"Facilities are slightly dated but what one would expect to find in a major metropolitan area. Quiet as not stick construction and solid. COVID malfunction has hit them all and if one wishes to nitpick yes you can however the building is not inexpensive to maintain & amazed at rates considering what I paid on previous visits (this year) to the area. Believe the establishment has just re-opened after a short financially-related COVID closure and are trying to make a go. The only word is ‘obtuse’. 4 Star facility (easily) in terms of the ‘bones’ however given the region, upkeep etc of competition they lose. The facility could be dropped in the center of nearly any metro while the the competition simply could not. SLIGHTLY dated furniture but others would have older and say ‘rustic’. Internet solid. Rate competitive as hell as of early September 2020. "

"The overall hotel was a great deal especially with the money you can end up paying when riding or skiing. However, when I tried checking out the morning of March 16th the gentleman at the front was beyond rude. He referred to me as "homie" and me and my girlfriend as "ya'll" along with other ebonics/slang that is commonly used by African Americans. I could tell that this was not his normal vernacular because every time he would use a were similar to ones I mentioned, the younger gentleman that also works there would laugh. After a minute of this he clearly switched to his normal vernacular as he was finishing up checking me out. I do not know if his intent was malicious but I was deeply offended and will not be returning. Unfortunately, its just one of those things that it's tuff to put a pin in. I didn't even realized what he was doing until I reached my vehicle. I'm sad that this was part of my first experience in Salida because I know they have far better to offer."

"Reviews I read were good about this hotel so I didn't mind paying a little more than surrounding hotels. But, when we checked-in the stool had not been cleaned. The desk clerk was apologetic and came up clean the stool. The older lady serving breakfast was rude, consistently. She was older so it everyone gave her a pass. The other hotel employees were very nice. I was told they were painting rooms on the first floor so I assume the 2nd floor where we stayed will be updated because it needs it. All in all it was OK but not for the price."

"The hotel is nice and in a convenient spot. The owner is quite a short tempered sort. I had a trailer and he seemed to miss the point that I am a customer. He did accept my money for me and my car but then seemed angry that I was going to need to take up some valuable parking space."
