Pleasant Stay at Burmahtel”

I stay 2 nights at Burmahtel Hotel, and it was pleasant stay. The room is clean and comfortable. It's easy to find good food and store around the hotel. Easy trasport with Rapid Penang to Georgetown and Batu Ferringhi. Although the entrance of this hotel is quite confusing, we get used to it fast. It's really a great value for money

Value money. Family Suite with 2 Queen Bed & 1 Single Bed & Table kitchen, TV, Heater Water & Hair dryer include in room. Iron board outside room, sharing with others. Location very stategic ..only 10 minit to Padang KOta Lama... Easy to find Burmahtel Hotel... For muslim member, u can bring along Sejadah & find the Kiblat by Apps... For me & fmly , Burmahtel Hotel much better to stay for rest & sleep... Check in on 21 Dec 2019.

Nice and Tidy Place”

Burmahtel is a nice and tidy hotel to stay. The price is right, strategic location for culinary and near traditional market. If you have appointment to hospital, it's near to Adventist Hospital and Gleneagles Medical Center.

Not bad, value for money”

We booked Burmahtel hotel because it is not far from the Youth Park (which we participated in Newton Challenge the next morning). Overall the Burmahtel Hotel was Okay. Clean, good staff, easy check in & check out. Clean room with fully functioning air-conditioned and fan,hot water in the shower, big TV, good Wifi. And it was cheap.. The only problem was the construction which was going on 3rd floor during the day. It was very loud and noisy as we were staying on 3rs floor as well.

At the first sight the hotel was horrible at the outside but when you were inside it would change your mind about it. The hotel is nice with the clean room and bathroom. The bathroom itself had a shower n pail which i found very usefull. For the elevator it can only fit 4-5 people. If more, the elevator cannot functioning well.. Burmahtel is a strategic place to live. It near hospital, shopping mall, temples, and Pulau tikus. Moreover there is a bus stop across the street in front of the hotel. Bus that stop in front of it is bus number 103.

Comfort, convenience”

Room spacious. Very near to everywhere in Penang old town. Got parking for family car, good condition in room like shower room, good water heater with great water pressure, big bed, spacious enough. Can walk 8 mins to a morning typical food restaurant with various kind of food stall to choose.

We are last minute booking customer, the price of the hotel offer in agoda really cheap for us as we have 4 family members to stay in. The room of the hotel is really clean and news, two air conditional was at our room, equip with the refrigerator. We will highly recommend for those budget backpacker to stay this hotel as you can get a cheap price with a quality sleep. Besides, staff also ok.

The room is clean although the walkway from hotel entrance to the rooms is less satisfactory. The hotel is located at shop lots, there are few parking space available in from of the shop lots. Basically, it's just a room for you to sleep. There is a flat screen TV in the room with astro channels. It's a good choice if you are looking for a cheap and clean room.

Pros: Very Clean Room, Very comfortable! Staff are very friendly. Cons: The door room can be improve, anyway, i understand the hotel is currently undergoin renovation I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Clean room and also this hotel is near to the places of attraction.

internet not working”

Maxis Hotlink, the one fastest in Malaysia, and so far never fail to amaze me with 10+ Mbps around Penang, FAIL TO CONNECT when staying inside the hotel. in my room, it's only 3G, and that is not usable. my other card Digi, despite being 4G inside the room, also not usable. As comparison when I stay at other hotel, Maxis 4G+ reach 10+ Mbps, and Digi 4G reach 2-3 Mbps. so I thought the wifi can be a saviour, I was DAMNED. The wifi is far, around -80 db, and half the time disconnecting from the wifi. when it's connecting, the speed was around 500 kbps (not even a mbps), with 500+ ms latency, and high jitter (many packet drops). tldr: the wifi is WORSE than my dial-up experience. wont recommend anyone stay here, no internet = no life

Very nice hostel”

I like this hostel a lot, for the discount price they're offering through agoda that means a lot, this hostel is in the city, so very easy for you to find food, close to mall and glenagles hospital, room is clean, bathroom is quite small but ok, ac is ok, it is build from old house, so you will feel the uniqueness of it, i might stay again if i have to go to hospital again

Comfortable, good value for money”

My friends and I were registered in the Newton Run and the closest and cheapest hotel to the venue was Burmahtel. It was a pleasant one night stay considering that we only paid RM140 for the entire room which fits 4 comfortably. Here is the downside though: they were renovating the hotel so there was a lot of hacking and drilling which was super annoying (and quite odd since it was a Sunday) because we really wanted to get some sleep before driving back to KL.

Owner needs to understand the Customers' need”

The staff at the hotel were very kind and helpful; good location. cleanliness is ok; however the construction works within the premise of the hotel makes uncomfortable and noisy; There is no telephone number of the hotel except the owner's hand phone number; but she was very, very selfish and not willing to help- when we asked for GPS coordinates of the hotel; so we wasted lot of time driving around the area as the GPS couldn't identify the hotel; the owner only wants to send the location through WHATS-APP-but when we told we don't have mobile data to use whats-app, and requested for GPS coordinates to be sent by SMS, she refused; we have people of this kind in this world who owns the hotel, but never wants to understand the customers; I hope the good works of the staff in the hotel should be supported by owner's change of attitude towards customers.

The hotel is in a very good location as it is right in town. Although it is quite an old hotel, the rooms were clean and comfortable. However, during the night, we were a little unnerved over the condition of the hotel as we had to go through very eerily quiet hallways to get to our room. Would not recommend staying here alone though. Overall it was a good stay.
