The Idyllic Resort is one of the nicest hotels in Koh Lipe. The resort is located at the south end of Sunrise Beach, with one of the best snorkelling areas right in front. It is clean, modern and beautifully landscaped. The beach is fantastic with the longboats anchored nearby but not right is front of the resort. The staff is very friendly and overall the service is great. The restaurant offers a lovely breakfast buffet and a variety of a-la-carte options for lunch and dinner. The food is excellent. We stayed in the very large and quiet "I-Comfy" room (#501) and it was perfect!

So we are travelling through Asia. Philippines. Vietnam Malaysia Thailand. We know we love Thailand having been here many times before. We decided to route through Langkawi then Koh Lipe on route to Koh Lanta. We booked into this hotel for two nights unsure on what the island had to offer. The ferry from langkawai was pretty grim as the boat had poor windows and no outside seating but soon over. Customs and immigration was an island experience! Once done into hotel. Hotel is clean friendly and a prime location on Pattaya beach. Yes the beach is busy but not in a crowded way but nice bars hotels boats etc. Pool overlooks the bay. Hotel had all you need from a hotel and a short walk to walking street. Plenty of restaurants local food. Western food and usual shops and massages. Think mini phi phi. But from the side opposite the ferry’s and no McDonald’s. !! We walked around the island and decided we had the best location and hotel. So the big problem ,,,,,,,,,, We are still here ! We want to explore other islands before Koh Lanta. But keep deciding why move when everything we love is here. Currently at 7 nights and still no plans to go. Reception have got used to the request. Another two days please !

It was last minute trip to Koh Lipe from Hatyai. I booked Sweet Deluxe Room for 2 nights.Staff pick up from pier,so you dont have to worry about shuttle at all. Requested for a room with partially sea view and they did arrange me for that. Room was spacious and comfortable,although it quite old,but i guess it was the best room in koh lipe. One matter cant be solve,it was too much mosquitoes at night ! Maybe because the room i stay is near to the mountain side.Hotel prepared anti mosquito spray for it. Walking Street is just nearby by walking pass thru the beach. Strategic location for US that hunting for foods and convenient stores nearby. Just inform the receiption what time is your boat off and they will arrange free shuttle to you to the boat stop.Overall,Bundhaya is worth for everything. We had a very pleasant stay here. If there's a chance we back to Koh Lipe,will de definitely back here again. Thank you so much for the arrangement ~

Having stayed on Koh Lipe in 2008, we were a little unsure of what to expect as the island itself has had very mixed reviews over the past few years. It has definitely been developed a lot since we were last there but only as you would expect from a Thai island catering for the increasing volume of visitors wishing to find that island paradise, and paradise it still is. Serendipity resort is an absolute gem on the island. It has so much charm and is tucked away with its own little beach that only guests really use. Each room is essentially a beautiful wooden treehouse, staggered at varying levels on the side of a hill. The hilltop rooms are a fair few steps (approx 140) with the sea view rooms around 90 to 100 steps up. This definitely kept us fit! Breakfast is served on your balcony each morning which is a real treat! All the staff were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us during our stay. We were moved to another room for 2 nights as the AC broke down, but a new part was ordered and promptly fitted within 48 hours, bearing in mind the electrician and parts have to come from the mainland. Another nice touch to Serendipity is that all the extras I'm sure many resorts charge for (Snorkel gear, kayaks, beach mats, games) are all included. Overall we had an amazing time staying here, and cannot wait to return when we can next afford it! Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful holiday. i stayed for 2 night at the bungalow deluxe and evrything was fine and nice. nice bed, clean toilet. it is quite near to the koh lipe walking street, the only place u can find cafe, bar and shops... just few minute walk from resort to the walking street and the resort is just beside the immigration office. by the way the staff name Bella was so friendly any problem can go for her. there is a cafe name Bloom cafe must try!! their coffee was very nice, owned by two young lady, one speak chinese very well another speaks english very well. thai pancake was another must try food in koh lipe. yummy snack, try on with cinnamon sugar~ delicious...

I had been in Koh Lipe twice, both of two journey, I chose Sita. first trip, last March, it was my honeymoon, i was so impressed the nature of Koh Lip and also Sita. Though the receptionist could't speak English well enough, I felt so comfortable to ask when I needed something like service or meals. The buildings were made in traditional way and suit the nature. so I went Sita again, and I was back to Korea just yesterday. This time, I bring 6 of my family, from teenager to senior. Now, All of them, are fall in love with Sita just like me! the rooms, were not recently made, but clean ans well managed. the meals, were not various, but simply good enough and suitable for from child to senior. the pools, were not big, but well managed, from 1.5m to 1.7m and also have a small place for children. the beach, beyond words. the best of all is the smile of Sita. Everyone in Sita gave me a shy and warm smile while i had stayed.

Memorable we were on honeymoon and this was the perfect place to stay.The beach is 20 meters away and is lovely and windy.Nice sunrise. Windy at night, but best beach by far in Koh Lipe. Not crowded, beautiful for snorkelling and relaxing.The standard of the bungalow was great, with a really good bed. The cleaning were not so good. We had to tell the reception when we wanted the bungalow cleaned and that was fine. The breakfast was good. It's located at a walkable distance (less than 2 minutes) to Walking Street and in front of the beach. Staffs are friends.They had the massage services by the beach side The only issue is the WIFI is not stable during our stay, there's some problem with the server. The service was also really good and we will definitly stay in Wapi next time we will go back to Lipe.

This might just be the nicest place to stay in Koh lipe! We arrived by ferry and was greeted by a driver that helped us through immigration and the drove us to the resort, they gave us a warm welcome. This place is VERY well kept, the grounds were flawless, our room was spacious and very clean. The food at the restaurant was probably the best we ate while in Koh Lipe, and to eat out on the deck high above the beach overlooking the water was breathtaking views. They have a private beach with shade and chairs. Not many people. You can snorkel from the beach, the water is shallow and clear. I for sure will stay here on my next visit!

We were a couple from Malaysia who booked Castaway at the beginning. However, due to the unpleasant stay which had a lot of mosquito for the first night, we planned to move out for Cabana for the second night stay. Rooms are clean but don't expect like those international 5 stars hotel. Staff was helpful to help us to move in from Castaway. Cons: The hotel is not huge as Castaway Resort. So it does not have Restaurant or Cafe for us to sit down to enjoy the view from the Koh Lipe Sunrise Sea. Therefore, we order our breakfast through a set of menu given by Cabana and staff will send over to our room. On top of that, we have our lunch at Castaway as the food is SUPERB! Would recommend Cabana if you just want to have a simple, nice and comfortable resort for your stay in Koh Lipe. :)

Why you shouldn’t choose Asara as a hotel ! Firstly, the staffs are sooooooooo friendly and attentive to your request. They literally replied my Whatsapp msg in 10 secs ! Secondly, the resort is so clean, big and comfortable until we almost missed our boat to snorkeling. Luckily the staff arranged the pick up at our resort’s private beach, so we made it Thirdly, free shuttle service to wherever you want to go, we saved a lot from there. And guess what? Waiting time for each pick up was about 5 mins. Last but not least, Asara has a clean and quiet beach for you to snorkel. So these are the reason why you shouldn’t choose Asara for your holiday in Koh lipe, so when revisit to Koh Lipe, I still can stay there (at least it’s not fully booked) 🙆🏻 Thanks Asara for giving 10 star hospitality ! Will definitely stay there again !!!

Every place in Koh Lipe is "overpriced", so when reading Lipe hotel reviews I suggest ignoring this frequent comment and just understand that prices are high here due to supply and demand. We've been to Lipe twice and stayed at 3 resorts, this one is our favourite. It has a pleasant layout, nice clean wooden rooms with A/C and a friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is not bad (not great, but better than other places we stayed, fresh eggs, some bacon, toast, fruit etc), and the food overall is pretty good and not too expensive. Some things to be aware of, the bathrooms on each room are not fully enclosed, private but open air, so some mosquito coils come in handy. There is a 350m walk to the walking street, and at night a flashlight is a must. When the tide switches there is a current running parallel to the beach. This is not a big problem at all, but if you've gone out for snorkel and are trying to swim back, you might need to come ashore a little further down the beach than you entered rather than fight against the current. Fins are helpful. This hotel is on Sunrise beach, it's quieter than Pattaya beach, and we preferred it.

I found some crazy reviews before this booking. Please read my review if you have some concerns about the resort and island. Those negative reviews are unacceptable from my perspective. I feel very sorry who had hard times in this place and resort. Do not go to Koh Lipe Island if you have problems with nature. Mosquitos, flyers everywhere on the island. Island is very tiny so resorts have not big spaces and lands. You will also live in bungalow on tiny island so please stop complain about roster crowing, sea waves and other peoples walking or their talking. I am also very sorry and disappointed whoever brings trolley luggages. I saw 70 kgs trolley luggages who are trying to drag it on the beach. Dear traveller friends. You will have minimum 2 boat trips and minimum 2 car transfers until the island. Please show your mercy to your self and do not bring those luggages to the islands. Save and take care your back, thai speed ferry staff, hotel staff, Car and bus drivers. The hotel staff and island locals are amazing. They are all smiling and we found them very friendly. I also founded coldest beer in the town just right next to hotel on the beach. Vibe bar is coolest beach bar i've ever seen with dream catchers, lights and music. Magical atmosphere and stuff. Satun Dive Resort, located right on the beach with amazing location. Close everywhere. Yo do not need to wash your face. Just get out from resort and dive in. Get some cocktails on your back to your room. Best holiday ever. Simple, cozy and positive. Thank you Satun, Vibe and Koh Lipe.

Me and my bf we were just overly satisfied about everything the resort staff have ever done for us. The service is undoubtedly the best thing we have to mention. We had troubles to buy tickets from Lipe to Krabi due to a off-season situation but soon we found problems solved by thoughtful staff and the lovely girl from the reception. Everything was perfectly settled. Besides, things I love most about the resort would be its location and food. The sunset beach is rated as the worst beach on the island when compared with pattaya and sunrise beach but we just hold the opposite opinions. This beach is way quieter and more private to have an intimate stay with your partner and the sunset there you can see is just killing it. Having meals on the cliff and enjoying a massage at their massage centre are highly recommended. During our stay, Natalia, the cute dog adopted by the resort staff came over for several times which brought us lots of fun. I guess Sawan is just the best you can have in Koh Lipe.

We stayed 2 nights at RM150/ night. During low season - Apr to Sept i think -drop off is at sunset beach, which require to take tuktuk to go at 50baht per person. there is a short cut however (turn left and pass by wooden houses to reach the main walking street (7eleven) but there is a small slope if bring with luggage. (high season drop off at Pattaya beach which is walkable) Room - pros - good and clean hotel, free snack and yogurt (for 1st day only), free water bottle 500ml 2x daily, with window and sunlight, spacious bathroom, cold aircon, with hairdryer, receptionists are helpful to give information - cons - need to give 500 baht deposit, shoes to be at ground floor, a bit noisy at night as it is near to mali bar, Location - beside walking street (main street in koh lipe, beside hotel is mali bar, below hotel is patt mart (sell many things) and a food stall (sell somtum 40baht and rice with egg etc)) - near to everything ie massage, food, beach, travel agent shop etc.

We enjoyed our stay here... a great location on Sunrise beach for snorkelling the islands and/or organising a boat and just a few minutes to walking street eating places (our fave was Noy Wangcha-Aon). The pool was also a big bonus as not many hotels have one on Koh Lipe. Villa was nicely appointed and spacous even with extra bed. Only negative was the breakfast menu which was ok but a bit limited and not that special, it would have been nice to have some pancakes on there!

After reading the reviews for Zanom, I really expected various things to go wrong, but we ended up having a wonderful time. The resort, as said by others is rustic and people who are after a sterile environment should not stay there. Beach bungalows are lined up so that only the first one in the row overlooks the sea and the rest of beach bungalows are behind, so they only have a view of sandy front yard. There are also garden view bungalows in the next line. We booked a beach view bungalow via Agoda and given the resort had vacancies when we arrived, we got upgraded to the only sea view bungalow the resort holds and the resorts holds exclusive right of selling that one via their website only. The bungalow was just as it appeared in the photos I've seen on Agoda, for the beach bungalow. I read some people were saying there was no hot water in the shower. We had no problem, there was as much hot water as desired. The bathroom has a small unit on the wall, next to the shower, with a button, where people can adjust how hot they like their shower water to be and use it straight away. The problem might have arisen sometime in the past, or during dry season when the resort operates in the full capacity. My impression and recommendation is to visit this island during the wet season as we did, because there will much fewer visitors at the island (and still there are more visitors than, in for exaple Koh Samui or Koh Phi Phi in wet season) and everything would be available just like during dry season (although I also read that we would find a few restaurants only open during wet season, which is totally incorrect, everyone is working in the wet season as well). The main problem is that online weather forecasts for any island in Thailand, if looked at during wet season will show rain all the time, once you arrive to the destination, there is no rain, this was the case with us at Koh Lipe as well as last year in October with Koh Samui. It was an excellent stay! Booked a standard room for a night but we were instead upgraded to a bungalow. Located right in front of the pattaya beach, takes a walking distance of approximately 40 seconds walk to the beach although our room was located at the end. The staffs on the other hand especially the luggage boys (?) were really friendly, they would greet us and wave a hi whenever we were in their sights. Not to mention, the hotel provided us sincere and friendly taxi drivers too, as compared to the ones on the street which were all very money-minded. The taxi drivers brought us to a beautiful stop at the sunrise beach, no short-cuts or laziness but just plain sincerity. The hotel is also located 3-4 minutes walking distance away from the Walking Street. The only downside of this hotel is perhaps the inconsistent water heater. Other than that, everything is perfectly great! Definitely value for money. Would love to stay at BV in the future if I ever visit Koh Lipe again :)

I booked at kathalee initially for 4 night but ended adding a 5th one . This small resort is located at the very end of sunrise beach, and enjoys a beautiful quiet little creek. Most of koh lipe beaches are full of longtails boats so it’s really appreciated . Perfect place for snorkeling and kayaking or just laying on one of their sun beds . This hotel is run by a very nice thai woman , always friendly and helpful . I read here and there some bad comments about a German guy being in this place ,rude sometime and unfriendly . As for myself I met a very nice guy, from Germany also , very concerned about the coral reef and the damages that can be done by some tourist and even customers . Can’t believe it was the same person :)

I was very impressed by the staff, as they took really good care of us. starting with picking us up from the pier to dropping us back there. Tour was quickly booked and we received all answers that needed. It was clean and close to the sunrise beach, which is all we wanted. Don't expect too much as hotels in koh lipe in this price range are not as outstanding as you might know from other places. I gave value for money and facilities 4 stars even though I thought the price for a 3 star hotel was too high. However, in general accommodation in Koh Lipe are more expensive than other islands in Thailand. There were no facilities similar to many other hotels in this class in koh lipe. therefore, the rating is relative to other accommodation options in koh lipe. But overall, I can definitely recommend the hotel mainly because of the very friendly staff.

We arrived in Koh Lipe and a staff member was waiting for us at the pier to transfer us to the hotel even we did not request it which is valuable. Then we arrived at the hotel and the check in was fast with very welcoming staff. The hotel location is just perfect for a chill and the diving lover will be please since they have a diving school with international staff. The restaurant has a great view on the clear blue sea and the food is very delicious. The beach was clean so it was a real pleasure to chill there. The bungalow was up to standards and no complaint could be raised. The shower only provide cold water but you are in Thailand and personally I prefer take a cold shower after having sun bath. Overall very good experience and will go back there. Maybe one small thing to adjust, the access to the bungalows sometimes in tiny due to lot of bush around the path. If you can make it a bit clearer it would be appreciable. This remains a detail. Good job guys.

(-) I booked Garden View room for 3 adults because the room description mentioned "2 single beds and 1 double bed", but during check in found this room had only 1 double bed, and had to pay 800 baht for an extra bed. (+) The staff was super friendly, and I really didn't mind paying the extra 800 baht, it was worth it. Room has towels despite description in agoda mentioning no towels. Room has Coffee/tea maker (jug kettle), perfect for family with children. The location is a bit off Walking Street, so, it is quiet, no noise from bars etc, we had a good night sleep there. The pool was clean, although we didn't go in (who goes to swimming pool when in Koh Lipe anyway?). Did I mention the staff were super friendly? Would definitely go there again during next visit to Koh Lipe.

It was a short 3d2n in Koh Lipe. Even it is not a luxury hotel or resort but Koh Lipe has definitely exceeded my expectation. Firstly, the location is just along the walking street where we can get almost anything we need just a few steps away. The room is very clean and the bed is a king size bed which is super comfortable. After a tiring day out to the sea, a comfy bed is all we need. The only downside is when there is a new pub open on the second night we were there and the music is pretty loud but bearable. Lastly, the owner is also very friendly and helpful to arrange taxi for us to the immigration. I would definitely come back to stay in this lovely hotel.

Our stay at The Noi guesthouse was great, the staff is incredible and go out of their way to help you, from taxi ride to anywhere on the island, to helping us with our multiple questions and requests - and we had the best Thai food on the island at Noi. Location is perfect as you are in the center of the island and every beach is accessible so you're not limited to one of them - made our stay more fun since Koh Lipe is a very small island. The staff is always smiling, warm and welcoming - the rooms are clean and there is a cosy "chilling area" upstairs - we wouldn't stay anywhere else on Koh Lipe!

The hotels is very well priced and well located. It is located at the end of walking street towards sunrise beach so you are near to practically everything. First of all, Walking Street, where all the restaurants, shops ans massages are, are right just behind the hotel. It is a short 3 minutes walk to sunrise beach and about 8 minutes to Pataya Beach. It also provides excellent value too for a hotel in Koh Lipe. All the rooms have wi-fi, an in-room safe, air conditioning and a hot shower. The sheets, and pillow cases are crisp, white and clean. One of the best stays in Koh Lipe for that price range!

Hotel is right very close to the sunrise beach and away from all the big party places. 40 metres walk away is a walking street and near hotel is very good place called OMG. Staff is friendly and you can forget about locking doors... were in that hotel 2 years ago aswell and if i should go to lipe i would take it again. No doubt... Only thing is that Koh Lipe is becoming an island like Phi Phi. Big party island with loads of nightlife. National park my ***...

My wife and and me got 2 kids who are under 6 years old. We stayed in Lipe for 3 nights before coming to this resort. Our children were really happy to stay in this resort since they have got the private beach, which mean that we can make sure our children is safe. The transportation from Koh Lipe to this resort is free, which I really like about this. They offers plenty of activities for you to do during you stay. The support from the resort is outstanding, I truly mean that. Especially with the manager, Clark. He's a young entrepreneur and the manager of this resort. We talked to him a lot (His english is really really good, I would say the best English spoken I ever met in Koh Lipe and Koh Adang) . He treated us as his family members. Our kids also fell in love with him since he's really kind to the kids. Overall, this resort will be the next place for all of you who read this comment for sure !
