Resort ubicado en zona tranquila, con pequeña playa privada en la q se dispone de tumbonas y kayas, se necesita vehículo/taxi para moverse a zonas más concurridas (mercado nocturno). El resort tiene encanto en la decoración, pero la atención y servicio no es su fuerte. En nuestro caso equivocación tras otra, lavandería, servicio de restaurante muy lento y no especialmente bueno, desayuno bufett poco variado. Buena opción si se busca localización de playa tranquila, bonita y adsequible, sin preocupar demasiado la carencia de servicios del resort (poca habilidad para gestionar los huéspedes), muy cerca de hotel 5 estrellas donde puedes ir a comer/cenar con moto/bici/taxi

Paradise !”

The place is definitely out of town. Exactly like how other travellers had described, the road heading to the cottage has yet to be fully developed, i.e. bumpy and dark at night. However, the place is truly a paradise (with the sea few steps away from the rooms), hence the bumpy and dark road should not be a concern anymore as you wouldn't want to get out of that place. There's free kayak, and snorkelling gears. No night entertainment aside stars glazing, listening to waves or watching TV. It had a restaurant which opens till dinner and the food may not be great but it's edible. Staffs (Linh and Yuen) and the owner were really a gem. Friendly and capable of conversing in simple English. Thanks guyz ! Will definitely return !!

Great Beach Location”

This is a wonderful hotel! It is located away from the crowded beaches. They have kayaks, snorkel sets, life jackets, and beach toys available to use. Our kids loved it ! Breakfast was included and amazing. Dinner and lunch options were plenty and they did bbq’s two of our nights. Very reasonably priced food and drinks. Driver at the hotel you can hire for an island tour, to take you wherever you please. There was a boat to charter to take you snorkeling at a nearby island. Staff went out of their way to make sure all were happy. No touts on beach selling things. Construction going on nearby but I believe this is the reality of Phu Quoc and it didn’t bother us at all, save for a crane in the background of our sunset pictures.....Perfect location for a family or a couple wanting to be away from the busy beach areas.

relax and comfortable resort”

The owner is kind enough offer complimentary pickup from airport to the resort. This is big helps for us, as we had 4 kids travel with us. On the way to the resort, last part of the road condition is bad. But when we arrive at resort, we was welcome by the owner and allow us to check-in without any waiting. Initially we are worry about language barrier, but it is not an issue as most of the staff in the resort can understand English and helpful providing information we are looking. My kids recommend me stay in this hotel again if we have another vacation in this island.

Getting away ”

This was an awesome little family holiday for four adults and three kids (ages 5, 8 and 11). The staff were really welcoming and helpful and the breakfasts were great. There are just a couple of other bungalow places on this beach so it wasn't crowded at all but there's a bit of variety for dinners (we ate here twice and enjoyed both and ate at another once- good too!). They have kayaks and life jackets, hammocks and a tree swing, sand toys and snorkeling equipment. The surf was fun to play in and a we did a bit of kayaking and snorkeling too (snorkeling along the rock pier at the end of the beach). It's just 10-15 minutes from here to the VinPearl themeparks and we spent one day at the amusement park one (it has a range of rides for various ages, an aquarium, a game arcade and a waterpark- there is also a VinPearl safari park across the street). We had a wonderful family holiday getaway here.

WONDERFUL”

I came in a rainy day, the road to the resort was bad and wild. But all these uncomfortable things disappeared when I was homly welcomed by the owner. The resort was small but you can find everything here. Super clean beach, so nice and convenient bungalow with Asian rural design, just 10 step to the beach. Food is delicious at suitable price. Highly recommended for a hide-away holiday! I will come back soon!

First of all, i have to say that the short stay is really wonderful at a very piecefully beach, i feel the best privacy here. the owner is super nice. Since the low season, she offers me free late check out until 6pm. Other things are very worthy to your money except the distance from the airport. Because i travel alone, and drive motorbike from the airport to the resort, it took my time because of some bad roads and got lost on the way. However, those disappeared when i checked in here. Good place for honeymoon and escape the busy life

If you want to chill go to this place. Best quality beach on the island. 10 times better then all the expensive resorts. Rent a scooter if you want to see the island or go to a supermarket. Its far from town but thats why we loved it. Far away from all the Russian tourist...

Hidden Gem”

Beautiful, CLEAN beach and water (which seems to be rare on the island). Nothing compares to walking 20 steps from bungalow to water. If you are looking for relaxation and quiet beach time, this is it! Definitely want to come back to visit someday (if it weren’t 30 hrs away from home).

Small family run guest house with spacious ocean front bungalows. A bit of construction noise but right along a huge stretch of undeveloped beach front. Free kayaks make it easy to see more of the coast. This part of the island is changing quickly.

secluded paradise! ”

don't be alarmed when you leave the main road and go down a very bumpy dirt track. this is the way to the resort! the resort is small with about ten huts and a main open restaurant in the middle. the huts are about ten meters from the sea. it's truly beautiful, the restaurant does a variety of food at a very reasonable price and is all very nice! the resort is very quite. after dinner this is no entertainment or any where to go unless you get a taxi into the main town. perfect of you want to relax. the resort will organise anything you want from snorkeling trips to taxis around the island. the rooms are basic but have everything you need. van pearl safari is only five minutes drive away and I would highly recommend going for a visit. also the floating fish restaurant at star fish beach is 40 min drive and it's definitely a must see! Vietnamese people are very small in size. so if you are larger size I would recommend taking your own towles and beach towels. taxis are cheap and the best way to get around if you want to do a tour it cost about £40 for the day. we also hired a local boat to go snorkeling for about £30. this was much cheaper than doing a local tour. staff are all super friendly,. I would stay here again! such a beautiful beach!

Great stay at Gold Sand Beach!”

Very nice hotel composed of about 10 individual bungalows right next to a clean beach of golden sand. The hotel shares the beach with two or three other Ressorts of the same kind and size (the hotel is situated at the edge of the beach right next to a jetty used by fisher boats). In November, it was very quiet. There were barely 15 other tourists using the beach and only two other guests in our hotel. The beach was great for swimming and relaxing, very clean with swings and hammocks and we as well as our kids (5 and 7 years old) enjoyed our time (no snorkeling though). Kayaks are available without additional charge and we did trips in both directions to even more secluded beaches. The owner is very helpful and helped organizing our further trip. We had made plans in advance about visiting different places and beaches on the island, but as the reviews regarding these were rather ambivalent, we just stayed the whole 5 days at the Ressort. Food is ok, but nothing exceptional. However, at the road right behind the hotel is a small (not at all fancy looking) restaurant (Viking bar and grill, as I recall) that serves cheap and amazing food. Please note that the Ressort is kind of in the middle of nowhere. If you are looking for a big choice of restaurants, bars, entertainment etc in a walking distance this is not the place to be.

Wonderful bungalows steps from the beach. Family owned & operate 4 bungalows on the beach. They also cook for you. Scooters available for rent. Exceptionally friendly & attentive staff. definitely stay there again.

Good value for money and right on the beach”

Very caring and attentive owners. The beach is lovely. The bungalows are nice and new and very clean and the air conditioning as well as the wifi work really well. There is unfortunately noise coming from next door. There are trucks and a crane moving gravel, regularly honking their horns which is very annoying. Only for this reason, I cannot recommend staying here currently. Please also note that the airport shuttle service is only included for the initial pickup.You have to pay for your return journey yourself. Without the noise from next door, it would have been magnificient.

Such a good experience. Clean, peaceful, welcoming homely and good service. I do not have enough kind words for the staff at this place. I was greeted by the owner and manager Li who speaks English very well. She helped me a lot as my luggage was lost in some airport on my way there. So I can't thank her enough for her time and effort! The kindness of chef Manh, who invented Manhs "sauna" (a dish) for me, restaurant assistant Than/Cara, who was patient in teaching me some Vietnamese phrases was heartwarming! Even though they are building a resort close by I wasn't really disturbed by it. I quickly got used to a little bit of noise sometimes when the ships unloaded during the day. If you want more western food you can just go to the resort next door fr meals. But I recommend staying at Gold sand and try some Vietnamese food.
