When I first got there, they upgraded me. I was excited the room was beautiful high off the river, great king bed. Well the TV didnt work and the loo was used and not cleaned. I went back to the desk and was given the smallest room they had. And the washroom just the same. I was so disappointed I left the first night crying. It was wasted money. My friend made me go back and try to enjoy it. So we slept the day away ate at the Hard Rock Cafe across the bridge. When we got back to the room, I decided to enjoy the patio but was interrupted by hotel security throwing a teen in the hallway. And they stayed there for 30 min. Police showed up and took the teen away. But GEEZ 341 dollars for 2 nights, I'd expect better. I also had the ac on and it was 40° and I was still sweating in the room. The day of check out I stripped the bed for the housekeeping, and by heck the pillows were yellow. Fluffy but yellow. Oh and the hallways made me feel vertiogiunous. Oh well, now I know better.

Traveling alone with my son and we were greeted by very friendly staff. My son was in heaven the minute we walked in. The room was very clean, small but expected as the building is older. I had read a lot of reviews and I was scared to book this place because of that. I am HAPPY I didn’t pay attention to that. The bathroom is small BUT clean!! Not sure why their was so many complaints about that. My son loved the pool, their were a lot of families so I felt very comfortable. At my sons request (he insisted I write a good review) the bar burgers are the BEST!!! Ladies at the bar were very sweet and took very good care of us. Make sure you look up water taxi times online-they can take a while to get to that stop. We decided to walk along the river and rode back to hotel on the boat-fun ride back. We WILL be back! It will be our to go place when we are in San Antonio.

The Crockett Hotel should be the first and last place you check out if coming to San Antonio. Located just two blocks from the Alamo, it could not be better situated. The neighborhood is completely walking-friendly at any time of day or night. I had a small queen room, which was just fine for my purposes on this business trip. The bedroom and bathroom were extremely clean, and included a Keurig! The bed was very comfortable with full-size pillows, and I love that there was an extra blanket in the closet. The FULL breakfast was the big seller for me--lots to choose from hot and cold. And the price was much better than other nearby hotels.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were very pleasant the entire time. The bell boy RJ was superb and very accommodating. There was only a few things that may need to be changed and those are free WiFi for ALL rooms, microwaves and refrigerators need to be inserted in the rooms, other than that you’ll love it here and I’m a hard critic when it comes to reviews.

Hands down the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. We were greeted by Sarah and Matthew who were some of the kindest souls I have met. They made checking in and unloading a breeze, which is a huge statement because I have two toddlers under 2 y/o. I’ve seen reviews of people complaining about the (optional) $30 daily valet parking, but I would much rather prefer having our car parked somewhere safe and also having the opportunity to come and go as I please. The breakfast was delicious. For sure the best hotel breakfast. I’m not a morning nor a breakfast person, but for the first time ever I was eager to get up to early to eat their breakfast. The hotel is beautiful. You can literally look at the Alamo as you’re downstairs eating breakfast. And of course the river walk is right down the street (about 2 minutes walking distance) Great location, great service.We have annual Seaworld passes, so We’ll be staying here every time we come to San Antonio.

Beware : Customer service service can be poor. I’ll explain : I had booked a room for 3 days but was not able to arrive on the first day as my plane was stuck in Chicago due to poor weather. I sent a message to best western customer service and the hotel management asking if it was possible to refund the first night. I arrived the next day and was told at the reception that my first night would be refunded but that the entire booking had been canceled as well (and refunded). I had to book once again (and hence spend additional money since the refund takes some time). I thought it was ok since my first night would be refunded as well. I got a message a few days after stating from best western customer service informing me that the hotel had denied to refund the first night. I do not mind that my first night was not refunded as the hotel is not responsible for my plane delay. I do mind when I am being lied to and when a mistake is done on top of that (full booking canceled)...

we left an item in the closet, called about item after leaving and call was sent to housekeeping. Nobody answered and we were promised and email back with information of said lost item but email never received. We have called 5 times since July 2019 and nobody can say if our item was ever found and no notes on any of our previous calls. Today we called to check again just in case and turns out they don't keep anything after 2 months.. bummer! expensive tailored blazer lost due to horrible communication

The location is outstanding. It is less than a block away from the river walk and only a block away from the Alamo. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It would have been nice if they had parking, they said there was a public parking lot a block away but you had to pay every time you came and left. The hotel valet service was $29 per day, not including tips. There is a small rooftop pool and great views of the city. We booked 3 rooms at the same time, the one I had was larger than the other 2, and had a view of downtown while the other 2 had a view of the brick building next to the hotel. The rooms were clean. I would definitely stay here again.

We were their for a couple of nights to take in the river walk and Alamo, this hotel was an ideal base for us as just a hop skip and a jump from the Alamo and very short walk to the river walk. The rooms were comfortable, clean and roomy not that we spent much time there as there is such a lot to see in San Antonio itself. Finished off the evening in the bar with a delicious Margarita served by lovely bar staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Drury Plaza Hotel on the river walk in San Antonio. It is a beautiful building with lovely large clean rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfasts and late afternoon "kickback" food is delicious, and the facilities top notch. The roof top hot tub was my favourite, and my husband enjoyed the gym. I would definitely book this hotel or others in the chain again.

it is a wonderful location situated on the san antonio river walk within easy walking distance of the touristy san antonio down town area. you can walk to the alamo and many other attractions. there are literally hundreds of restaurants on the river walk so you are sure to find something you like. on the other hand the westin itself is dated but for the price i paid it should have been much better maintained. the room had a mildew smell and considering the dry climate of san antonio i have to wonder why. after speaking with others about the hotel they had the same comments, dated and poorly maintained rooms. the pool is small and in the summer (the time i went) it was busting with kids of all ages and doting parents. just to add to the expense of staying there, parking (in and out) is a whopping 30+ a day and no free wifi. there are plenty of parking spaces and a parking garage across the street from the westing that charges 12 dollars a night. i should have done this the first night. however this is how the big name hotels seem to work, the more you pay the less you get. and such is the case here. no real contact with the help except to park the car etc. and they were very helpful but under staffed. mini bar prices are huge but you can find a cvs near by and purchase wine and beer there are also some liquor stores around. all i would not stay there again, there a so many other hotels to choose from on the river walk.

There was a nice arrival, no delay in service, we asked for first floor and there was no problem, I travel with both my parents, room was clean, nice just how is expected. I use the gym, equipment new and great facility. breakfast was very good, sharp and friendly. No need to checkout since payed from agoda. A corner store is within steps, and a Jack in a the box too. Great location. Do not expect to look for the same best western logo, is different. Agoda, please Picture it for better ubication.

Can't stand when these hotels are not upfront with a customer. Booked my hotel, paid for it and thought I was good. Next thing you know, I had to pay for parking as well and since I stayed there for 5 days, I had to pay 80+ bucks. Nowhere did it mention on the website that I had to pay for parking. That's just wrong. Location is good though. Close to almost everything downtown.

The hotel decor is a little dated but has new appliances. This hotel is a great value for the money. 2queen beds suite with sofa bed that sleeps 6 for 100$ plus breakfast and an ok dinner and drinks, I don’t think you could get a better deal. The rooms were very clean, beds and pillows were comfortable (Comparable to best western beds) staff was very friendly and seem like they were really focused on making customers happy. Although the dinner was nothing great it beats spending the extra money$ to feed 5.
