Lakeshore Hotel Yilan
Yilan City,Yilan - View on map
"A nice, modern, clean hotel with very good service, professional staff and a very nice breakfast buffet with a very large selection of things. Obviously this is a good hotel for families with small children - they even organise special parties for them. However, the location of the hotel, though calm and nicely laid out, is terrible. There is absolutely nothing around the hotel, not even restaurants. You will have to take a taxi ride (10 minutes) down to Yilan."

Yamagata Kaku Hotel & Spa
Jiaoxi Township,Yilan - View on map
"We have been staying 3 nights at the Yamagata Kaku Hotel & Spa. Steven and the hotel staff have made our stay magnificent. It is brand new hotel with all commodities, fitness center, spa and restaurants. Guess rooms are spacious and each bathroom has large hot springs bath. Seldom we have been welcomed as we have been in this hotel. Mark has kindly organised a whole day hiking trip for us to visit the best of spots/hiking trails/waterfalls in Jiaoxi/Yilan. I would deeply recommend the Yamagata hotel for the dedication and kindest of the staff made towards the guests. I wish all the deemed success to the Yamagata Kaku hôtel & spa"

Ispavita B&B Resort
Jiaoxi Township,Yilan - View on map
"Very impressed with this boutique hotel. It's a hotel rather than a B&B and had underrated themselves by naming it B&B. In Yilan, you either stay at Jiaoxi for the thermal spa (I recommend) or close to night market at Luodong (There are much better ones in Taipei). This ISPAVITA was the best hotel of the 5 we stayed in Taiwan, and we selected on Agoda ratings 8 and above. We didn't see any good offerings from Airbnb in Yilan. ISPAVITA is the choice, without doubt. The thermal spa in the room (the Raingo room) is large and great for a romantic night and very relaxing. With just 3 rooms a floor it is a rather private place to yourself. Only downside, not much view, some faint noise of construction a street away in the late morning."

LOYA HERB ART HOTEL
Luodong Township,Yilan - View on map
"The location of the hotel was great as it was within 5 - 10 min walk from the Luodong Night Market. Even though we only stayed for a night in the hotel, we were pleased with the quality of service and the clean room that was provided to us. One drawback of the hotel is that there was no proper cupboard for us to hang our clothes. Nonetheless, the room was clean and the complimentary breakfast was great! Having free-to-use laundry services was also an added bonus for our stay. Overall, we'll recommend Loya Herb Art Hotel to our friends who will be visiting Luodong/Yilan."

Lakeshore Hotel Suao
Suao Township,Yilan - View on map
" It was the perfect start to a girls weekend with my best friend. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was beautiful even though we got the most basic one, and the cold/hot springs were the best I have ever experienced in a private setting. They pipe the waters directly to your room and your skin feels so wonderful after a nice soak in both tubs. The bathroom gives you an excellent view of your surroundings but also privacy to enjoy yourself. There is also a beautiful infinity pool and outdoor hot spring tub for you to enjoy on a fine day. Nice little special touch was the front desk advising you ( and printing out on your key card envelope) the time of sunrise the next day as they have an excellent reading room where you can view it with a cup of coffee in your hand. Breakfast was one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever had at a hotel! I would strongly recommend this place to anyone travelling in the Yilan area. "

Hostel Tomato
Jiaoxi Township,Yilan - View on map
"The hostel has a problem with black mold (even in the dorm beds you will face it) & with stinking pipes. The hostel design is nice, but there is no warmth or atmosphere whatsoever. Most of the staff (? acquaintance of owner) just bluntly stare at you, but without a smile, not even a short hello/nihao, which makes you feel awfully awkward and uncomfortable. (The cleaning girl was nice!). The dorm is a box, which is alright if you stay 1 or 2 nights and if there are max 2 ppl in there. The breakfast ist nice. In the afternoon the common room is dark/ cold and seems to be shut down from electricity… kitchen WiFi wasnt strong and the entrance area (tables, light) is always occupied by staff/acquaintences mentioned above. There are much more welcoming hostels in Yilan County!"

But we enjoyed hot spring in the hotel room was nice experience in Yilan! Thanks!"
