This comments is based on my total 12 nights stay with three different hotel categories: budget , middle range, and the pricy ones. Overall I was satisfied with the variety of hotels I stayed for 4 nights each in three categories. Cebu grand for me is the middle range, good size room, good buffet breakfast although the selection is limited. Friendly and accommodating staff like the other hotels I stayed. I would say that Cebu grand hotel is one of the best in its price category, safe and quite location, clean but older building, room size is big compared to the newer hotels, location is close to Ayala (40 pesos by taxi and availability of taxi is good, good security staff. If you like a more quite location but close to everything, then Cebu Grand is one of the best in its price range.

great hotel, great service”
this is the second time i've stayed at the cebu grand and i'm sure i'll stay there again when next i go to cebu. the rooms are comfortable, clean and attractive. the hotel appears to be well maintained, there were no issues in our room. the staff did all they could to make our stay comfortable. the only possible complaint was the wifi in the room...if you weren't sitting at the desk, the reception became very spotty. the breakfast was excellent, and is, at least when we were there, included in the price of the room, which was very reasonable to start with. a word of advice...if you're flying into cebu, avoid the flat rate taxi to the hotel and take the metered ones. they are over twice as expensive as the regular metered taxis in cebu, but our trip was still only from the airport to the hotel, as opposed to on the return to the airport from the hotel.

it was a fantastic stay. the staff were friendly and worked professionally. rooms are big enough and the accommodation was totally perfect for the rate. it means, it is worth to the value that you pay. the hotel location is fairly accessible to important key offices and shopping centers in Cebu. though hot and cold shower was not working well but that can be fix. complementary buffet breakfast rate number 8 for me as 10 is the highest, not bad, just fair enough for the money that you paid for your entire stay at Cebu Grand Hotel. the renovation of this hotel is totally considered to be competitive in the hospitality world, ambiance, designs, style, hotel concept and architectural works are rate to be good. i strongly recommend this hotel especially to all first timers in Cebu.

Firstly,I picked Cebu Grand Hotel from agoda.com and chose the size of a room that had a reasonable price. When I actually arrived at the hotel, I was amazed at the size of the room and really found it worth the value for my money, even more! All the staff looked very presentable and with pleasing personalities, all ready with that hospitable smile. They were such good greeters anytime of the day and would help you with whatever you needed. Surely such a lovely hotel, a pride of Cebu and can be recommended to anyone, specially our foreign guests. Thank You!

Pleasant overnight stay”
My parents and I decided to spend one day to see the sights of Cebu after spending three nights in Bohol. I think that Cebu Grand Hotel was a good choice for an overnight stay. The room was spacious, the beds (one queen size and one single) were comfortable, and the aircon cool enough. We also had a nice flat-screen TV that allowed us to watch the recaps of the Willam-Kate Wedding and of American Idol in the evening. However, I thought that it was quite difficult to get in and out of the bath tub, the design of which could be re-thought. I imagine how much more difficult it was for my parents (both over 70) to keep themselves from slipping. The breakfast buffet was okay (the usual bread, ham, bacon, eggs, rice, fruits, and desserts that included a delicious buko pie). However, the bread of the sandwiches prepared for us for lunch, right before we left for the airport, were a bit tough, perhaps because we had to wait 20 minutes before they were finally served. Otherwise, our stay in Cebu Grand Hotel was pleasant because of the friendly service we received. The hotel recommended a competent taxi driver who drove a spacious Vios that brought us to the tourist spots of Cebu in the morning and that brought us to the airport safely in the afternoon.

Amazingly Unexpected!”
I booked the hotel because of its location near a mall where I could shop and play with my kids in convenience and I wanted to have a good night sleep. As I arrived the hotel staff were so accomodating. I was surprused I have a big bath tub in my room where me and my kids could fit. The aircon was superb and the cable tv had lots of channels to choose from... both beds, were nice and comfortable. I thought the bottled water in our room was the welcome drinks but lo and behold I had a free refreshment juice at their restaurant and its a fresh lemonade with a twist. The buffet breakfast was the best part I had unli bacon!!! Doesn’t lack anything at all. The hotel even has a pool up top... now I am beginning to question why all this for 1500 ..I am so lucky I got the best deal from Agoda... and thanks Cebu Grand I’ll definitely come back!

Exceptional Service and Ammenities”
we are regular visitors to cebu (past 12 years)and owner operators of a small beach resort, so we understand service,it was our first time to stay at cebu grand hotel, we were very impressed with the friendly, helpful staff, the hotel lobby and restaurant and our room was very comfortable and very well appointed. the hotel location is so central and yet by being set back from the main road there is virtually no traffic noise. i spoke with the manager, september, she was very helpful and friendly. looking forward to our next return visit sometime in january.

Great hotel that is definitely right to the budget”
Our stay with Cebu Grand Hotel was definitely great. We were able to get what we expected to have for the right amount that we paid for-spacious and very tidy rooms (plus i loved the bed sheets because they smelled great), very near the malls (just walking distance! its so convenient to be near to malls in case you suddenly need to buy something), delicious buffet breakfasts (that perked up our mornings)and very courteous hotel staff (they are also always attentive to the guests' needs). I will definitely come back to this hotel for my second visit to Cebu.

Cebu Grand Hotel is like a home away from home. One feels secured and safe with the security personnel assigned is always stationed at the entrance gate.The hotel staff are very accommodating, friendly and helpful. One of them even extended assistance in suggesting where to go to and suggested to us how we can avail of a city tour service car. So far my daughter and I really enjoyed our short vacation in Cebu City.

Cebu Grand Hotel is situated near the center of Cebu and is within walking distance to the Fuente Osmena circle. Rather dated hotel which needs renovation, the rooms are spacious and have proper amenities for a comfortable stay. The front desk and room staff are friendly and helpful at all times. Taxis van be ordered easily for transport to the Ayala Center Mall and the SM mall. A most attractive feature is the reasonble price in comparison to most Cebu hotels.

We have stayed here many times with booking direct, this time thru Agoda we saved Lots....Thank You!! They are referbishing the hallways and rooms, not that they needed but they are doing. Thanks To Cebu Grand Hotel Resaonable distance to the Malls if you like to shop. You have Ayala and SM Mall,,,,,me I prefer the SM Mall, More stores of reasonable cost vs Ayala. However in Ayalao is Rustan's Supermarket.....if you are a Foreighner go there, great Cheese and Lunchmeats like Salami, Pepper Ham. Yea, it is expensive, but living in the Philippines you can not find anywhere.

We had a nice and comfortable stay in Cebu Grand Hotel. Its location is very good as it is near a lot of restaurants, church, banks and other establishments. Despite the hotel building being a bit old, their rooms are well maintained and the staff are all very accomodating. Although, it took us quite a while to be checked in as some of the rooms were not yet ready when we arrived around 3:30PM. But overall, we had a nice stay in the hotel. Will gladly recommend it to my family and friends.

cebu grand hotel is very good, it is agoda that lies all the trouble. i would use any other service except agoda. they have NO customer service and NO common sense.be very careful when booking , and double read every thing, if u hit the wrong button, you are screwed, they wont help you, i hit the wrong button, booked a hotel with NO breakfast, and non refundable, for 2 dollars more , i could have booked every thing, why even have non-refundable or no breakfast, lousy travel web site , doesnt make sense, dont use agoda at all,

Nice hotel, with great rooms”
Overall my stay at Cebu Grand hotel was very nice. The staff at this hotel is very professional. They have a small but nice business center. The pool area is nice and spacious. The best thing about the Grand hotel is that the sizes of the rooms are very large and in some cases include a balcony. The location is basically in the middle of Ayala and Robinsons. I do have to mention they are undergoing renovations on their top floor so the noise can be disruptive during the day. But all in all I would still recommend this hotel if you prefer to stay away from some of the more crowded areas.

The Cebu Grand exceeded my expectations in all regards. As stated, the hotel is undergoing much-needed renovation but I was very impressed with the helpfulness and attitude of all of the staff: Front Desk, Bellmen, Restaurant, and Housekeeping (the backbone of any hotel). I highly recommend the Cebu Grand and hope to return soon.

we stayed at cebu grand hotel one night only, and we were extremly tired after 4 flights in a row. the hotel room was clean and cozy, with small terrace, hotel stuff was very helpfukl, especially during the breakfast. the hotel is not far from ferry station. all in all, it was very good experience and the hotel is very nice itself.
