crowded beach and not as private/secure of a setting as we would have preferred. Overall though, the facilities and bar area were very nice, especially considering the price. If you need any sundries, we'd recommend leaving the resort and going to the FamilyMart located right outside. The nearest 7-eleven is about a mile away. Be aware that if you use Grab, you will likely get a costly taxi.

Crystal Bay Yacht Club is located on a beautiful part of the beach in Koh Samui. The bungalows are a great size and clean. The shower is separated from the rest of the bathroom by a divider so you don't have the typical Asian wet bathroom floor. The restaurant is a little pricy for Koh Samui, but really well priced for a resort. Restaurant staff are very friendly, switched on and speak english well. Thai massage is offered on site overlooking the beach for a very reasonable price and the masseuses are very talented. As someone in the fitness industry who has spent a lot of time and money on physiotherapists, myotherapists and masseuses (in both the western world and Asia), Ticha, Dai and Noi know what they are doing. This shows as they are busy all day long! There isn't too much walking distance from the resort but we rented a scooter to get about, and also booked our trip to Koh Phangan via reception. For anyone who needs to work while they are travelling - as we did, the internet at Crystal Bay is reliable and as fast as you will get on the island. It seemed to be a great place for families with younger children, and we could take our parents there and they would be comfortable. Definitely would return. We are a mid-30s couple who work remotely and travel regularly.

Luxuary at affordable prices”

The yacht club and resort are at opposite ends of the same tiny cove. I stayed in room A1 at the resort (beach front view). Superb room, modern, clean, aircon and still private., a smaller number of rooms with kind, helpful and interested staff... I switched to the yacht club due to unavailability of my room and was a little let down by the garden view room... A bit like a mini suburb but still great value for money... Upgraded to room 603 (sea view) and WOW! Sooo beautiful, softer bed and a hair drier! It was 1/3 more expensive but worth every dollar.. Either place is perfect so long as you choose a beach view 😉 5 mins to either Lamai shopping/food or chewing mega shopping & food.. 50 baht if you catch a tuktuk taxi as they drive by... Happy holidays ✅

Paradise”

Koh Samui is a very family oriented island, but staying in Crystal Bay at the Yacht Club was our own little piece of paradise. As two young backpackers, we didn't really meet other people like we would have liked, but it was the perfect place to relax and catch our breath. The yach club offers you beautiful facilities in a stunning landscape.

Hotel itself is conveniently located just of the main road, so it is easy to find. it also located 10 mind motorbike drive from lamai. Hotel itself is amazing, everything from a quick check in, friendly staff and some if the best views. If you need to rent a motorbike you can contact front desk and they will give you price menu and have bikes delivered to hotel fast. We stayed at beach front villa and it was probably best spent money for accommodations in Thailand. Villa was spacious and extremely clean. Bathroom was clean and spacious as well, and the shower worked perfect. Villa we stayed at looks exactly like in the pictures. A small deck area in front of villa was amazing as you could lay down in one of the chairs and enjoy the view and few cold drinks. Beach around the hotel was clean and definitely not many people around. A restaurant within resort was absolutely amazing. Everything we tried from the menu was some of the best food I've had. Prices of the food are slightly on the higher side, but when you combine that with quality and the view you get, I think it's definitely worth it. Service we received in restaurant in my opinion is probably the best we had in Thailand. Next to restaurant is also a massage available, good quality and prices. There is so much more I could write about this, hotel but I will say it's definitely worth visiting and am sure I will be returning when in koh samui again.

samui yacht club was a great place to stay, lovely clean bungalows on or near a beautiful little beach. a great pool right on the beach and bar, breakfast was fresh and very good, meals at all times of the day and everything cooked well. walk out the front of the resort , turn right and next door is few taxi drivers based there, a man called, blah is one of these drivers and we used him daily for our trips around the island. an absolute gentleman.s here and you will love the laid back atmosphere and friendly locals.

Rustic Wonderland- A real gem”

My wife and I spend 5 comfortable nights at Crystal Ba Yacht Club. Our room (104) was huge super clean. Excellent air conditioning and a more than adequate bathroom. (Nice hot water in the shower) Room serviced daily good linen and towls. Exterior of the cottages and some areas of the garden need attention hence the ''rustic'' comment. Breakfasts were a feast. Great setting on the beach full english breakfast with all the basics served fresh (loved the fruit) and in a friendly manner. The pool was clean and well patronised by the hotel guests. (If there was a niggle it was that certain guests reserved lounges at breakfast and appeared at midday to use them) Massages were done at a good rate by experienced staff while listening to the waves breaking on the rocky below you. Who could one ask for more. We had one lunch and one evening meal at the Crystal Bay restaurant but found it a little expensive for what was on offer. A short walk away we had other options. All in all a real gem.

Koh Samui Yacht Club”

The Yacht club was well presented and the rooms of above average. Well set on the beach and very central to Chaweng and Lamai. The staff were on duty 24 hours a day and responded to any queries quickly and efficiently. There was a great Little Thai restaurant just a few metres down the road that had the best Thai food, great prices and cheap drinks. They make a fabulous Mai Tai and the Pad Thai was the best I have ever had

We had a very nice stay at the Crystal Bay Yacht Resort. Especially the location stands out as it is located at one of the most beautiful beaches of Koh Samui that reminded us of the Seychelles. Acommodation and Breakfast was well too, we advise to choose a Hillside Villa for great views of the Beach. If you are searching for authentic Thai Cuisine nearby definitely visit Kawins Restaurant 10 minutes by foot away.

2nd time ....lucky? ”

We really enjoyed what was our second stay at the Yacht Club, the rooms are great, the gardens and beach are stunning. One complaint however is that the resorts restaurant has now been branded to 'Rock Salt' and is a lot more expensive then it used to be and also a couple of times a week they only serve a Buffet and BBQ so you cannot order from the menu. Take the time to walk out of the resort for 2 minutes and there are plenty of places that sell food and drink for a third of the price.

We have stayed 2 days in the crystal bay yacht club and then we wanted to stay 2 days more so we booked at the reception for the villa with sea view. It was very very nice! Like on a postcard. The location is perfect, far from the noise of the center.

Situated on a beautiful beach , large comfortable rooms good breakfast . Suited for those looking for quiet relaxed accommodation . The lively areas of Lamai or Chaweng are easily accessed by Taxi . The are some good restaurants in walking distance as well as the hotel one . Water sports aren't offered on Crystal bay beach but good for swimming .

Beautiful setting, large bungalow, delicious food”

We celebrated our 25th anniversary for 8 days there and have no regrets. The garden view room (although we had a view of the ocean too!) was spacious and the bed romantic; the bathroom was huge with a tub and separate shower; and we had a frig and large TV. The resorts' grounds are beautifully laid out and the beach is perfect for sun bathing and swimming. They also have a salt water swimming pool and a fabulous restaurant, Rocksalt, that serves buffet breakfast and delicious lunch, supper, and drinks. The staff were helpful and cheerful. We definitely hope to go back next time we go to Koh Samui. From the hotel we rented a scooter to skirt the island, went on a snorkeling trip, ate at other restaurants, got massages, and there are other things to see too now that the island is more developed (we visited 10 years ago). We felt we got more than our money's worth.

Most beautiful beach in Samui”

Beautiful beach, crystal blue water and nice and shallow for the kids to play in, sand was perfect for sand castles. Resort is lovely, nice restaurant, great choice at breakfast and a lovely pool to cool off in. By far my favourite beach on Koh Samui ( and I used to live on the island). Will return here every visit.

So peaceful and dreamy”

Crystal Bay resort is the quintessential Thailand Boutique Resort. Not too big or small, with traditional, quality villas. The garden is so beautiful, with very old trees and many different species of plants, and a stream with fish, that winds through the garden. The staff are very gentle and polite people, assisting you to their best ability. The beach is like you are in a tropical heaven and the pool is large and warm. Best facilities, best service and best price”

You cannot usually find a resort with definitely 3-star room rate but with 5-star facilities, services and exceptional accomdation experience. This resort is located a bit far away from Lamai but it was Ok for peaceful family journey. You can easily catch taxi, tutu beside the road in front of the hotel with a fair fare to downtown area. The beach is really wide and clean and the swimming pool was put with the ocean sightviews. Our room was clean in Thai style, also a small yard will be a plus when you hoped to catch up outside in rainy hours. Absolutely I shall take a revisit if came back to Samui for holidays.
