Hits: 1) The staff are friendly and the amenities were basic. 2) Air-conditioning was cold. Room was spacious and clean. 3) Working hot water (needs a switch on the wall). 4) A spacious resto with an outside porch. Some misses though: 1) Internet was down. Storm took out the cell site on the island so there was no internet throughout the island. Not their fault though. 2) Some ants found their way on the bed. It's not a lot but enough for anyone to notice them crawling on you and becomes an annoyance. 3) Soap, toothpaste and a brush was was provided but no shampoo. 4) While it say it's a beachfront resort, half of your view is actually taken up by the Basco Port and the palm trees were tall enough to obstruct your view. Also, it appears that you have no beach access. 5) Some occasions the water pressure was low and the water occasionally spout out some kind of gunk. 6) They had a full size resto but for some reason they referred me to the one next door.

I’m a frequent traveller and I can say that Midtown Inn is the best hotel i have been so far. The facilities and the linens are so clean that it gives a relaxing feeling after a tiring but fulfilling day tour. The staffs are very accommodating (special mention to Ate Fina) and their refrige is open for guests (pwedeng makilagay ng yakult or kahit ano). The rooms are relaxing as well, simple but well maintained. The breakfast, super sulit sa dami ng serving and the coffee is always available (May sariling resto). But above all, the location for us is the best being at the center of basco. We just walked around to the best kainan in town and we were able to eat what’s in in our bucket list. This place is recommended for travellers who love to eat like us. Happy tummy, happy traveller!

My family and I loved our stay! It is a bit far from the town center of Basco, but my mother requested for a place near the beach that offers buffet breakfast, so we booked Amboy Hometel. We didn't bother with the distance. Amboy is located in a quiet side of town (although the whole of Batanes is quiet compared to where we are from) near an elementary school and a few other lodging places like it. My brothers and I were able to walk around 20 minutes to the town center and we enjoyed the scenery along the way. The food was in the restaurant was good--less MSG and artificial seasoning, which characterizes most of the food in Batanes. It's good for the health and a way to let the digestive system rest. They also have a backyard vegetable garden, which my parents loved. We initially booked a family room, but got upgraded to two rooms near the beach because of renovation works. Staff are courteous and friendly, not a surpise as Ivatans are well-known for their warmth.

Basco is a small town so every hotel you plan to stay in the area is walking distance to all the restaurants, convenience stores, and souvenir shops. The good thing about Shanedel's is that it's located beside the ocean so you get a very spectacular view of the sunrise and sunset. The place was clean as well and they have their own restaurant. In terms of value for money, its expensive but so as other hotel and things if you go to Batanes.

the Owner have to reinvest and to repair and invest now. Broken Windows from the last Taifun closed with a temperary Window so that you cant look out but so that you can open it for fresh Air. The Bath have warm Water but need Renovation. The Wifi is off is in the Hotel but People in the Hotels around have over Wifi Connection to the Internet.... The staff is friendly and try to help but not ever know all Details about Fares for Public Transportation Special for Trips. The Hotels big positive Point is the Place in Basco near the Airport just a 5 Minutes Walk far. If there will be a new Investment it can be one of the best Hotels in Basco. So all together i would stay there again

Location is at the center of the town walking distance to airport, Naidi Hils, Basco LIghthouse and Vayang Rolling hills. Town plaza is infront of this Inn. Clean room, accommodating staff, free water and coffee daily. We are 4 in the room, the space is just ok for medium size people. The aircon is a bit noisy but we did not use it most of time since its winter in Batanes during our visit and the toilet sink is sometimes clogging. Need to fix aircon and sink at room 205. All in all its ok, we will book here again on our next visit.

First of all, i’d like to say thank you to nanay Linda for taking care of our needs and being so attentive during our stay. We’d stay here for two nights (october 19-21). Troy lodge is very easy to find.. 5 minutes walk from the airport. Lakarin nyo nalang limang kanto then go down. Ang main landmark nya is yung iglesia ni kristo. Troy lodge is also known in Basco. Pag lapag namin, we just asked the airport staff kung saan yung troy lodge and they immediately told us the instruction.. accessible from the airport and convenient kasi nanay linda has a sari sari store. Ang comfy ng house, kumpleto ang gamit saka may hot water sa banyo. I strongly recommend this house better than hotel. Malinis at higit sa lahat maayos kausap ang may ari, open sa mga gamit so you can use it during your stay. I think yung picture sa agoda ay medyo madumi pero inside its really clean, its a filipino modern house. Madali kausap si nanay saka super safe sa bahay. Feel at home kaming mag asawa. 😃 Plus, they have a good family background so it makes sense why kilalang kilala ang troy lodge sa basco 😃 Godbless nanay linda and more bookings to come po!

A beautiful place near the beach. The staff are friendly and accommodating. It may be a bit away from the commercialised and busy Basco, but offers a quite place - so Batanes in its setting, Its only a tricycle away, which can be provided by Dive Batanes. Chanarian is also good for walking or jogging and I had a great time walking up to the best view of Mt. Iraya on the road to Mahatao. Tukon is minutes away and also walkable which can provide stunning 360 degrees views of Batan including Valugan Bay and Mt. Matarem.

Stayed here for 7 days (cos our flight to MNL got cancelled haha). Location is perfect! Super walking distance to a lot of restaurants and cafes. Ate MeAnn and Kuya Jessie are the best!!! They are so accommodating and really made sure we felt at home especially when our flight got cancelled and needed to extend our stay. Booked our tours through them also. Will definitely stay here again! ♥️♥️♥️
