Excelente hotel”
Tuvimos la oportunidad de ser la primera pareja en estrenar el hotel. Nos alojaron en un precioso bungalow con vistas al mar. Poder escuchar las olas del mar mientras duermes es una experiencia magnífica. La piscina estaba todavía sin terminar, pero luce increíble. La comida y la limpieza un 10. Si hubiese que poner alguna pega es que todavía tienen material de construcción en los alrededores, pero aún así lo recomiendo 100%

Everything was good but STOP advertising free pickup/drop-off from and to airport because that did not happen.. 2 days notice was provided. There were foul sewage odor from time to time near the lobby pool area.

it is not really 4 stars as advertising. small swimming Pool, no beach. room rate was not reasonable. Staffs were friendly but not properly training. check- in and check out was not professional. food and beverage in restaurant were not really valuable. breakfast included very very bad, no coffee machine was worked, when i ordered hot dish, they had only instant noodle. it is unacceptable for 4 star resort. i've never be back here anymore.

Nice place. A bit deceiving with the pictures posted though. Main hotel is separate from the beach front. But not much inconvenience. My initial reaction was of surprise but once I recovered, it was very decent. Getting a pool chair by the main beachfront pool is a major headache with most guests blocking their chairs from as early as 6:30 am. Although it seems, towels occupy the chairs more than actual humans. A major irritant if you are looking for some peaceful time in the pool that overlooks the beach. The staff are extremely friendly and polite and make up for whatever little irritants one may face. All in all, a good value for money.

I enjoyed spent 3 nigts in this hotel a lot, the breakfast was super ! A bit disappointed with the pool near the beach had so many beach chair blocking the view of the pool. oh and the glass partition of my bathroom doesn’t cover well when showering, the bath were all wet and a bit flooded after shower each time.

When we arrived, the hotel was far from completed. There were only 10 rooms completed and ready for customers to use. These 10 rooms are nearest the beach and more expensive then the others (that were still under construction). We were pleased to be upgraded to one of these rooms. The hotel was nice and clean and we liked it a lot. There was no problem to find a sun bed next to the pool, as there were only 10 rooms completed. However, one guest leaned against the pool, and a piece from the pool feel off the brand new pool. Seems like a bad job from the labor force.

The management is refurbishing the hotel, hence noise and mess of construction is unavoidable. Many Russian tourists and the hotel could improve by including shower stands by the pool for the guests and erect some no smoking sign for guests. Was disappointed that the hotel missed out our airport pick up.

I would like to say most bad reviews here don’t know what they are saying because I was mislead by them, this facility is great!! Good service, when I complained about my view I got upgraded to an amazing 180 degree view of the beach. Which was so amazing. Wished I wasn’t misled but I definitely recommend them, food was fresh and delicious, Thank you The palmy resort.

Far from town centre, bad encounter”
The Palmy is generally a beautiful hotel. However, I had bad encounters. First night, I was checked into a room with a spoilt window curtain in the bathroom. We called reception to have someone take a look, while we go out for dinner. When we were back from dinner, the curtain wasn't fixed yet. We called the reception again. Someone came to fix it, and I had to watch the worker fix the curtain. Only after a while, then the reception called again to tell us they will changed a room for us. In the next room, we were given single beds instead of a double. Oh well. In the restaurant, we were wrongly charged (less) for our order initially. I will most willingly pay the right amount, but the new receipt showed a wrong amount, different from the price in the menu. In short, the menu was poorly represented which mislead us to think one of the drink cost less than it should be. Lastly, a later check out timing charges by hour. My flight out is at 6pm. I loitered in lobby for a good 3 hrs.

First day when we arrived, the pipe of toilet is broken, when we flush the toilets water came out from the wall . The staff helped us to change the room. But took a while to find room for us. Then two days later the air conditioner is broken again. We need to change a room again .

This is everything more than expected!!”
The room is big and clean. The swimming pool with the sea view is amazing!! I would spend a day there for watching sunrise till sunset! The staff are friendly and are willing to help. Though not all of them speak English, they are all so nice! The food in the hotel restaurant is also great, especially should try with the PIZZA! But some of the places are still under construction, which is a bit messy(very little, barely notice) and some time with noises, but not in the bed time. I had good sleep during living in. Anyways, will definitely come PALMY for next visit here!

The location itself is good. It's in the Tourist's street. You will have many choices regarding massage, food, bar, dessert, and so on and close to the air port about 10 minutes. They provide free pick up and drop off to the air port, staffs are kind and willingly. In general, room condition and facilities are not so good. Fungus in bath room, amenities are not replaced everyday, sands on the room floor, no room services, no bath robes, dirty slippers(they re-use them), ... although, i had a great ocean view from the 9th floor. There are two pools, one by the ocean where you will have breakfast, the other one in front of the room building. The size itself is not bad but there are a lot of competition going on on the ocean side pool sunbeds. They have many sunbeds but more people. It is likely that you will not be able to lay down on one of them. Also the beach is too close to the resort, it's almost.. there is no beach. the ocean starts right away in front of the resort.

Looks good from outside, but inside room and facilities are very bad”
Unwise investors put money in for good Italian-looking tiles and marble and skim on a professional manager and staff, resulting in a facility that is dirty, unfinished with lots of maintenance issues. Road in front of and leading to resort still unpaved after 9 monthsbof service; water fountain not operational; sand everywhere on the bricks n tiles of the facility because it does NOT have fresh water shower and/or hose for people to rinse off sand before entering the rooms... unheard of for a beach resort. They must have skimned on hiring a professional resort designing team as well. I have NOT one good thing to say about this resort.

This place is cleaner than many alternatives on the island, but still sub-par compared to most places around the world. There certainly are some friendly staff members, but little they can do with the infrastructure and hotel design issues...water leaks, lack of running water at other times.
