Me and my girlfriend reserved a room for non smoking king bed. Bu the time we got into the room, the smell was just the same as strong cigarette with strong scent to hide that bad smell. So we had to move the other room. However, when we went to the lobby, the reception didn't say sorry or anything like that and just gave me the other key to try by myself. Light breakfast, I was guided to have that from 6 to 10am but when we went to the narrow lobby to have that, it seems like it was already gone and the table was empty. I saw the other guys showed up and looked around just like us. We've been to the other At Home Inn in Pensacola, FL. That one was much better than Fort Pierce.

We had the best vacation week ever at Hutchingson! Staff were very welcoming, greeted us with a smile everytime. Very pleasant to deal with. Cherri & Jasmine were so helpful with helping us looking for things to do & places to dine out. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Loved the breakfast. Everyday had a different variety of hot/cold food that was replenished if running low. There was definatly no shortage of food for the guests. Pool & Jacuzzi was clean & warm. Private beach was perfect & very clean! Plenty of seating on pool deck & beach. Right down the road just a few min by car was public beaches with free parking. And the island restraunts had very good food and service. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will definatly be back again! What we loved was that we weren't price gouged to stay at a beautiful place, let alone being on an island. Since we saved so much on this hotel, it gave us extra money to do things with our children. Making memories!

The hotel is two stories in the shape of an L. All rooms face the parking lot. This means you hear everyone coming and going at all times. When I was there there were bikers who left early in the morning and came back in the wee hours of the night. The motorcycles were loud and so were they after a night of drinking. The hotel isn’t in the best of neighborhoods. The doors to the front desk were locked at night and you had to be buzzed in. The rooms were clean but needed to be renovated. The housekeeping staff only spoke and understood Spanish. So if you needed extra towels, put out your Do Not Disturb hangtag it was a waste of time. I learned the hard way. I got back to my room late one night and wanted to sleep in. So I put out my Do Not Disturb sign but at 9am they tried to come into my room. Which brings me to another point. There’s no way to deadbolt the door. But the staff was very accommodating and polite.

Size of room was above expectation. Clean, quiet and very conveniently located. Staff at check in made us feel very welcome. Just a shame no breakfast on offer, even if just a small selection of cereal or muffin/fresh fruit to go. We normally try and get out of town prior to rush hour, so with no breakfast we either have to wait till later in morning when in smaller town or have breakfast at fast food chain close to hotel which is not such a healthy option.
