We always choose to stay at Atlantis whenever we are in Reno. The rooms are clean, spacious and usually have a nice view of the city lights at night. The indoor and outdoor pools are great recreation and easy to access from the hotel. Best of all is the Toucan Charlie Buffet with a delicious variety of authentic ethnic food. If you go on a weeknight for dinner, the cost is reasonable enough.

But your security guards are directed to discourage this. Look dudes, I go to Reno to party. Turn the rooftops into controlled viewpoints so I can linger with a coffee/drink and have a smoke. Kick the teeth out of some thieves that abuse the system, but I have no priors and don’t even want to see something that looks remotely like a cop anywhere near me when on vacation.

First time to Reno in a half-century after constantly going to Vegas. IMO Vegas is now toxic, too crowded, can't walk streets because of homeless, topless woman wanting you to pay for pictures and low lifes. If found Reno to be a small town relaxed atmosphere. Felt safe everywhere and no crowds. Very clean hotel and surrounding streets. The Roxy was the hit restaurant. The Spa room on the 18th floor was large and great.

Wonderful one stop shop for eats, gaming, clubbing. Went there to spend a long weekend with long time friends. Was pleased to be upgraded to a Suite at the Tuscany floor. Wonderful activities during Halloween. Their club is hip happening. We did go downtown Reno to check out the scenes and gaming. A bit older downtown compared to the hotel area by the Airport. Peppermill is definitely a cut above the rest of the casinos in Reno. Spa was great too. I spend several hours for a massage and nail treatments. The spa center was clean and upscale. Included shuttle service to and fro the airport. Plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes within the Resort. The Peppermill was recommended by a friend who has been there prior. Did not disappoint. Great for a fun long weekend. Try it. Cheers.

The Sands is one of the older hotels in Reno still standing and surviving from its golden age. It is from an era that was less “Burbank“ and more “Hollywood“. There are many little tips of the hat to Dean Martin and the Rat Pack around the hotel, and despite its age, it still holds some nice charm. The superfluous red curtains and gold trim in the room were a very nice touch, reminiscent of an older very different kind of Biggest Little City. The room is clean, and even though the pipes were a bit creeky, the water pressure was fantastic. The cleaning staff is generous with the amenities and the view from the 12th floor where I was staying was a wonderful overlook of downtown Reno, which glows beautifully at night. I stayed in a non-smoking room and never got the slightest hint of smoke, which was appreciated. The buffet is one of the smaller ones in Reno, but the staff was very nice, and professional, and they don’t pressure you at all to leave at closing time. A+ on the value!

The hotel portion of the casino was excellent and the staff very helpful. I received a good value for the money. But and this is a big BUT, maybe I'm just old and out of date, the taxes and fees that are charged on everything in a resort area just blows me away. The reason I do not give 5 stars was the hotel said I received a credit for not cleaning the room the first day of my stay, but the staff would come in and make sure the the room was stocked. Never saw anyone my entire stay and had to call housekeeping just to get some room coffee. Nice hotel, close and convenient to most things Reno.

Very convenient to Reno airport. More than adequate room. Clean, but once I was put in a room with a pet bed and I did not request a pet room. Fortunately, I am not particularly allergic to pet dander, but those rooms should be reserved for people with pets. Doors should be marked more clearly, so you know which one is closest to your room from parking lot. Front desk staff very accomodating and helpful.

I should have payed more and got the deluxe upgraded room. This room, King bed upstairs, its pretty good size, clean, but the T. V. is like one of the first flat screens made the picture is fuzzy with lines and dots thru it and the remote dont work, so annoying. The decor is hideous and the dusty rose paint is an eye sore, I try not to pay attention but its all around every wall, hard to find my zen & chill. The bed, well is what it is, and if I wanted a 5 star hotel casino most comfortable luxury bed, well nvrmind this is not that. On a nicer note nice mircowave and lil fridge. This room overlooks the pool luv that. A pool towel would be nice tho, as the room has only 2 regular size towel, 2 hand towels, and a wash cloth. The pool is fantastic, clean, and the water perfect temp, not freezing cold, and the stairs extend out so my 3 yr old son had room to splash around. Location great everything with in walking distance, mall, shopping, food, casino, and mini golf which btw the most unique and FUN mini golf I have played, just down the street. Anyways if u require a more high maintenance cant go with out luxury bed and ect this might not be to liking and if u can careless and its btr than 4th st then perfect get the deluxe i recommend.

We are a family of four two parents a teen and a baby. We asked for a non smoking room and got an awful smelling room. The cigar smell was so strong it kept us coughing through the nigh we had to open the window to let some fresh air in. You can imagine with a baby that was not great. They actually charge your card for the deposit and you have to wait for that refund to come in. I am still waiting. There is a breakfast area on the third floor according to the front desk but we were never really told where exactly it was located so we never found it. The location is good close to freeway, microwave and coffeemaker available but I would not stay here again.

The rooms were a solid 4 stars except for the small and old TV. These rooms would be $150 a night in any most cities, very nice. Buffet is good, use the 2 for 1 coupon that comes with the room. Hash House 24 hour restaurant on the 2nd floor was pretty amazing. I think they have the biggest portions of any place I've ever been, seriously. Other than that - well, it's Reno...

The hotel, less than 10 minutes from the airport, is right off I-80; you can see it from the highway. It is adjacent to residential areas, so the only restaurant I can see from the hotel is Denny’s, a block away. It is 10 minutes on foot to the edge of University of Nevada, Reno, where I attended a one-and-half-day meeting, so it is convenient for me. The room has basic furnishing, and it’s nice to have a long but narrow desk for laptop. The bathroom is clean, but has only soaps, no shampoo. The room needs some updating: it still has a bulky CRT TV and the complimentary wi-fi is intermittent. This is because my room is too far away from the router, as I have to go to the lobby to get consistent connection to wi-fi. The lobby has complimentary coffee. Thus, my scores are 4 for the convenience for me, 3 for the room, and 2 for the wi-fi.

I was breastfeeding and heard a knock on the door at 9am. Thought it was my husband so i try to get up quickly..while covering up incase it wasn't him. Before i could reach the door it was being opened by a staff member asking me if I'll be ready to leave in a hour. So rude and unprofessional to just open the door at a early hour when check out at noon. Rushing me to leave when i had to wait a hour more to get my room. Check in was at 3 and i didn't get a room until 4pm.

Reserved ADA guest room / confirmation received had detail of full breakfast. Room as booked / full breakfast? Not there. Room worked very well for my needs ADA? Parking spots filled by vehicles without ADA placards displayed. Arriving to find this / one member of the group I was with mentioned to one of the people with non compliant vehicles - informed they had managers permission to be parked there. Spoke with Front Desk (manager?) - asked “what did we want/expect them to do about it-they were tired”? Next day all the mentioned cars had parking placards (not like ADA placard I use? Just printed? Not a good choice for guests needing ADA adsistance
