Solo buena ubicación, el resto pesimo, decepcionante, caro, sucio sin servicio en habitacion, no la limpiaban ni la habitacio ni el baño, no cambian toallas ni sabanas habia que solicitar el javon y el champu👎

GOOD VALUE BUDGET HOTEL”
This is an old hotel with excellent facilities - rooms not large, however, very very clean with own bathroom, tea & coffee making facilities, fridge, toiletries etc. Unfortunately at the time breakfast was not available. Meals at cafe and bar very reasonable and good. ONE MAJOR POINT, because of the introduction of the Metro going right past the hotel in George Street, taxis cannot drop passengers at hotel, in fact, our taxi driver had no idea of where to take us. Once ensconced in the hotel, however, the Metro is excellent transport. Central Station is only a 3 minute walk away. Would stay there again for its convenience and price.

We stayed twice here. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean and tidy. Reception is very friendly and caring. During the first stay I forgot a valuable gold necklace with two talismans in the room and they have found it and kept for collection during the next visit. During the second stay my wife has locked one of the key cards in her bag and she could not find the key to open it while we were to rush for a long distance train. Reception was so kind and let us go wothout any fuss. Truly grateful to the Great Southern Hotel. We will definitely stay again during our next visit to Sydney!

Comfortable, Affordable, Central. Great!”
A great hotel in a great location. Walking distance to Central, even closer to light rail. Is it flash? No. Is it everything you need, and then some? Absolutely! A pub downstairs, comfortable beds, clean and tidy, and packed with history. I spent 20 minutes in the lobby looking at photographs and artefacts. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. The place is more than charming and I can't see myself staying anywhere else for my future central Sydney trips.

Solo Traveler - Short stay”
I could not say any negative thing about this hotel. I luckily got the cheap price. only paid about 140bucks for 2nights. the room and service is beyond my expectation. Fairly sized room with complete amenities. The room is incredibly clean and the bed is comfortable (might be too hard for some but i dont like soft ones as they give me back ache) the room is pretty quiet despite centrally located. The staff are nice and quick. I’ll definitely wait for cheap deals and book again 😅

My one and only grumble would be the pillows! We couldn't get comfortable pillows but we are fussy. Apart from that the room was not large but plenty of space for 2. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was wonderfully large. The staff were polite and helpful. The location was wonderful, close to light rail and train, good shopping etc. I would highly recommend the Great Southern Hotel.

The location of the hotel is really great because it's just a couple minutes walk from Central station which connects to the airport. It's also walking distance to so many nearby restaurants, darling harbour, the powerhouse museum etc. The room was a little dated but it was clean and staff were nice, plus it's great value for money. I will definitely stay again on my next trip to Sydney.

Good price and good location”
Staying overnight to catch a plane the next day, less than 5 mins walk to Central station, easy to access airport. Good location, close to Chinatown. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and neat. Room was a good size with a nice ensuite. The hotel is showing its age a bit but all things considered that is to be expected.

Fantastic location right in the middle of Chinatown and literally next to Central Station which has direct access to Sydney International & Domestic airports. Excellent staff who were more than happy to cooy some travel docunents for me and any number of restaurants and bars close by. A bit dated but the room was clean and the hotel has tons of character, would recommend.

my visit to Sydney was fun, shopping the great southern hotel was right in the middle of town close to everything. You can hop on the tram or walk to most places. I had a great time meeting my friends. the hotel was clean room and bathroom big enough. great place

Compact but clean”
Close to everything. Rooms are Clean and the room does not smells smoke. Room is compact but I’m alone so it’s just perfect. Staff were helpful and nice. Check in and out was a breeze. Will definitely come back.

When I’m in Sydney working long hours and I need to stay in town this hotel has to be the cheapest and best value for money for what it offers . It feels five star and has an old Art Deco look about it . Like that it has a restaurant and pub with gaming area for entertainment . and is within close proximity to most ammenities in Sydney . Staff are friendly and helpful !

Location is fantastic as transport is in walking distance. Central Station 5-8 minute walk. Clean basic comfortable rooms and appealing when you get it for a good nightly rate. A good experience

Only 500 mtrs from Central Station, Staff couldn't be more helpful, nice clean quiet room. Right next to Paddys Market and a short stroll to Darling Harbour, what more could you want. Excellent.

Close to Central Railway Station. ”
This Establishment is very central to Central Railway Station and the light rail was right outside the door. Chinatown and Paddys Market were out the back and there is plenty of options of eateries. We had breakfast in the Hotel every morning as it was affordable and filling. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they made us very welcome.

The Southern ”
Excellent place to stay, definitely cheapest for what you get. Great central location close to Chinatown for the best meals. The Chef downstairs also puts out great meals. Staff are always welcoming and happy to help with anything questions or help about town (Shut out to Anthony). Definitely recommend.

Older hotel but has everything you need”
Every time I visit Sydney at least once or twice a year I always stay here. Light rail at the door, trains 5 minutes walk. Chinatown and Paddys Markets at the back door. Safe area for solo travellers and close to all Sydney has to offer. Good pub meals and breakfast available. Highly recommend this hotel.
