"Had an incredible few days at Woodbury, loved the tent...especially the heated sheets which are turned on after an evening drive. Take layers it does get cold at night! Our guide Nikki was great, knowledgeable and friendly and we saw ALL the animals, even got up close with a Cheetah and saw an Elephant herd with babies. Food was very good, we loved the whole experience. Thank You."

"Had an amazing safari stay at Hillsnek. Only 4 lodges set at the base of a hill overlooking a large savanna. Very personal and accommodating service by the whole team. Beautiful uninterrupted views from the balcony. 4 x 3-4 hr game drives and we saw all the big game up close which was incredible. A wonderful end to our holiday in South Africa! The conservation ethos of the staff and game wardens is what sets this lodge apart. Nothing too much trouble and guides are very passionate and knowledgeable. I highly recommend a stay at Hillsnek. I hope to return again one day"

"Leeuwenbosch was amazing. It’s a quit quant safari lodge. Very clean, staff is on it, they feed you and give you drinks if you wish all day, and the food is amazing! The actul owners and their family members join you for dinner and breakfast, they love chatting about the history of the lodge and South Africa, it’s very informative. The safari and guide were absolutely amazing. So knowledgeable and friendly. I saw all the big 5 plus more (thanks Rogan). Most lodges are commercial, expensive, and really crowded. I got a 5 Star stay while getting a locals experience for a very reasonable price. I’d go back in a heartbeat and I highly recommend this to anyone searching for a safari lodge. Cheers!!"

"Amazing stay, great safaris, friendly staff. Wish we could have stayed longer. The owners were great and had breakfast with us sharing with us their story of how they started the place. Their limit of just 6 during our stay made for a personalized visit. Good food!"

"The accommodation was first class, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. The game drivers friendly and informative. Everything is very well organised. Because the lodge is in an open space all sorts of animals can wander through, therefore, in the evening when it is dark, you must be escorted to and from your lodge. The food was excellent. You are given a choice of menu in the afternoon before the game drive and your meal is ready on your return. When you return from the game drive, hot flannels and a drink await you. My only small comment is everything is very formal in the dining area. During our stay there were lots of couples and all the tables were set up to accommodate each couple. Everybody spoke in hushed tones. I felt very uncomfortable with the silence. At other safari lodges, smaller tables are available but there are also larger tables so that you can chat to people befriended on your game drive. It's more social and less formal."
