Penthouse Apartment Cape Town”

Three bedroomed apartment used by two couples. Lovely apartment, very modern, spacious, kitchen has everything you could want, lounge area provided plenty of seating areas. Struggled a little with the washing machine, need a little more information as to how operate it. Appreciate there were some instructions, but they didn't quite go far enough. Plenty of sun beds on the balcony, plenty of opportunities to eat, have a drink outside. Found staff very helpful, apartment was clean well kept. Only negative point, although the view from one side of the exterior isn't great, from the other side you have a great view of Table Mountain, although the road outside can be noisy early in the morning and between 3 pm and 7 pm in an evening. Didn't bother us greatly though. We have stayed in Canal Quays apartments on previous visits consequently we were aware of the view of the port area and the dust that it can create as it is a busy working port. The water taxis are now operating and we used them to get into and back from the V & A waterfront, through the day and until early evening. However when we stayed at the apartments previously you could walk back from the waterfront area and along the canal side back to the apartment. For some reason this access walkway has now been closed off, consequently to get back later in the evening you have to now use a taxi, wasn't greatly impressed. Did used to enjoy the walk back; we were informed by staff that this access point is under review, without this, these apartments are now cut off from the waterfront area. Hope they find a way of resolving this problem as this was one of the reasons we booked an apartment again. Would we return? Yes if/when in Cape Town again.

Very nice stay”

I attended a conference at the Cape Town International Convention Centre and stayed at Canal Quays Apartments. The location is excellent as it is a very short walk from the CTICC and also within walking distance from the V&A Waterfront. The hotel's no noise tolerance policy ensures a delightfully quiet and peaceful stay that enables one to fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings and it also ensures undisturbed rest. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay and will most definitely use this hotel again when attending events at the CTICC.

Excellent apartment & excellent staff service”

i stayed at room 302, it was the best studio apartment i have had so far. anything you need to make a home, they have it. flat is neat and tidy. staff at the service counter was friendly and helpful. it is within walking distance to the v&a waterfront. you can buy food from the supermarket and cook a nice dinner while enjoying all the movies on dstv. love the washing machine and dryer in the flat, you could simply bring home good smelling clean clothes after a long trip. how nice! i would highly recommend the canal quay apartments to everyone who is looking for a nice decent place to stay at good value.

Luxurious self-catering apartment”

we found the apartment to be very comfortable and spacious. it has a clean, modern look and is fitted with all the necessary amenities. the welcoming breakfast in the fridge for the next morning was a nice touch. we had a lovely view on the canal and working harbor. the canal flows from the cape town international convention centre to the waterfront and is serviced by a sightseeing canal boat every 30 minutes, with a stop conveniently located at harbour bridge, right next to canal quays. good security and safe basement parking.

Excellent Facility”

Canal Quays Apartments is the perfect place for a Cape Town visit. It;s proximity to the city's transport system and the CBD is very convenient. Just a few minutes walking distance to the famous V&A Waterfront Mall, what more could one ask for?

Good value for money”

Clean and well equipped apartment competitively priced for Cape Town in the summer. Slightly tricky location to find, some 15 minutes from the main V&A waterfront even though it gives that as it's address. Overlooks industrial part of harbour but, whilst not very attractive, this wasn't noisy. Staff very good and well organised expecting my arrival and requiring minimal paper work.

Awesome Place to stay in Cape Town”

Second time we have stayed here. Just a short walk of 800metres from the V&A Waterfront. Perfect location if you intend visiting local attractions such as V&A, Clifton, Camps Bay, Hout Bay, Cape Point, Simons Town, Table Mountain etc. the apartment was great value for money at half the price of surrounding hotels, very spacious and clean. Staff were really helpful and even gave us a room later on the day after check out to shower before flights home.

Nice home away from home ”

We were warned about the difficulty of finding the hotel from other reviews, so we made sure our pick up car knew where it was and we didn't have problems getting there. Checking in was ok. We just had to find the office as it was already after hours when we got there. The apartment was huge. We stayed in a 2-br apartment with Ample space for the living room, dining area and kitchenette. I liked the small pool/jacuzzi and den with a view of the canal. We just had problems with the washing machine and we had to call for assistance twice during our 4-day stay. It's quite a walk to the V&A waterfront though. We usually took a taxi going back. Overall happy with our stay and our choice of this property!

Good location, spacious apartment, secure parking”

Well located, easy access to the V+A Waterfront by Canal boat and walking distance to the Cape Town International Convention Centre. The 2 bedroom apartment was very comfortable, spacious, clean and well equipped. Safe basement parking.

Fantastic apartments and staff ”

Plenty of space nicely furnished all you can ask for when looking for a place to stay in Cape Town. Only negative is the canal foot path closes at 7 pm so if you’re enjoying the V&A waterfront you need to cross a busy road to get back to the apartments

Exceptional”

I stayed at Canal Quays with a colleague for a conference which was held at the CTICC. It's conveniently close to the CTICC- walking distance. The construction of the new building blocks the view and there was some noise from the construction workers. Apart from that the apartment we were in was so home,very nice and warm for the cold winter in the Cape. Staff members are nice & friendly. Thanks to Thembela who helped me out with printing of my conference papers with much ease.

Canal Quays Apartments”

Great place to stay from excellent staff (check-in & security staff), to location (walking distance to V&A and Cbd or cheap uber rides due to short distance) . the apartment it self (huge bed, all amenities crockery, washing machine/tv,etc). Its my second stay at canal Quays and looking forward to more. Last minute pricing is also great and definitely worth it

Beautiful apartments by the sea”

Pros; - Location location location. Located in the safe CTICC yet a walking distance to the Waterfront. Perfect for exploring Cape Town. - Beautiful well appointed apartments with full loaded live-in facilities - Having the option to hop on a water taxi Taht stops outside the building is soo cool. Felt like Bond on his quests. 😎 - Staff very helpful and accommodative. - Sunsets are wicked from this vantage view Cons: I guess this was not their doing, but when I arrived there was no water for a good part of the day and the toilet had not been flushed when I walked into my room. Overall great experience with wonderful staff. Highly recommended.

A luxury home away from home”

I loved staying at Canal Quays. The location was key and the apartment was very comfortable and complete with washing machine and dryer as well as a fully equipped kitchen. It us excellent for long stays in Cape Town as you could literally cook yourself a proper meal. The only downside would be that housekeeping is not exceptional especially in terms of replenishing shampoos and shower gels. And once they even forgot to replenish the hand towel that they took away. Wifi is also not great. You have to continually log in and with only 1GB free, it really finishes very quickly. The dryer is also very noisy and does not dry well. Otherwise, everything is great.

Clean, modern and convenient”

Check in and check out at Canal Quays was handled efficiently. The room exceeded my expectations. It is clean, modern and a bit luxurious. The view over the canal and working harbour is what we expected. The hotel is a stone's throw from the City Lodge Waterfront where I stayed before and the size of the room, the room design and the views are much better.

Great apartment, cleaned daily, easy location ”

great apartment, modern and clean. daily housekeeping except sunday. had everything you needed from washing powders to dish washing liquids. tv had full range of channels. balcony pleasant, no real outlook quite industrial. the security guy when we arrived was very unhelpful but others during our stay seemed more friendly. the v & a waterfront is a good 15 min walk from apartments but very doable. perfect if you are at the cticc. we had a car which helped, but it seemed a perfectly safe area of town.

Stay was great and my wife loves it very much. Access to V&A waterfront is not that convenient but the water taxi minimized the trouble you might got. Staffs are attentive and helpful so you have no trouble at all to get things assisted. You can do slight cooking in the kitchen and truly we enjoy it very much. 6 nights stay makes this apartment our home away from home, we love it very much. Surely will stay in this premises again whenever come back to Cape Town.

Great place to stay right on the canal...”

Was in Cape Town for a conference, but the conference hotels were high. Looked around and found Canal Queues, and reserved. Got in, the room was fully loaded, great view of the canal (actually could see the QE2 berthing from my balcony). Solid internet. Would definitely stay again.

The Waterfront is a great area, very central, to stay when visiting Cape Town. This company and this apartment block is very good. Modern clean facilities and well managed. Secure & safe. Great café for Breakfast close by or get your own provisions and cater for yourself.
