Great, centrally located hotel”

Been living in Cebu R Mabolo for 17 days, I must say I really feel like home. Location-wise, despite its not right next to any shopping mall, it's very centrally located almost in the centre of the triangular point if one links Ayala, SM city, and IT park up geographically. It takes around 70 php (10 mins) on taxi to go to any of these places. Mabolo is also a very safe area. For the hotel, the room got everything one needs, and is designed in a simple style - very comfortable. The internet can be faster, but that's the problem that one will encounter everywhere in Philippine, not quite the problem of the hotel per se. The breakfast is a treat. They offer a good selection of both Easten and Western style, and is cook to order. Amazing. I will certainly come back again next time when I stay in Cebu. Highly recommended!!

A good place for a layover”

Cebu R Hotel is between two of Cebu's biggest malls, SM City and Ayala Business Park. It is also a block away from a local members-only warehouse store (Landers is a local take on CostCo). However, the actual area around the hotel itself looks dark at night. The other best feature of the hotel are its friendly and efficient staff, particularly the ladies at the cafe and the front desk. The security guards are also highly commended for their friendliness... they are actually the hotel's first and last impressions and they do a wonderful job. The rooms are pretty basic but they work. I wished the rooms had more power outlets but more importantly, I hope they have a look at the state of the bed linens, which are showing signs of age. The roof deck is great for night viewing of the city

Place is clean, staff is friendly and professional very accomodating and helpful , always ready to help out. Very concern of customers needs. Its not a 3 star or 4 star hotel but i will sure come back and stay infact its my 3rd time . I would still book more in Cebu R hotel mabolo

Clean, nice-sized room, quiet, friendly. Excellent included breakfast! Midway between Ayala and SM Cebu malls (1 km to each) makes it very convenient. Taxis abundant. Refrigerator in the room -- tiny but adequate. The only thing lacking was an electric kettle to boil water (essential for baby) but the restaurant gladly provided boiling water. For a stay longer than 3 or 4 days, we'd get a place with a kitchen, but Cebu R Hotel is now our first choice for a short stay in Cebu.

Cebu R Hotel's location is one of its best features... it is roughly between two of Cebu's biggest malls, SM City and Ayala Business Park. Ironically there is no 24 hour grocery like 711 around. The other best feature of the hotel are its friendly and efficient staff, particularly the ladies at the cafe and the front desk. The security guards are also highly commended for their friendliness... they are actually the hotel's first and last impressions and they do a wonderful job. The rooms are pretty basic but they work. There's an open cabinet, a TV, a fridge and of course the important air conditioning unit. I wished the rooms had more power outlets but more importantly, I hope they have a look at the state of the bed linens, which are showing signs of age.

PLEASANT STAY”

We had a pleasant stay at Cebu R Hotel for 3 days and 2 nights. The hotel was clean, the staff were generally friendly and helpful, especially that lady in a blue dress last August 18, in the morning. I just wish to recommend to have a better bath soap. I somewhat dislike its effect on the skin. It seemed to cause our skin to dry. But, generally, we loved our stay in this hotel. God bless!

Value for money”

The hotel has very nice staff. The front desk ladies were all very pleasant to deal with. I initially booked for 1 night only because this was a new hotel which I chose because of the proximity to my relatives' place. My relatives in Cebu did not even know about this hotel. Aside from the nice front desk ladies, I must also mention the efficient staff at the dining area where breakfast was served and the nice person who took time to reply to inquiries thru messenger. Because I liked the hotel, I extended my stay to another 2 nights. I already made up my mind to stay at this hotel the next time I will be in Cebu.

Great Wi-Fi but ...”

So I liked Cebu R. The hotel is relatively new and modern. However the Wi-Fi is tricky. In the hallway the Wi-Fi is amazingly fast for the Philippines. However because of the thickness of the walls I could not get Wi-Fi in my room on the bed I had to stand by the door. We had a Wi-Fi router literally three or four feet outside our door. So instead we went to the 12th floor roof deck and spent most of our time doing work up there the Wi-Fi was fast and the views were great. The location. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere you are a 15 to 20 minute walk to Ayala Mall and a 15-minute walk SM Cebu mall. . You are kind of forced to take a taxi but taxis don't come down this street that often so we waited 25 minutes to get a taxi when it's raining. There usually 2 or 3 groups of people in front of you.. Overall I would still recommend this hotel just know what you're getting into before you get there it is a good value for the money.

Value for Money”

Cebu R hotel is my hotel of choice if I have early flights out of Mactan International Airport. The room we were given was clean, spacious and well appointed. The staff were pleasant too. All in all, a good stay and one I’ll book again for my next flight out of Cebu.

Good quality for what your'e paying”

Wonderful staff, courteous and welcoming, always wearing smiles. A wonderful and respectful staff to go with beautiful accommodations. They serve good food. Best bang for your buck. Gets two thumbs up from me for their great accommodations. Great quality service for the money. The Hotel is well placed. It is near three of the biggest shopping centers in Cebu, SM City Cebu, Ayala, and I.T. Park. A nice hotel indeed. Good quality hotel for the money. A hotel worth considering if staying in Cebu at a budget.

Quality is consistent”

I stayed at this hotel 2 years ago. I needed a decent hotel in a good location and decided to try this hotel once again. I am pleased to tell you that the standards of quality have not slipped one bit at the Cebu R. The value for dollar is right there. The cleanliness of this hotel has not declined in the least.. The staff, I really can not say enough good things about. Will I stay here again, YES.

outstanding value”

I was overwhelmed with the friendliness of the staff, special mention for Vicky and Glen. I was not expecting too much as it was a good price however it exceeded my expectations. I booked the suite and it was lovely, big bed, stocked fridge, satellite TV and a bathroom that oozes luxury ! ok look too closely and you notice the tired fittings and the scratched marks on the walls But you are not paying 12,000 peso for a night. the bed was great, sleep was great, a bit of noise from the hallway but my 2 day stay was brilliant and I will go back and I recommend this with no prejudice. warning the hotel arranged my pick up from Cebu airport and it is according to local taxi firms overcharged but after several flight hours who cares ! The hotel is not far from Ayala Mall which is worth a visit !

Always great to be at Cebu R but...”

Great little gym, nice breakfast and clean comfortable rooms. Usually I rave about this little gem in Cebu but this time around, the room I was in was unusually noisy (outside noise). Probably also due to peak season but the hallway late at night was always so noisy and you can hear a bunch of guests talking outside (the people were loud, so I guess that's not the hotels fault). Normally this hotel is quiet, but I guess I found out that the rooms are not as soundproof as I had initially thought. The wifi was also extremely unreliable this time (again maybe due to the high volume of guests?) dropping on and off and during daytime or active hours, it was excruciatingly slow and sometimes just mostly useless. Of course, I'd stay here again. Great value hotel!

Quick Stay in Cebu”

First - MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHICH LOCATION YOUR TAXI DRIVER IS GOING TO. We were first taken to the Capitol location, then had to grab a 2nd cab to the Mabolo location. Hotel is nice. The design is new. Good walking location to the Ayala Mall. Also checked out the Carmelite Monastery. Wifi is no good. They give you codes - so one code per device. Couldn't use my phone because I had to use the code for my computer. Speed was inconsistent. For a city as large as Cebu, there should be better internet. Good breakfast, plenty of options. Staff was nice and very helpful.

This hotel is a must. It is affordable and the breakfast is really great. The room is big, clean and great comfort room! It has mini ref and the location is near to Landers, and ayala cebu mall. If I could go back to cebu, I really prefer this place. I would love to go back! When I check out the hotel, my partner's clothes was left in the room and they gave it back to us. What a great deed! Pros: - Room was minimal and spacious - Water in bathroom was consistent and heat was adjustable - WiFi was fast (first time I booked a relatively cheap hotel with WiFi as fast as theirs) - With breakfast (though the serving size isn't that big, but that's fine with me) - Room had safe and ref - TV has many channels - Bed was clean and cozy (pillows could've been bigger but again, not an issue) - Staff were very courteous and always smiled! Cons: - No bidet - No outlets near the bed - Location isn't that great if you want to commute, but it was near two big malls so it's okay (around 80 pesos grab if no surge) If we go back to Cebu, we'll definitely book this hotel again!
