Excellent service”

Easy to locate right next to KS Minimart/Klinik Wong in Brinchang, RM10 taxi from Tanah Rata, plenty eateries nearby. Big room, great price, cleanliness was impeccable, and they had great TV channels plus free flow tea. The best was the staff - easy check in (they already had my name ready on their list from Agoda and I felt very welcomed the moment I walked in), helped to carry our luggage, helpfully informative, and they insisted to change our towels the following day. This is one of the best I've stayed at, in terms of staff, cleanliness, value for money, hospitality at its best! In the tour packages offered by the hotel, look for Appu from Discover Camerons - he is very informative and experienced, with plenty of patience to take us hiking, and Lots of knowledge to share!

Very good”

First off, note that this is the next town over from where the bus station is (the main town for Cameron Highlands). It took me about an hour to figure this out and find a taxi willing to take me there. The beds were squeaky but comfortable, and with the exception of a few screaming children 1 of the mornings, it was a quiet and nice place to stay. The staff was very friendly to me (I heard otherwise from other travelers, but my experience was good) and check-in/check-out was easy. The biggest problem I had was with my laundry. I dropped it off to the front desk in the morning, and when I asked about it around 7pm the man told me it would be finished soon and they would bring it up to the room for me. Come 10pm, I went to the front-desk again to inquire about my laundry as I was leaving early the next morning, and the new front-desk worker spoke no English. I tried to use Google Translate for the next hour to just say or show the words laundry/finished and continually received a confused look. To my luck, the man from the laundry place walked in around 11pm with my stuff. Besides this debacle, I had a pleasant stay but would recommend travelers going to Cameron Highlands to stay closer to the main town where there is more food and accommodation options.

Center location and Cleanliness ”

From the hotel, it's very easy to go to many tourist attractions, from Cactus Valley, Big Red Strawberries Farm to the famous temple which is only 15 mins walk. The receptionist was very nice, he could help you arrange a tour-day around Cameron Highlands for you to explore the area by yourself. Free hot tea (self-serve) and drinking water. Definitely recommend this place to my friends!

Great place to stay”

We really enjoyed our stay at the check in hotel. It was in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful, they booked a tour for us and arranged our bus to Penang both of which left from virtually outside the front door and were cheaper than booking through the tourist info at tanah rata. A taxi from the bus stop in tanah rata to the hotel should be 8-10RM, because it's new our driver wasn't sure when to go, but just ask for the main square and you'll see the big sign on the second floor above the shops. It was very clean and had free tea and coffee, the lounge area was comfortable and we felt very relaxed there. There is a great place for local food really nearby, turn right up the main road then first left and it's on the corner full of locals and half the price of the town centre restaurants. We'd highly recommend staying here as the room was nice but the staff were even better, they couldn't do enough for us.

Good for the price but shady ”

+ The hotel is clean and near the taxi hub. It’s easy to find food and shops to buy water or snacks. The bed is comfortable and you have a dinning room equipped with the basic stuff. - The hotel is a bit old and shady at the entrance. For a super budget room it doesn’t make sense to pay a 100rm caution. Some staff sleep on the living room at night so it’s strange to go to the shared bathroom. The location is in a small village near the main one so there’s nothing much to do. But that’s the problem of the whole Cameron highlands I guess.. a lot of farms, all not that cool and you have to pay for everything, even to harvest ONE strawberry. Never getting back to Cameron again for sure.

Value for money”

It was a pleasant stay. Very near to some of the Cameron Highlands attractions. Enjoyed the hospitality there. The main problem is they're no free parking. The MPCH started using coupon system starting January 2019. 0.60 per hour. U can buy the coupon in nearby shops.

Best for budget stay”

The value for money in this hotel is really good. We booked a room with two queen sized bed since there were 4 of us boys. Everything is clean in the hotel, no bedbugs, no dirty bathroom, no dusts. The only cons here are probably that the bathroom and toilet are outside the room (shared) and you can't get too noisy since the walls are pretty thin. You can hear your friends talking even from toilet. But overall, this is a very good place to stay in Brinchang for budget purpose.

the room itself was clean, spacious and comfortable to relax in. tea and hot water was free all day which was a nice touch. location was great for the brinchang area, super close to shops and restaurants. only thing i would say is was quite noisy in the evenings as our room was at the front of the hotel.

Hidden Gem! ”

I had a great stay at Check In. The staff were very kind and helpful, it's in the perfect location for hiking and Brinchang is a really cute little township. They have free tea and a nice common area with a Tv and computer. Great for travellers who want some hiking and a quiet and cosy base to go from. Highly recommend.

Good budget hotel, good location”

The hotel located at very strategic location. 5 minutes walking distance to brinchang night market. Suit for backpackers. Near taxi station, near mini mart and good location to find food within short walking distance. room were clean and tidy You can also rent a bicycle at the front desk. Overall, i am satisfied. I didn't expect much since it was a budget hotel.

Very good”

Spacious room, comfy bed with thin blankets (Cameron highlands is a cold place), right in the center of Brinchang so it can get a bit noisy the entire day. Bathroom and toilet are shared, but the place wasn't full when we were there. Helpful staff, they are well informed so you can ask them for any advice regarding the city. Good value for money especially for a short stay.

Got transferred to another hotel the 2nd newer version of this hotel ”

The hotel was full, so I got transferred to the Check In 2 hotel which is a newer version of this hotel, so I can’t really review this hotel cause I didn’t stay in it but I am thankful and not complaining that I got upgrade with no extra pay. Overall it is a budget hotel. Don’t expect it to be like many stars hotel, you get what you paid for. But the location is nice, in the middle of the little brinchang town. Mosque is within walking distance. There are many restaurants and the food court is near. I think the bus stop is in front, I’m not sure cause I’m traveling by bike, so that may be good for those who travel by bus.

Best hostel in the money range”

The bed is very comfortable and clean. The staff is very helpful with providing information about the trekking route and bus ticket booking back to KL. Cozy hostel and feel like home. Located in Brinchang and very closed to start point of trekking route 1 to Brinchang mountain and route 2. And remember to ask bus driver to drop you off at Brinchang if you going from Penang

Fantastic room with window, king size bed very comfy, new fornitures, very clean private and communal areas. The staff is very kind and ready to help you in any time! It look like a 3stars hotel! Perfect central position in Brinchang!

The hotel is new and located in the centre of Brinchang city. Its near super market and restaurants. Its clean. The price is okay. Hotel is basic and simple. Worth paying Rm6+ for.

Very nice staff”

The hotel is located in the center of the inner town of Brinchang. It is noisy a little sometimes, but if you're not super-sensitive to these kind of noises it's just okay. The staff was very nice, they provided us with many helpful tips.

Pleasantly Surprised”

We stayed in the 6 bed dorm room, which was small but very clean and more than satisfactory for the price. The man running the hotel was wonderful! He was very helpful in explaining the area and all of our options for exploring. He arranged a tour for us (which was excellent) as well as an early morning taxi to the bus stop. You can tell they really care and do their best to provide a comfortable stay for their guests. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay here!
