I loved the lions, wanted to book horseriding but it was not available (but advertised), family suite is just one big room with 2 double beds, 1 bathroom. Too cramped, my kids are 8 & 9. The room was not cleaned very well- still dirty carpet. The play area for kids is great, the gym is ok, pool & spa great.

The stay at this hotel really was a treat. Excellent staff and facilities. The room was great value for money - crisp white linen and snow white fluffy towels. Décor is a opulent and adds to the Moroccan feel

If I was not on a tour, I would have stayed for days there. The receptionist know how to handle customers. And the foot massage machine wow wow after a long drive to Polokwane. I really enjoyed myself there. The price of the content in the bar fridge is reasonable and yes I finished the bar fridge.

Valued for its price . But some improvements are still necessary. Towels in the bathrooms , better TV channels than what l saw there please for relaxation. I could not locate the swimming pool .

The place was great and really well kept, but one almost feels they trying to save water because at certain times there just isn't any water or the water flow out the taps to bath is just so slow you cant take a good enough bath.

Swimmimh pool was not clean and aircon not working. The staff is friendly thou.

Great staff although disappointing stay, cleanliness was a bit aweful. Definitely not a place I'd call value for money.

I've been visiting a lot of lodges and hotels lately but trust me Protea hotel has been the best this far. Me and my better half have enjoyed our stay l, the staff is very very friendly and we felt more than welcomed... they have reached beyond my expectations and I'd visit again soon

The staff was warm and friendly, they made us feel "home away from home" The room was clean and had all we requested. Location was excellent, close to malls, gym, Peter Mokaba stadium. The place is quite wonderful for the money that you pay. Clean nicely sized rooms and a very polite and helpful staff. The lady, Thelma went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable. Place was spotless, staff really helpful. Only negative is the rooms were VERY small & my tv in room 5 kept loosing channel. I would stay there again.
