Great hotel if you know how to ask ”
Pool was available for use 24/7 which was just wonderful. You can swim just before going to bed. The buffet breakfast was great too it can keep you satisfied until your next meal. The hotel dont replace soap, shampoo, water and dental kit on a daily basis unlike other hotels but you can request for this so this wont be a problem. Huge beds. Coffee/Tea making facilities is not available. You can request for the water heater pot and just buy 3-in-1 sachets. Great service too. Staff are courteous. They come at your door within minutes if you need anything. One of the best in Puerto Princesa. Some tricycle drivers tend to overcharge if they know you stay at Asturias.

Asturias Hotel over the Years”
I have been staying at Asturias Hotel since 2009 when it is still newly opened. I love the facilities, and the very private ambiance. Recently, I stayed for 2 nights but I have to say that it has changed. Facilities deteriorated, maybe the rooms in the "new building" are better. Cleanliness needs attention by the Housekeeping Manager, although it is tolerable still. I am expecting the wide selection of food in the Buffet Breakfast, as before. I satisfied myself with 2-3 viands of same food on the 2-night stay. I have to say ASTURIAS is having a hard time competing with the new players. Nevertheless, in terms of value for money, I still recommend this.

Very nice hotel in a great location”
This was our first time to Puerto Princesa and we a very happy that we chose this hotel. We plan to return again in the future and would suggest to everyone to stay at this hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of the mall but also in a quiet location. The only complaint would be that they did not pick us up at the airport as promised via e-mail and would not reimburse us for the tricycle ride to the hotel.

Good location by town proper but lots of bugs and booking van with them not recommended ”
As soon as we walked in to the hotel, the staff gave us the warmest welcome with glasses of refreshment in hand. They let us check in early and even told us we got upgraded because the room we requested isn't available yet. We walked into the room and it didn't look like any of the photos here. The room and bathroom looked a bit older - making us wonder what our room would look like if we weren't "upgraded." In the middle of the night, my husband woke up with 4 mosquito bites on his face with one of his eyes swollen. We also booked our van transportation to El Nido for 6:30 pm on the day of our check out and got a call at 5:30 while we were at a nearby mall saying our ride was there. We weren't ready and did not expect the driver to wait for us. We got there at 6pm and got in with angry passengers thinking we made them wait. We were mostly confused why we got picked up an hour early when we clearly said the time and did not even have a comfortable ride as the van was also very full.

Nice hotel with friendly staffs, but need update”
hotel provided free airport pickup that we did not even know. once we landed, a staff has already waiting for us at the airport. staffs are super friendly and nice. we have no complain at all. from the outside, it looks modern and new, but the inside need some update, especially the bed. the mattress is too firm for all of us, and the bed frame makes those high pitch scratch sound to the floor on every turns while you sleep. the water heater in the bathroom was not working in one of the two rooms that we stayed. we probably will try centro next time if we go back to palawan. they are within one block to each other. we are satisfy with the hotel mainly because of the staffs.

My first visit to Puerto Princessa ”
The Asturias is a comfortable and, for me, a well located hotel. It is showing its age somewhat but still ok. It is good value for money. I would probably come back

Excellent”
Very happy with our stay. Room was clean, comfortable, and sufficient. Priced reasonably too. Staff was very considerate, offered to shuttle us to places, which was helpful since it was raining and with infant. My only complaint was when we checked out, they offered to shuttle us to our next resort but when we were ready to go, there was no driver. The front desk lady kept on saying he’s close by and on his way back but we ended up waiting close to an hour but still no driver. Our next resort ended up picking us up instead.

Would not stay here again”
Sayed here twice just because we booked ahead of time and were in Palawan for 5 days. Stayed the first night here and then stayed somewhere else for 2 nights because we prebooked some prepackaged tours and then came back to Asturias for the final 2 nights. Both rooms were old and uncomfortable and there were issues with hot water and we had to call maintenance. Also the locks on both doors were problematic. On one the inside handle was about break off and the other would not lock into plac when you closed the door without messing with it a lot. We discovered that midway through the stay so there were times when we left the room and it wasn't really locked. On top of this the front desk staff was not that friendly or helpful. There is no shuttle to the city so you have to pay for a tricycle. There is however a shuttle to and from the airport that is free. Unless you get a great deal I can't really recommend this place. Breakfast buffet was not that great either.

A better choice to stay! ”
Let me have it in three aspects: THE STAY- Worth my money; they provide a transfer from airport to the hotel but what is commendable is their service of offering a short tour in the town for the visitors to have a better view of the city and what it offers; comfortable rooms; simple meal for the breakfast; and super great wifi. THE HOTEL- the hotel is just walking distance to the nearest hospital, fast food chain and commercial malls; but try not to walk at night for your security. The staff are quite ok; maybe try to make more client interaction and welcoming ambience; but sadly, my room is quite dark and somewhat spooky ahahaha. The pool is great; the breakfast is just ok and simple, nothing exciting. THE GENERAL- a must try and recommended for stay. Hope you find the hotel a great place to stay

overpriced”
Asturias presents itself well, the facade, entry, lobby and restaurants are nice. As almost a norm in Phils, the staff is kind and attentive. Location is good, 10 mins walk from Robinsons shopping mall (the only real mall in PP) and about 15 mins by trike (40 peso) or "multi-cab" (20 peso) from downtown. Positive things stop here. Swimming pool is just ok. The real disappointment was room with worn out, old furniture, paint detaching from walls, decayed tiles, totally kaput bathroom, no windows except an opening to the pipe trunk, no refrigerator, no safe box. Boring breakfast with buffet limited to filipino style breakfast with rice, soup, one side dish, eggs, fruit, bread/ensaymada and butter/jam. Expected more. Overall, taking into consideration the quality of the room, the hotel is highly overpriced.

Poor performance”
I booked two rooms, one standard with two beds and one upgrade to a king size bed. There are no King size beds in any of the Asturias Rooms. Also the water in the shower does not get hot at all mostly lukewarm at best. The standards bedroom came with no hot water and no shower curtain. I asked to get another room and had to pay 500 peso's to get one. This hotel was a disappointment. After eating at the Sangri-La in Cebu the previous day, this hotel had less ammenities than a Motel 6.
