"Good point: The staff members were friendly and informal. On the flip side, it seemed that the owners were new and the inn was being repaired and remodeled. ㅇThe room assigned to me had not been cleaned. It was in disarray, and it seemed that quite a party had been held there. That did not make for a good first impression. When I reported the condition of the room, another was given to me immediately. (The new room had a bad, but not unbearable, smell to it at the entry way.) ㅇThe business center area was not working. The computer was unplugged. Apparently, the wiring was not sufficient to run the business area and the front desk at the same time. The staff happily let me use the front desk computer to check email. Overall, it seemed that the inn was a work in progress, not yet ready. In that condition, it was a disappointment, so I could not recommend it, but if things have since improved, it could be a nice stop in the Monticello area. There is potential there."

"It was rated a 2 star, but the reviews were high, so I stayed here. Walked in and room had an old, dated smell to it. Furniture looked like they got it at a thrift shop and was all scratched up. One lamp was missing it's on/off button. Smoke detector hanging from ceiling and there were flies in the room (I have video). 1 pillow had another person's hair on it. The matterss sank and didn't have a cover over it. Perfect for bed bugs. The sheets and pillows looked old. I could also hear the conversation and snoaring of the people next door (I have video). Next door room shower sounded like it was going to blow up. I will never stay here again and question how they've had such high reviews. "
