The Place To Be In Samal After Days of Touring Davao”
The best feature of the resort is its location being situated at the side of Samal Ferry Wharf where you can catch a ride from Davao City to Samal Island. Agoda offered us 2 room option, hotel room or cottage. We opted for the hotel room. The hotel was spacious and clean. It has a nice open air balcony that has a view of the beach. The bathroom was okay. It's clean & has water heater. The facilities of the resort was relatively good. Although, the beach as enclosed, it's considerably okay knowing it's beside the ferry wharf. The swimming pools were nice too even the infinity pool was not so infinity. The staffs were polite, friendly and very helpful. They even assisted us with our baggages going to the wharf. The resort's food outlet offers a variety of choices. Food was relatively okay. Food prices was reasonable. The only downside maybe were the lack of wifi and intercom system. It's also hard to ride the ferry if you are with kids and luggages but that's not about the resort

My new go to resort for overnight stays”
What’s great about Camp Holiday is that it has everything you’d want in a resort. There’s a pool, restaurant, access to the ocean, clean rooms, aircon, balcony in the room... none of it is particularly amazing but it’s all standard and that’s a good thing given the price. I would say the quality is as good as many resorts that charge double for their rooms. Oh, and the location is fantastic. You can take the public barge to get to Samal and then walk right in. No need for a tricycle or habal2. And the barge operates 24 hours. So due to the ease of access, price, and quality I would say this is my new default resort for visits to Samal if I want overnight or a swim in the ocean in a cleaner atmosphere than a public area. For day tours I’d still prefer one of the resorts that has more activities to offer if going in a large group.

Best value. Best Comfort. Good food”
Well if you want to enjoy your stay in Samal go and get a room here in Camp Holiday preferably Deluxe. Water is good ! (pool, beach and for bath 😆) Good food. Affordable. We loved the pizza... Customer service is the best... you cant ask for help anytime. Ice cream are really cheap. My youngest daughter always get one every mral You can grill for lunch and dinner and eatin the resto they still loves to serve. We grilled Some meat at seafoods then just ordered Sinigang na baboy (superb) and rice they let us eat them in their resto. It is actually our family's second time staying here at Camp Holiday and we really enjoyed esp the the infinity swimming pool My daughter even told You look for other resorts to book but in the end it will still be Camp Holiday.... Yehey!

Value for Money. Location. Convenient.”
I have mixed review with Camp Holiday Resort. If you are looking for convenience coming form the port, it is a minute walk. Easy access going to Samal island and vice-versa. On the contrary, the beach area and infinity pool is facing the port area and it diminishes the ambiance of the resort. It is also accessible to public transportation as well as a 24 hour convenient store right beside it. The room were big with king size bed. They have a cell number provided so you may order your food in advance since they serve it 30-45 minutes later. During weekends the resort might be too crowded & noisy. There are a lot of people coming from Davao City. I suggest that you come in on weekdays so you could enjoy the facilities. Overall, my stay was ok. Nothing great, but the staff made our stay very reasonable.

Convenient and affordable”
If you're looking for a convenient way to enjoy Samal Island with a certain budget in mind but wants to have a beach plus pool and easily accessible from the city, Camp Holiday is the place to be. Right after we arrived at the island, camp holiday is just beside the terminal (sasa wharf). Ferry fee is P10 and less than 2mins of walking to the hotel.

Pleasant stay”
This was my 4th stay on Samal Island, but my first stay at Camp Holiday Resort, which I booked because other resorts on Samal Island were full. I was pleasantly surprised. Camp Holiday Resort is a pleasant place to stay. In addition, it is located right where the ferry from Davao arrives. I especially liked the pool reserved for residents (there is a second pool for day visitors). And I liked the food.

Greatt Spot for a family reunion”
my time at holiday camp was great. it was the first time meeting my girlfriend family. and we all decided to have the meeting at holiday camp. being my first time in the philippines i did not know what it was like. but i was delighted. we got there and it looked like a summer camp out of the 50's. there were alot to do for the whole family. the kids (8 and 13) stay by the pool most of the time. her mother relaxed by the beach. me and my girlfriend sat out on one of the resorts open huts just talking most of the night. it was enjoyable watching the sun rise in the morning. in the morning we headed out for a walk in the area. found a little place to get something to eat for everyone in the family. and after breakfast the whole family took a walk back to the resort. which at that time my girlfriend little girl started to play with a baby goat, which was one of the best memories of our time together.

School reunion”
Had a lovely time at Camp Holiday . Booked location as my wife had a school reunion arranged at resort . Read a few reviews prior to booking & was not expecting too much . The resort turned out to be great . Restaurant worked well & food was good . Swimming pool is for checked in guests only so not crowded. This was midweek not over a weekend . We had a cottage which was good value although the mattress was not that comfortable . Would certainly stay again .

Went above and beyond to save us from a horrible resort”
We stayed in a different resort for our first day of vacation which I regret. Camp Holiday went above and beyond to help us get transportation just to get out of the horrible resort which is Bluejaz resort. I wish we have stayed in Holiday Camp Beach resort in the first place. Super helpful staff and their infinity pool is heated. The beach is well maintained too.

Worth a stay!”
We walked by this resort numerous times while riding the barge. We finally decided to give them a try one night when we had a late flight into Davao. We were pleased at how nice the grounds were and the well kept beach and 2 pools. The kid loved the play area and the location makes it very easy to come and go to the city or catch a ride around the island by motorcycle. We will probably stay again next time we pass through the area.

relaxing haven ”
we stayed 10 nights at camp holiday while re-commissioning a boat to go back into the water. camp holiday is right next to the boat yard, so was very handy for us. the location also makes it easily accessible for walk on ferry passengers arriving from sasa, davao. there are no tea/coffee making facilities or fridge in the rooms, but the staff are happy to supply hot water and ice on request. tea/coffee is available at the restaurant for a reasonable charge. we ate most of our meals at camp holiday and really enjoyed the calamari! the air conditioning works well and the large beds are comfortable. free wifi is available most of the time, although download speeds are slow depending on traffic usage. we would stay again.

A nice suprise”
I enjoyed my stay at Camp Holiday because of its location close to the ferry terminal for ease of access and departure. Also the beach was cute and 2 x swimming pools, and the place looks attractive. Davao to Samal on the Ferry 10 peso per person only and the ferry runs every 30 minutes... perfect

Great ambience at a convenient location”
At first we were hesitant to book this because we were afraid that it might not be up-to-par. After staying there, we were pleasantly surprised. The "private beach" is decent, maybe even better than some of the rocky beaches in the area. The view around the infinity pool area is also excellent. Minor issues with the room door being loose and toilet being hard to flush, but those aside, we had a great stay at Camp Holiday.

Pleasant Hotel nice atmosphere”
I was in a very comfortable room in the main building. The staff was pleasant and very friendly. There is a nice atmosphere with all the locals from Davao who comes to camp near the sea every night. The Food at the hotel restaurant was excellent but it takes between 20 and 25 minutes to be served. Be patient. Swimming in front of the hotel was not very attractive as the swimming area is right next to where the Barge arrives.

Well trained and friendly staff”
We have a 7 month old baby and the location of this resort was very easy to get to. It's ideal if you live in Davao City and don't want to have the burden of traveling a long way. It was very quiet during the week and not too busy. Weekends are busy due to the number of people going there for the day. It has an exclusive pool for checked in guests which wasn't packed and relaxing. The real bonus was the staff. They are very well trained, polite and extremely helpful

A Pleasant Surprise”
We had avoided this place for the longest time because it was right next to the pier. We thought it would be noisy and that the beach would be dirty. But it was the exact opposite! It was not exactly quiet but it was very peaceful. It was also very, very clean and all the staff exuded positive energy. They always smiled. Only thing we would change would be the speed of service for food. It took a bit longer than usual. Other than that, this place is the perfect getaway. We would definitely be coming back and we would recommend this to our friends. Thanks, Camp Holiday! :)

Nice resort for a low price”
A surprise to find this so near this resort so near ferry terminal. Only 50 meter walk It's very easy to go here. Boat from Davao to Babak cost 10 pesos and take 10 min only If you have low budget go with Bus from Ecoland bus terminal. Bus going to Tagum. Ask driver or conductor to stop near ferry terminal it's only 100 meter walk It's really beautiful here. Nice small house. Basic but all you need. Bed maybe not best bed I I slept but ok. It's like plastic at foam so bed sheet don't want stay. But for a night or 2 it's okay I stay here 2 night but no signal for tv under my visit. No signal they told me. No real wifi. It's ok to me because i don't go here for looking TV and I survive without Internet If you want look at tv bring a laptop and your own wifi. Smart and Globe have both 4G/LTE here. Beach area is very clean. One of best I seen here in Mindanao. Small but not so much people. They have 2 pools. Very clean and fresh. It's beautiful here. Clean and fresh. Green gras

Good enough”
The most accessible resort on Samal Island from Davao City. Good enough for being lazy when on holidays.

Very accessible location”
The price is really cheap for the service that we received from this hotel. The staffs are very attentive to our needs. We loved their infinity pool since we're the only ones who used it. The room is so clean. The only downside is that it takes them long to serve the food you order from their restaurant but overall, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back to this place if we'll visit Davao again.

Near the Wharf”
If you need a place to have an overnight stay and leave for Davao city the next day, it's definitely the perfect one. Room is big enough and clean, restaurant food and beverages are good, staff is helpful. Though it's near the wharf, it's quiet inside it.
