Beautiful & Romantic Getaway ”

My man & I just spent the last 4 days at Cinnamon Beach Villas where we stayed in a beach front villa. It was so beautiful and peaceful. There was plenty of privacy, which was great for me to tan topless and walk around naked. This is important when celebrating an anniversary or romantic vacation ;) Sohwatt (not sure of the spelling), is the owner and one that runs the place. He was so helpful and kind. They have scooters you can rent there for only 200 THB ($6) a day. He also helped arrange transportation & our ferry ride to our next excursion in Koh Tao. The staff was super friendly too. I highly recommend this villa to couples looking for a romantic & peaceful getaway!!! If you want some fun, that’s not far away. Just scoot over to the Beach Bar Samui (9 min drive). Looking for another incredible view and unforgettable dinning experience, just scoot over to The Cliff Bar & Grill (6 mins drive). I look forward to revisiting Cinnamon Beach Villas sometime in the future.

Excellent hotelstay”

it`s an atmosphere of home.... a very competent and friendly management with a staff, that is ready to give you an excellent experience on the beautiful island og koh samui ...some may think, that the hotel is situated to far from lamai beach...keep thinking that, so we can have the hotel for our selves...even transport is from time to time offered and always helpfull assistance at the reception ... where you now also can new dabish books ...thank you to the management and the staff for some wonderful memorable weeks at cinnamon beach villas.... we will be back, be sure of that ...

Great value, but make sure the location fits you”

we stayed at the cinnamon beach villas for four nights. upon arrival we were extremely happy with our booking. in terms of value/price, this hotel is a gem. the rooms are large, clean, and well equipped - yet the price isn't high at all. the hotel is very quiet, and a bit isolated. for our needs, it was great - exactly what we aimed for. there is one thing to make sure before you book this hotel - are you going to rent a bike/car? if so, think no further and book it right now. if you are planning to avoid driving in thailand, you should reconsider - as this hotel is quite far away from main attractions, and the cabs aren't too cheap (on-way in a cab to cha-weng costs double the rent payment of a bike for a whole day...). as a car driver, i don't mind saying that renting a bike is the best option (in my honest opinion), as the drivers here are very considerable, and the bikes are of great condition. overall - we were very pleased.

Very pleasant stay! ”

We were a couple in a Deluxe seaview room. It was amazing. The Room was very big, the view was great and the staff were very kind. We had a problem with our shower and the balcony door, and they fixed it right away while we were outside the resort. If you want to buy a water or something else from the supermarkt it was complicated for those guest who didnt rent a motorbycicle. We rent our motorbycicle directly at rezeption for 200baht each day and it was very awesome and a new experience us and we liked it. It was also good because we went to other beaches too. The beach in front of the resort is not good for swimming because of ebb and many crayfish! The beachbar right next to the resort was very breathtaking. The sunset view from the bar I would recommend to anyone. We have explored the whole island and we have loved Koh Samui.

Great place with very welcoming staff”

Cinnamon is located on the beach and a very short distance from Lamai. The area is a very peaceful. The beach itself is interesting to walk along but it is not the best for swimming. It is however close to the Lamai beach area which is better suited for swimming. The staff were very helpful and seemed to be willing to make my stay comfortable.

Stayed 3 nights at cinnamon beach. The room was great with a balcony overlooking the sea. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was served in a restaurant again overlooking the sea and the swimming pool was down a level again right next to the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful- it was like staying with family- dvds and books to borrow and you can hire a motor bike. You really need transport as it is in quite a remote location but very peaceful. Lots of steps down to restaurant and sea so not suitable for the infirm

Relaxing days”

We linekd Cinnamon very much. Peaceful, quite place, friedly staff. Walking distance both Lamai beach and Crystal Bay. You can also find nice restaurants nearby along the beach. Would definitely go again.

Beautiful small hidden hotel ”

Very beautiful hotel with honey moon ambience and good location, a little bit far from Chanweng beach but very close to Lamai beach, Tamarinds spa and good restaurants bear by. Staff of the hotel is very friendly. There're no waves in the sea and amazing view to meet the sundawn. Food in the restaurant is also good and there're quite a lot of places near by. Room is very big and beds just amazing to sleep as a baby.

Relaxed hotel, a great stay and what a view! ”

We stayed for here for 7 nights and loved our stay here. Cinnamon is incredibly relaxed and very quiet, we had the pool most days to ourselves! The view is absolutely amazing and it is what makes the hotel, the beach which is on the doorstep is not one for sunbathing/ swimming but still provides an incredible view and Chaweng Beach or others are just a ride away. We rented a moped for the full week and you would need to do so in order to get around unless you pay out for taxis all the time. You would be quite stranded without a moped, I can't imagine how this would work for a young family. The lady on reception was so nice, so relaxed about everything and so helpful. The only two negatives I can think of is breakfast is very simple, the pool bar needs revamping and wasn't always manned ( we just nipped out to the shops for drinks) and the odd bit of paint work needs touching up but none of this would put us off staying here again- we certainly would but I suppose it depends on how relaxed you are and what you're looking for! Thanks Cinnamon- we will be back hopefully one day!

Loved it”

if you plan on staying at this hotel make sure to rent a scooter. the location is very secluded, but the lamai beach area is just a short ride away. the staff was very kind and accommodating from the moment i arrived. the rooms are spacious and comfortable. breakfast could do with some improving. also i was really hoping to take a swim on the beach, but the water is really shallow and not great for swimmers.

Beautiful hotel but pictures were a bit misleading”

Upon arrival we were disappointing by the room not having a flat screen TV as I expected to use it as my 2nd monitor for work. The room wasn't like the pictures although it was still very nice. Staff was amazing, great service, and so helpful with our 1 year old daughter. The beach at this part of Lamai is very low this time of year so it was pretty much all mud. Still, a 20 minute walk south along the beach takes you to Lamai proper where the beach is very swim-able, even saw some colorful fish snorkeling there. All around very happy with this cozy hotel, the minor issues didn't affect our stay at all as service is what we care about most.

Nice, friendly, peaceful place”

We had a very nice time there. Rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, super clean and with an amazing view overlooking Lamai Bay. The staff, especially the manager did everything possible to make us feel 'home'. Free WiFi in the rooms! Nice and satisfying breakfast. We're strict vegetarians and they really went out of their way to make us happy on this side, which we appreciated very much! Everything's there, with a scooter you're in less than 5min in the center of Lamai, yet you're living in a completely peaceful place. Also has a nice and clean pool. The only small setback. The ocean is very shallow on this end of the bay. One can walk in for more then half a mile and still be able to stand. Swimming is possible right away in 50cm deep water ...:) ... which can be great for families with small children!

Beautiful location, clean room, helpful staff”

Cinnamon is found in an isolated location which makes it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The sun beds next to the pool, overlook the bay and it's nice to paddle in the ocean. The rooms are clean and well looked after and the staff are very helpful. The restaurant is reasonably priced and the food is delicious.

Awesome stay”

Guys I personally request all to stay here if you want to enjoy koh samui in fullest. Excellent property, nice staff especially the property owner, very kind and helpful. Awesome place, little far from night life but you can hire a bike/car if you want to. I will definitely revisit next year.

Perfect way to end a fabulous holiday in Koh Samui ..... Decor a little bit 'old school' but management and staff amazingly freindly and helpful, great location with awsome views from the Penthouse. Would definitely stay again!

Great sea view”

Fantastic hidden away hotel,great sea view,huge room and friendly staff. My daughter broke a glass and shower gel container and staff refused our offer of additional payment! No problems with the wi-fi which worked fine. The stairs to the beach and swimming pool were a little tiring,and without the car and hired motorcycle I wouldn't fancy the walk to the main road,which I noticed several people happily doing. However I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel. Set breakfast was a little basic,but taking into account the price and I think it was more than fair.And the American couple demanding they be given apple juice and not orange juice was quite amusing.

Relaxing worry-free stay”

Ideal for spending a few days in leisure and total relaxation. Beach Villa located right on the beach. Submerged into orchid grove, which also serves as a fence to give you private sunbath area. Great view of the ocean and distant islands. The ocean is rather shallow in this place, knee-deep, ideal for small children. Completely dries out during low tide though. Need a car if you're planning to move around the island a lot.

Really great place to stay but a bit far out”

We had a great stay at Cinnamon. The staff is very kind and helpful and we had a really nice room with an excellent view over the ocean! the restaurant is beautifully located also with view over the ocean. They have good food at a very reasonable price. The menu could have been a bit more exciting though. the location is surely perfect if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway. An extra-plus for how the excellent staff treated and spoiled our little daughter!

Cinnamon Beach Villas”

Really good! We got a room upgrade on arrival to a level higher so we could see more of the bay- beautiful view! They had scooters on location to hire as they were a little further from the main road than other hotels. The restaurant would open and cook for us at any time during the day, and even a late dinner. The pool was great- had a shallow and very deep end. I think they also offered thai massage overlooking the beach and had canoes to take out on the beach, but we didn't use these. The main man running the place was lovely and amazing and so was the waiter in the restaurant. We'd definitely go back! We had a wedding on at Beach Republic and this was a ten minute walk down the beach :) Great value for money!
