Large Hotel- staff helpful and courteous but quite impersonal as expected at a large busy hotel, and this is as we like them to be. Suprisingly quiet in our room considering the size of the hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Food very good in the bar and restaurant areas- at reasonable prices. We stayed for 5 nights and this was just right to explore the city and immediate surroundings. Boston is an interesting city with plenty to do for that length of visit. Location very good away from the city centre and in a developing nice water front area. Easy to walk from the Hotel to the main bay area where all the city bus and sea tours start from ( about 20 minutes) Would recommend to any one.

A classic Boston experience at an iconic hotel where the likes of JFK, Malcolm X, and Nathaniel Hawthorne passed through during their life journeys. Excellent proximity to the Financial District, Government Center, Faneuil Hall. Indeed, few destinations of interest in Boston are not within walking distance (5-30 minutes) and the Government Center T station (for local subways) is also within a 5 minute walk. I took one of the "traditional rooms" which is quite basic -- a double bed and a writing table, but certainly all one really needs if traveling alone. Very pleasant fitness center and 3 drinking/dining locations right in the hotel (and multiple others within blocks). Parking is not included though there is an independent garage around the corner at 45 Province Street. This was my first stay and I already look forward to returning.

Attentive staff, historic charm and terrific location made my business trip to Boston Park Plaza Hotel a pleasure. For a better price than convention center hotels, this was close to Boston Commons with walkable neighborhood bistros and shops, and I could get to convention meetings easily. My room was clean and snug but comfortable. A hotel built in 1927 will not be the same as a shiny new glass tower, and if you expect that, and appreciate the charm of another era, then you’ll be quite happy here.

Battery Wharf is an excellent choice for short stay trips to Boston. Location is superb ... 5 minute walk along the picturesque waterfront to Long Wharf, Aquarium, Quincy Market and right next door to the North End, with all the wonderful Italian eateries, and Paul Revere house. Almost all of the rooms have fabulous water views, and it's a very quiet location, right next to the US Coast Guard base. Of special note, is the water taxi service directly at the hotel, which will take you to a variety of locations along the waterfront ...... we really enjoyed the ability to take the water taxi over to the airport upon our departure, a rare treat in a large city. A great way to end what for us, was a fabulous Boston stay. Rooms are very well appointed, with large screen wall TV, Nespresso coffee maker, and luxury bathroom room amenities.

Great location with the train station, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, 7-11, and McDonalds all on the same block. The hotel is upscale, but not over the top where you feel out of place. Rooms were immaculate. We had a Fenway room with perfect view of the park. Good elevators with no long waits. It is expensive, but only a bit more than many hotels in Boston. Parking is about $60 w/valet, which is the only way to park unless you find your own parking, which we did at the Somerset Garage for $32. Perfect walk to and from Fenway. Plenty to see and do in the area. I always do tons of research for the best price. Agoda had it.

I am very pleased to have stayed here during my week-long business trip to Boston. The hotel is fresh yet nostalgic... especially with lifts having a wooden interior and gold trims. The location was simply amazing. Walking distance to a couple of malls and other great shops. Having the metro station basically right in front of the hotel made my daily commute a breeze. My room was clean, comfortable and very cosy. The gym was great. My only regret was not being able to use the rooftop pool... understandably so as it's winter and Boston was still experiencing snowfall. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who intends to visit Boston, MA.

The stay at Doubletree Boston Downtown was an excellent start of a very nice holiday in the US for us. It's situated very close to the Boston Commons (public park) and a "T-Line" station (Subway). The staff was very helpful in helping me find a running course close to the hotel and recommended a very nice restaurant close-by (Jacob Wirth). Room was clean, tv had a lot of channels and the bath was big. Internet access at the public computers was fast. We arrived pretty late in the evening and couldn't find a restaurant close-by that still served hot food so we resorted to the hotel bar and were served some excellent food. The atmosphere at the bar was nice, too. I totally recommend this hotel for people new to Boston since they are right in the city and can begin to explore that fantasic location on their own easily. In case I will ever go back to Boston (which is likely since I fell in love with this city) the Doubletree Boston Downtown would be my first pick.

My partner would of wanted a mini fridge and more trash cans. Only issue i had was the woman who checked me in wrote down the wrong room number. She wrote 503 so i tried unlocking 503 and figured i’d Try 502 and 502 unlocked. Other than that, great stay, affordable rooms. I WILL be back again when i come to visit. It’s the perfect place to stay, next to a lake, next to a super market and fast food. Watertown mall isn’t to far from it. You can uber into downtown Boston less than 15 dollars. Just very convenient. And i loved the aesthetic. There are so many artists in Boston that would love to stay there!

This was a large room with simple but decent amenities. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The terrific price through an online booking site and the central Boston location, steps from Symphony Hall and the Green Line, made it a perfect choice for my stay. AND, since I was in town for a concert at Fenway, their offer of one night of free parking if you're attending an event at one of the major venues was a terrific bonus for me. And they even had a charging station for my plug-in hybrid! I would definitely choose Midtown next time I'm headed to Boston overnight.

This was one of the cheaper hotels in Boston, but it does the trick if you just need a place to crash and leave your stuff, and don't need a luxurious hotel experience. There's not much happening in the surrounding area, but it's not too far a walk to some of the more happening locations (about 10-15 min walk). Room was small but big enough bed. Beware that the shower door is built faulty -- after every shower the bathroom floor was soaked. Shampoo/Conditioner/Soap is from a dispenser and the cleaners didn't bother to refill it after it ran out on our first night. Everything felt clean though. They charge you an automatic $15/day for waters, tea and coffee and they leave you 2 bottles of water in the room every day and in the lobby. so keep that in mind and take advantage of what you are forced to pay for. Decor is stylish and they have Netflix available too.

I had to bring my mother into Boston the night before her surgery and found a great rate online for this BW hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating especially in the morning when I came back after bringing my mom to the hospital at 5:30 AM. The woman serving breakfast brought me coffee then took my dirty dishes when I was done. I also heard her giving directions to a woman visiting Boston and how to get to places using the MBTA. She was so kind and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone either visiting for the first time or just overnight.

If you happen to stay overnight to continue flying the next day, then this might be a good option. Note, if you are to book further in advance you won't be stuck paying extremely high prices for a typical room stay; as I did. The staff was tremendously helpful during my stay. I can only wish that with such prices their would have been a continental breakfast included. In fact, everything was charged a la carte; except for the coffee and tea located in your room. No refrigerators in the rooms. Bathtub was extremely small, in case you were thinking of soaking in the tub after a long flight. Room was fairly quiet and they do allow pets, if traveling with a furry friend; which I was at the time. Bed is comfortable and room is a fairly good size. They will allow you to stow away your belongings even after check-out, until your flight; which is very helpful. You may even utilize their lobby wifi and chill in their nice lobby while awaiting your next flight. Even better, is the ability to hop on their shuttle; which departs every 15 minutes or so and jump to a train location to visit the beautiful city of Boston between flights; which I highly recommend. The only thing is, when you text or call for a pickup it may take a while. So if it's too cold or you don't want to wait, simply jump on a bus that leads towards the airport; which you can find directly in front of train station every couple of minutes. My final note would be, if you decide on this hotel... Simply cart your belongings over on one of those airport carts; as the walk isn't that bad at all and more over you can cart your belongings into your room, then cart them over to concierge until you are ready to cart them back over to the airport. This is something you wouldn't be able to do if you decided on taking the hotel shuttle over and to me a little walk after being seated for so long is very satisfying.

On landing at Boston Logan airport and clearing customs we contacted the hotel for the free shuttle which arrived within two minutes. Check in took only minutes as did checkout made easy by attentive staff. The room (king) was large and clean and comfortable with fridge, microwave and coffee making facilities. Free coffee was available all day and the complimentary buffet breakfast was perfect with hot and cold food. The free shuttle was readily available to take us to the T (train) which was a couple of stops into Boston centre. Food in the Mexican restaurant attached to the hotel was extremely good especially as we had never tried Mexican before and did not realise how good it could be. Overall a great stay and would go back.

After reading the recent reviews I was a little worried about this hotel and was relieved to find it was absolutely fine. It is next to the Back Bay Amtrak station so very convenient if that’s the way you are arriving in Boston as we did. The area is very lively and everything in Boston is within walking distance. The hotel itself was extremely clean and the rooms an acceptable size for the city. The only criticism I have is the so called continental breakfast which was pitiful, they really need to up their game on that front.

The hotel is conveniently located. Front desk staff, Cal, and the concierge team were most helpful and welcoming. All was great until housekeeping on the last day of my stay. Though the chambermaid dried up the restroom, she knocked over my toiletries. After shifting some of the items in the restroom during the cleaning, she also failed to put them back to their original places. For one, she left the complimentary shower gel and shampoo on the toilet bowl instead of the showering area where they originally were. I did not move or use the complimentary shower gel and shampoo. She also turned my toothbrush upside down for no apparent reason. The towels were also placed haphazardly and they were in such a mess, they seemed like they were used. Overall it was a disappoint end to the otherwise wonderful stay.

Came to Boston to see a game at Fenway Park, and this hotel was very convenient for that purpose. Location was one block to the Metro Green Line, and about a half hour to reach the ball park. The rest of the city was also easily within reach. On site Parking was a big plus and reasonable at $20 per night for our weekend stay. The room was a basically a standard hotel room size. The Bathroom was clean and functional, with an economical layout. The bed was very comfortable. I rate the facilities as just satisfactory since there wasn't much besides two desk top computers in the lobby, free wi-fi in the rooms, and Breakfast included. The breakfast offered a good variety of cereals, muffins waffles and hard boiled eggs. Nothing fancy, but it was good enough. My only complaint would be the somewhat noisy ac- heating unit, but otherwise would definitely consider for my next Boston trip.

This is a great hotel and the location is the best. The hotel has great facilities, starting with a fun bar downstairs. The gym is really well equipped with Lifefitness equipment and lots of it. We had a Junior suite that overlooked Copley Place. As soon as you walk out the front door, you are in Copley Place and that is the place to start in Boston. It is only two blocks away from Newbury Street and through walkways, you can walk through to the Marriott hotel and the shopping mall. Our hotel room was nice and spacious. The bathroom for a suite was tiny and bit surprising. The internet is very slow.

If you're looking for an awesome experience with a fantastic staff then you HAVE to stay at the Verb. The entire setup is cool, with a record player in every room and hundreds of records to choose from. My girlfriend is from Boston so we had a several places to choose from in regards to our stay and the Verb will be our go to hotel whenever we decide to go back. Sam, Hannah and the entire staff are very welcoming and made our stay worthwhile.

The hotel is only a short walk to the subway station to go anywhere in Boston. However, it doesn't have much to offer in terms of food and other facilities. There is no pool and the exercise room is very small. Only one small café next to the hotel and the food wasn't that great. The hotel offered an optional simple breakfast with limited selections. The room is on a small size and the bathroom needs to be updated. The bed is somewhat comfortable if you prefer a soft mattress. The housekeeper needs to be better trained on how to get rid of dust on the night stand, table, and headboard. Overall, if you just want a decent place to stay near public transportation without paying a hefty price for a room in the center of Boston, this hotel will be a good valued option.

Nice hotel with even nicer staff. We were in town for a concert at Fenway and when we couldn't get a cab. Marlennys (sic?) who was already working so hard, took the time to give us a ride so we wouldn't be late. That's going way above and beyond! Matt took real good care of my special request for some treats in my room for after the show. The room was very nice, super clean, comfy bed.

The front desk staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. Great local food recommendations! I have a few complaints. The fan didn’t work in our bathroom. I was told that the fan was always on, but there was no suction. Also, the first night we stayed there was no top sheet. Just the duvet cover and it was ripped. And the bottom fitted sheet didn’t fit. None of the corners stayed on. I would think a nice hotel like this could afford some soft sheets that fit the bed. After getting room service we got a top sheet but the fitted sheet still did not fit.

I arrived at the Godfrey after 1 am and resigned myself to paying the added fee ($55) for the valet. I parked the car curbside, about 20 feet up from the hotel entrance but within the valet-designated area. I didn't take care to park it very close to the curb because I assumed my car would be moved within minutes. It was actually sort of sticking out into the traveling lane, but again: I thought it would be moved immediately. Several hours later, I woke up hungry (having not eaten) and ventured out to get something (at the extremely sketchy 7-11, where the locals were having a beef with the manager who was screaming and threatening to close the store.) When I left the hotel, I was surprised to see my car still parked in the same spot I had left it. I spoke to the front desk and they moved the car at 3-4 am. I was also charged $77.89 for the $55 valet parking. (plus $10 tip) I assume they added state and Boston hotel tax to the quoted cost. Never seen that before.
