Very homey and friendly with a great pool!”

This is the kind of place where you really enjoy staying if you are on a budget. It has a wonderful pool, colorful/beautiful grounds, an enjoyable common area where a lot of travelers hang out, a really good restaurant on-site, and wonderful, friendly staff. My only real complaint was that my room -- which was clean and spacious, though not fancy -- had no air conditioning. (My understanding was that there was only one room that did.) It was hot when I was there, and that was a definite disadvantage, especially at night. But nonetheless, I look back on my stay at this hotel as one of the highlights of my trip. As a solo traveler, I enjoyed chatting with fellow travelers in the common area. And I thought the staff were really exceptional. If you stay here, don't hesitate to take a tour with Pheedo! I spent two days touring with him, and he is not only fluent in English, but is a thoughtful and wonderful guy who worked very hard to give me great value for my tours. Recommended!

Great size rooms, very clean. Lovely pool area but not so easy to just relax around the side of the pool. We really enjoyed the traditional feel of this place. Good value for money. 20min walk into town.

Comfortable and Relax”

My main reason to choose Chian House which this place provide swimming pool and the price quite cheaper among others. Reaching Chiang Rai during noon time, we check in to the place about afternoon, the scenery quite awesome. The entrance will show you the reception, dining area and tourist information desk. This place can assist to schedule a day trip to selected main attraction at Chiang Rai. Apart from that, i do miss the food, as the price is quite reasonable. Nearby to Chian House also have dining place which you need to walk few minutes. By the way, my experience is all good, though the facilities is served for basic only.

Nice and clean family business. Owner amd staff nice and helpful. The placed what you need. A bed and a bath. Very clean.

Nice place to stay for a few days”

I was a bit suprised when I first saw our room. The rooms are a bit run down. We switched rooms after our first night. The bed in our first room was terrible. When we arrived, there was some confusion about our checkin and our room and which room ours was. After talking to a few of the other people staying there, this seemed to be a reoccuring theme. The problem with their site is that they only show one photo of the front so you don't really know what your room is going to look like. But the ambiance and food is wonderful. The pool is right in the middle of the guesthouse which you usually find yourself talking and chatting with other travellers. I love this aspect in hotels as it's easy to keep to yourself and not meet other people. The people that work there are delightful and so friendly. The pool is refreshing and doesn't smell and is mostly clean.

Decent stay”

The people that work there were really nice and helped me out with a lot of things. They also make great food. I booked the twinbed room and it felt low budget. The room was not that well maintained and a bit dirty. The shower pressure was also pretty low. It did had hot water though. The pool looked a bit dirty as well, but I saw a lot of people still swimming in it. It was a decent stay.

Le prix est attractif, je l'ai testé vivant au nord de la Thaïlande sur recommandation et ayant moi même une homestay mais trop bruyant , et la propreté très moyen. Je pense que certaines chambres sont plus confortables. Je n'ai pas trouvé d'intérêt à la piscine. 1km 5 du marché attractif. A pied, c'est tranquille à faire. E. Famille, petit budget c'est une bonne adresse.

Guesthouse très accueillante et chaleureuse. On se sent en famille. Le personnel est adorable. Ambiance et rencontres avec les autres touristes au top. Cuisine délicieuse et copieuse pour un tarif correct. La piscine pour se détendre après une journée de marche, ou lors d'une journée off, très agréable. On a même prolongé notre séjour tellement on s'y sentait bien! À savoir que c'est légèrement excentré : environ 20/25 minutes de marche pour le "centre".
