The location is fantastic and serene . I would recommend this place . You can Sip a coffee watching the mountain and a bonus if the sky is clear - sunset too . The staff are cordial . The food is average . The room is clean .

Phenomenal location overlooking the Sand Sea of Bromo”
Probably the most scenic location you can find in Bromo National Park. The accommodation overlooks the Sand Sea of Bromo and it is a phenomenal sight to behold in the wee hours of the morning. Cleanliness could be improved on, and the shower's water pressure is quite low with flaky streams of hot water, which is something to bear on mind because Bromo can get very cold. Good for very short stays i.e. 1 night, but anything more than 2 nights and the shortcomings become very apparent.

*Hot water* {even 'luke~warm'..} would be nice! As *ICE~COLD* just Doesn't DO IT for me at 2000m elevation after strenuously walking the powder*fine, dusty caldera floor & Bromo crater. Sure was GREAT staying 'on-the-rim' of the Tengger caldera tho. Just walking a few meters to be able to SEE the caldera at *sunrise.. (& sunset*) was Wonderful!! The staff were very helpful & nice, too.

Basic room and good location for viewing Bromo”
I stayed there for 3 nights, with a good view of Bromo. There is a trail entrance ( free ) down to the Sea of Sand, just beside the guardhouse. First night, the hot shower wasnt working, so i informed them and they fixed it . Second night, same problem but they were kind enough to change me to another room. The lights in the new room wasnt working well but with power hot shower which most important for me . Not complaining about the lights. Breakfast was simple enough - fried noodle, fried rice , hot veg soup, egg, watermelon, crackers, hot drinks. It was cold up there and no room heater, so please bring more warm clothes. Temp around 12 - 15 degree.

Mt Bromo”
Planned a trip on my own to Mt Bromo and read some articles recommending that stay. The location was good, as it was right next to the national park and there even is a small hidden path to entr the national park of Mt Bromo for free, the locals use it with their horses as well. However from the moment I arrived there were only friendly as they tried to sell me any bike rides, horse rides, tours and other packages. As I already had plans and wanted to do the hiking on my own, they were no longer friendly and just offered the standard service. Food was not very well, but I guess there is not much to choose from up their, so it'll get you stomach full at least. The room was small and the bed very old and not the very clean. But as it was very cold up there I slept with my clothes on, so no bites or anything else. I would definitely try something else if I would go to Bromo again.

The only good thing was the location if you are planning to hike up Mt Bromo. The room was dirty and old, bed was very springy. The road from Probolingo town to this hotel was terrible - there was a mafia group guarding the entrance of that Cemara Lawang village, forcing every tourist to pay an entrance fee.

Very old and dirty hotel. Lousy breakfast. Stay here because of the view of the mountains. But you will regret once the view is over. You will have a hard time adapting to the room. Almost all the facilities is not up to par. For view, there are 2 more hotels. Permai Bromo 1 and Lava View Hotel. If both are fully booked, then don't come during that period. Heed my advice.

Best Family Memories of Cemara Indah Hotel and Bromo Mountain”
With this review, actually it is my second time to Cemara Indah Hotel. My first visit is at 2011 and my second visit is at December 2017. The best of all is the hotel's location exactly at the edge of the cliff of Bromo's outer crater. Upon arrival up to leaving the hotel we are pleased by beautiful scene of Bromo and surrounds just after we leave our room...exactly once we leave our room!!! For the price, hotel's services are considered excellent. Once decide to go to this hotel, be prepared with cold weather clothing, prepare cash money for your traveling surround of Bromo (prepare at least 1 million rupiah) and manage your personal medication. My family still love to come in future on this hotel and it became our favorite destination during vacation.
