Exceptional”

Superb location to see spectacular pristine natural attractions. No crowds. Busuanga Bay Lodge (BBL) has a breath taking lobby and infinity pool. Rooms are fabulous only surpassed by the smiling warmth of the professional attentive staff. A truly well run guest focused facility. I read the cell and internet has been an issue with this resort in the past but good news is a new cell tower is being erected as at Oct 2018 - so no future issues for social media addicts. Do not miss BBL and it’s micro South Cay private day tripper Island with azure waters and it’s white powdered sand beach straight out of a dream. Can’t say enough about this place. Have travelled the world extensively first class and seen the rest. This is the best for the paultry money you’ll spend at BBL when others charge up to five times as much. Do yourself a favour and book this place but don’t tell too many as I won’t get in next time if everyone books. Yes - I am a genuine Australian guest. Elated as you can tell.

Comfort Travel”

location, amenities, staff

When you go search for rooms to stay in Coron, Palawan, most likely you return with two types of accommodation. There are the numerous budget hotels that you can commonly find in the town center and are close to the port where you take off for your island hopping or other water activities. On the opposite spectrum are the luxury resorts that are remote but expectedly having the best amenities. It is quite challenging to find mid-range resorts that are accessible and affordable while providing well appointed amenities... until I learned about Busuanga Bay Lodge. It is accessible from the town center (45 mins), got deluxe amenities (infinity pool, own beach front, docking station, bar, cafe, water activities), where rooms are huge including the bathroom (king bed, down pillow, duvet, office desk, snack bar that gets refilled daily, flat screens, rain shower, toiletries, clean-as-new sheets and towels). There villa-type layout provides you a great deal of privacy too. They provide guests an easy access around the resort with their Club Cars. The arrangement from transfers to planned activities are well laid out, they even plan out your late check out to usher you just in time for your departure. The staff are pros in what they do. I was most impressed at how the room service accommodated our request for in-room breakfast because we were too lazy to join the buffet at the pavillion. They set the breakfast up with all the works and arrived timely despite our last-minute request. I enjoyed the infinity pool, overlooking landscapes and the calm waters of Busuanga Bay. The best part were the island hopping and diving activities we arranged using a speedboat. Two itineraries that shouldn't be missed are the Coral Garden and WW2 wrecks. Palawan is indeed best explored underwater. The things not working for BBL to me are the food quality and choices, the dirt road leading to the resort, wifi and network connectivity. The last three do matter so I'm giving this a 4/5.

Amazing secluded diving resort”

Van pickup from airport costs Php1,000 per person per way. It's quite steep but it's the most convenient way for travelers to go to Busuanga Bay Lodge (BBL) as the resort is quite secluded from the CBD area. This said, there's no other facilities around hence most dining venues are in BBL (prices are from Php600-Php1,500) or the Alfaro resort across it (5 minutes boat ride needed. I think it's Php150 per head but it's free if you consume Php2,000 worth of meals). For food selections, BBL is more on the expensive side but I find it a greater value for money as it's gourmet dishes as compared to Alfaro. The facilities are superb. Very picturesque, very clean, and the staff services are amazing. They know when we're out for activities and when we're coming back in. Every time we return to our rooms, we were always greeted by newly made beds and neatly folded towels. Diving experiences were great as well. Shipwrecks! Overall, I had a wonderful stay here. Recommended!

Exceptional”

Busuanga Bay Lodge has excellent diving facilities, and the staff is very helpful, ALL of the staff: diving centre and all. The restaurant is top quality, and I really appreciate that they use primarily locally sourced produce, particularly the fresh produce; this fact of supporting the local agriculture and fishing trade is very forward thinking and conscientious. The rooms were very good (I shared a twin with a friend). The spa is also noteworthy and I enjoyed two very good massages during my stay there.

beautiful place, food, and staff

we had a very lovely stay in busuanga bay lodge. everything was beautiful, the staff were very friendly, and the food was great. the only thing about this resort is that it is about an hour and half away from the airport and from the major sights in coron so you have to take the shuttle everytime you plan to go elsewhere. it is perfect for people who are willing to just escape and keep still in this wonderful resort.

Wonderful Holiday in Coron/BBL”

Modern Amenities. Beautiful Views. Peaceful Surroundings.

Offhand, let me just say that Coron is absolutely beautiful. I will definitely come back. BBL is pretty far from Coron Town proper where most of the tours start (about an hour away). However, the beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere more than make up for the travel time. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The room I stayed in is really nice and well-maintained. Food is okay, although I loved the beef tapa I had for breakfast during my last day. Wi-fi is intermittent. Cell signals are not that great as well, although it's mostly because of the resort's remote location. BBL is situated along the mountain side, so the views are just amazing especially from the infinity pool area. As a solo traveler, I really intended to clock in some relaxation with a fair amount of sightseeing/swimming/adventure. The island tours (c/o Coron Galeri) covered the adventure part. Busuanga Bay Lodge covered the relaxation part with the nice pool, lounging areas, alternate activities like kayaking and the spa. I am recommending BBL to my family and we might come back here next time I'm in Coron.

A Perfect Place to Relax”

With the daily hustle and bustle that we encounter in the big cities like Metro Manila , a vacation like this is a must. Waking up witnessing the sunrise with the view of the Pearl Bay and not rushing with all the to do list. Taking a quick dip at the infinity pool and followed by a complimentary plated breakfast of your choice from their breakfast menu is just a simple way to start your day here at Buasuanga Bay Lodge. Staying at this Resort Hotel is already amazing but if it's your first time here in Palawan you will be more surprise by exploring the nearby island. I really enjoy my short stay here and we'll definitely come back again.

Stunning”

the pool view, the staff's performance, the food

First thing that will catch your attention is the magnificent view - lobby leads to the infinity pool which opens up to the vast and stunning view of Busuanga Bay. Staff performance was excellent as well - they were attentive, knowledgeable, and prompt. Food and hotel services were not grossly overpriced. That said, my gripe would be about travelling in and out of the resort. The road leading from the airport is not yet completely cemented so you have to endure the bumpy and dusty ride. And given the lack of alternative transport options, the resort's airport transfer is quite pricey- around $50 per way for a bumpy ride on a ordinary utility vehicle. But this is just nitpicking on my part. Overall, it was a short yet sweet stay at BBL.

Excellent Hideaway”

If you are looking to getaway from the maddening urban life.. this is it.. this resort sits in the middle of Busuanga Bay, excellent and uber friendly staff, clean and nice facilities, wifi if you want to be away but still want to be in touch. Caveat though - food is very pricey - average cost of a meal for one is around P700++ (+service charge + vat) That said.. if you're looking into exploring the islands be prepared prior to your trip! Since most of the tourist spots here is in Coron which is 1.5hrs by boat or 1.2hrs by land - you would have to either join a group (Joiners - which will only push through if they have enough people grouped together) or make arrangements with a local guide - For our party of 5 - our one day Coron island hopping trip with lunch came to +/-2.5k each - But that was worth every cent of it!

Really out of expectation and thanks for this wonderful resort”

My fiancée and I enjoyed a wonderful rest in this resort...... Quite far from Coron Town (almost 40km). I took tricycle 1.5 hours from town and arrived with music and cheers. Staffs were very good and fulfilled my special requirement (took pre-wedding photos) during sunny weather. All staffs were very helpful and filled with smiles. Dinner and breakfast were also very good. Room was good and clean. Really out of expectation!! I also enjoyed free kayaking and seeing the beautiful sunset. Finally, I took the resort shuttle van to airport within 1 hour and chased the airplane. Strongly recommended to all for 1-2 days rest after busy island hopping at coron. It should be one of the best resort among Busuanga.

Exceptional”

Amazing experience. Staff was great. Restaurant servers could improve on following up on guests if anything else was needed in our table. Clearing up dirty dishes from our table would be nice to avoid ants feasting on our left over foods. Over all, LOVED it and my kids had a wonderful time. Thank you Busuanga, and big thank you to all the staff! Yours very truly, Mary Noval 604.309.1633

Short Vacation”

Spent 2 days at Busuanga Bay Lodge. The hotel is nice, well staffed, and the food is good. The scenery is also great with awesome views. That is where the pros end. This place is 1 hour from the airport. Basically in the middle of no where.. If you want to just stay on the property and relax then this is the place for you, BUT if you want to do any site seeing. Beware... Because of the location of the Hotel you will pay about $80 to get to and from the hotel and this doesn't include the cost of the said tour. The Hotel's tours and activities are extremely expensive for the Philippines. They charge per person for a vehicle tour. Not for 2 vehicles but for 1 vehicle.. Again it is a nice hotel, BUT I would not recommend it.. It is too remote..

Hotel highly recommended for a relaxing and very comfortable stay”

I definitely recommend this hotel: rooms more than comfortable, staff very nice, breakfast amazing, and the views from the rooms and restaurants are outstanding. More specifically, we loved our 2 dives in the hotel: Jennifer is the perfect dive master - don't hesitate to try your first wreck diving here you won't regret it. We enjoyed a lot the infinite pool as well as the small beach in the hotel. You can also use kayak and paddle for free to discover the bay. Would love to come back!

Luxury hotel with good facilities in remote location”

BBL is a great hotel with attentive staff and nicely appointed rooms. Restaurant serves good food but is more or less only choice given Coron Town is 45 minutes away by car and nothing much in between so do take note of the location when booking as it depends on the type of holiday you want. Hotel can arrange island tours but do note that it's ALOT pricier compared to options in town so you're essentially paying for the convenience of getting picked up and dropped off at the hotel instead of in town. Best part is the view of the bay and the infinity pool which you can watch sunset from.

An amazing place...”

BBL is an amazing and beautiful resort. No one can deny the beauty of the place and its location. It's the most beautiful place to stay at if you go to Busuanga. Food is well portioned but a bit slightly overpriced. The main problem is that there is nothing else nearby to go to. City attractions, tours, boat docks, restaurants, and airport are about an hour's drive away. Another downfall to this resort is that they charge WAY TOO MUCH for van service. Cost for van service anywhere is 1,000 per person one way. It's best to get a hold of a local who can provide a van service for a lot less cheaper. Overall, I would definitely return for time of relaxation and to enjoy the scenery.
