"Following a less than favourable stay in Beckley on the way south 6 weeks before, we were very pleased with our stay at the Morgantown Quality Inn. First, we were not misled by the website to thinking that the hotel was 'pet friendly' when it wasn't - this one advertised it was and indeed it was! The place was clean, obviously well-kept. Great value for the price. The Beanery restaurant next door was also a welcome bonus as we didn't have to go out to find a suitable place to eat following 11 hours on the road. We recommend the hotel and the restaurant!"

"Living room + Bedroom at this price was a surprise to us. Right in the heart of the action and close to the university, but away from the party scene/older neighborhood on the other side of campus. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Morgantown!"

"The hotel, the room, the pool, the front desk staff was amazing. Breakfast was served in to go containers and was extremely good. The beds were awesome. However, a member of the cleaning staff knocked on the door and asked “my granddaughter” why it smelled like marijuana was coming from the room. First let me say no one was smoking anything in the room, second when a teenager answered the door, she should have asked if the registered occupant was available and should not have asked a child something like that. Lastly, she should have asked if there was any kind of odor in the room, that she noticed one in the hallway. If she truly believed that a room with 1,2 and 3 year olds being watched by a 15 year smelled like marijuana after asking about an odor and realizing the room only smelled like babies, she should have involved management and let them ask the registered occupant about it. We had only stepped outside to smoke a cigarette, we’re not gone 10 minutes and returned immediately when my granddaughter called to let us know what happened. When we asked to speak to the manager, we were told they were not in. I will go out of my way to speak with him to educate his staff snd train them to address difficult issues professionally. At the end of the day, every member of the motel is a representative. I would have gave 5 stars, had it not been for this. I will say there was an odor in the hallway. To me, it smelled like matches do after they are lit and put out. I’m not sure what it was but it didn’t smell that way inside the rooms and none of us had matches, only lighters. Which we used outside. We had 3 rooms and none of them had any order. We even went out of our way to take the diapers to the outside trash can. As you can imagine, I’m not happy with the issue or how it was handled. "

"Loved the room, design esthetic, very clean. Bummed the restaurant wasn't open on Sundays and Mondays great value, will stay again. "

"My family and I reached the hotel late at night and it was raining but the receptionist was very welcoming that time and he helped me through the whole process of registering to my bed in a breeze. The parking it's a bit hard to find when it's dark at night but there's ample parking spot, which is great cause I don't have to fret over reaching the hotel at night only to find out that all parking was taken and there's no more space left for mine. "
